GROUNDS MAINTENANCE VEHICLE WITH ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM

Suspension systems and grounds maintenance vehicles incorporating the same are disclosed. The suspension system may include biasing elements or springs that may be adjusted to vary the preload and thus change the spring and dampening characteristics of the suspension system. In some embodiments, the system may include an adjustment mechanism that permits simultaneous adjustment of two springs via a single action. In other embodiments, features adapted to assist an operator with mounting/dismounting the vehicle are disclosed.

Low profile adjustable vehicle seat mount assembly

A vehicle seat mounting system includes a seat mount plate and a vehicle mount plate. A vertically operable scissor linkage assembly is disposed between the seat mount plate and the vehicle mount plate and is oriented such that respective opposing ends of a first scissor arm and a second scissor arm are each secured to a respective one of the seat mount plate and the vehicle mount plate. A spring assembly is disposed between the seat mount plate and the vehicle mount plate and is oriented to cooperate with the scissor linkage assembly to resist translation between the vehicle mount plate and the seat mount plate. An adjuster assembly cooperates with the spring assembly and is operable to manipulate the proportion of the spring assembly that is available to be engaged to resist motion of the mounting system.

The present invention is an elevated vehicle system. The preferred embodiment of the present invention has a steering wheel, an engine, a plurality of seats, a plurality of windows, and a plurality of wheels. The steering wheel rotates to turn the plurality of wheels. The engine has a transmission and power system. The power system is a battery that provides power to various components within the present invention. The plurality of seats has a seatbelt, a hydraulic lift, and a plurality of buttons. The seatbelt is a flexible, nonelastic material that holds a passenger in their seat. The hydraulic lift is a mechanical system that lifts and lowers the seat. The plurality of buttons is used to control the height positioning of the seat. Additionally, a sensor is used to control the raising and lowering of the seats.

VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE

A control device controls a vehicle including a seat suspension which is provided between a chassis and a seat of the vehicle and restricts vibration and of which each of a spring constant and a damping coefficient is changeable and controllable. The control device detects, as vehicle information, a vehicle speed, an acceleration, a state of acceleration operation by a driver, a state of deceleration operation by the driver, and a state of steering by the driver. The control device determines, based on the vehicle information, whether the driver has driving preference of emphasizing the steering stability performance of the vehicle or driving preference of emphasizing the ride comfort performance of the vehicle, and, according to the determined driving preference, changes an acceleration of the seat by controlling the seat suspension.

Semi-Active Seat Suspension System

Provided is a semi-active seat suspension system that minimizes vibration and energy transmission from a vibration/energy source, such as a motor vehicle, to a seated occupant by means of a spring and computer-controlled damper suspension system. Using a variety of sensors to determine an ideal damping rate at a given point in time, the system adjusts the damping rate in real time to provide the best possible ride to the occupant given the constraints of the system.

A vehicle seat comprising a seat part extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction (X) and in the vehicle transverse direction (Y) and including a backrest part is provided. The vehicle seat includes a seat substructure for suspending and/or damping at least the seat part with respect to the body of a vehicle. The seat substructure comprises at least one horizontal suspension device that includes a body-side lower part and a seat-part-side upper part displaceable with respect thereto. A coupling device is arranged interactively between the seat-part-side upper part and the body-side lower part, and includes a deformable suspension element as a first coupling element and a bearing and deformation device as a further coupling element.

Demonstrating an active vibration isolation system

Active vibration isolation (AVI) systems are becoming more available in various markets, one such market being vehicle operator seating. Unfamiliarity with the performance of such systems may cause users initial perceptions of system performance to be unfavorable. AVI systems can include a demonstration system capable of providing simulations too users of various types of vibration isolation systems under various input conditions, so that users can be introduced to the system benefits over other systems before using an AVI equipped product in its intended application.
