Suspension seating surface edge encapsulation method, seating surface carrier and seat made therewith
A seat includes a seat surface having a periphery and a carrier overmolded onto the seat surface over the periphery. The carrier has a periphery and a frame is overmolded onto the carrier over the carrier periphery. The seat is assembled without fasteners. A method for making the seat includes overmolding a carrier onto a periphery of a seat surface to form a seat surface/carrier assembly, tensioning the seat surface/carrier assembly in a mold and overmolding a frame onto a periphery of the seat surface/carrier assembly.

A vehicle seat according to the present invention includes: a seat back frame constituting a framework of a seat back; a blower disposed in the seat back; a bracket to which the blower is fixed; and a cover member provided on the rear side of the seat back frame. Herein, the bracket is fixed to the cover member with the seat back frame being held between the bracket and the cover member.

In a structure in which a lower arm is fixed to a vehicle, provided is a vehicle seat that can reduce an impact applied to a recliner. One aspect of the present disclosure is a vehicle seat including a lower arm and a recliner. The lower arm includes an arm body to which the recliner is attached, a first fixing portion to be attached to the vehicle in a lower position, and a second fixing portion attached to the vehicle in a rear position. The arm body includes a first recess arranged between the recliner and the first fixing portion in an up-down direction, the first recess extending from an edge of the arm body, and a second recess arranged between the recliner and the second fixing portion in a front-rear direction, the second recess extending from the edge of the arm body.

In a structure in which a lower arm is fixed to a vehicle, provided is a vehicle seat that can reduce an impact applied to a recliner. The lower arm includes an arm body to which the recliner is attached, a first fixing portion to be attached to the vehicle in a lower position, and a second fixing portion attached to the vehicle in a rear position. A safety belt presentation system includes a safety belt presentation track extending from a first position to a second position spaced from the first position, a latch that includes a tongue disposed between a first side of the latch and second side of the latch and a first coupling portion, and a driving mechanism that includes a second coupling portion configured to releasably couple the first coupling portion of the latch. The driving mechanism is configured to control the latch to move from the first position to the second position along the safety belt presentation track when the first and second coupling portions are coupled.

A first bracket is mounted to the front region of the seatback frame. A second bracket is mounted to the first bracket and the rear region of the seatback frame. At least one head restraint post is mounted to the first bracket or the second bracket and spaced apart from the seatback frame so that upon a rear vehicle impact, the second bracket deforms as the at least one head restraint post is translated toward the seatback frame.
