SEATBACK COMFORT CARRIER
A vehicle seating assembly includes a seatback. A back panel includes a front closeout panel. A carrier supports the seatback and includes an upper thoracic region having a peripheral support. A peripheral gap is defined between the front closeout panel and the upper thoracic region. A bottom portion of the upper thoracic region includes a lower wall having a sinusoidal configuration. A lower lumber region includes a peripheral support. A peripheral gap is defined between the front closeout panel and the lower lumber region. An upper portion of the lower lumbar region includes an upper wall having a sinusoidal configuration. A plurality of concave connectors couple the lower wall of the upper thoracic region with the upper wall of the lower lumber region.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat includes a seat pad configured to support an occupant and having a through-hole extending through the seat pad in a direction from an occupant sitting side toward a side opposite to the occupant sitting side; and a frame member attached to an opening end of the through-hole on the occupant sitting side, the frame member having an opening configured such that a fixation connecting portion of a child safety seat is inserted into the opening. The frame member is provided with an attaching portion attached to the seat pad. The seat pad includes an attachment pad portion provided integrally with an attachment member including an attachment portion to which the attaching portion of the frame member is attached, the attachment pad portion constituting a part of an inner wall surface of the through-hole. The attaching portion is fixed to the attachment portion with a fixing member.
Adjustable firmness vehicle seat
A vehicle seat is provided herein. The vehicle seat includes a cushion disposed within a seating member having at least one inflatable first bladder for selectively adjusting the firmness of the cushion. An inflatable second bladder is separated from a support surface of the seating member by the first bladder and fluidly connected to the first bladder. A vehicle seat hip pivot point is maintained when adjusting the firmness of the cushion by increasing the pressure in the second bladder when the pressure in the first bladder is selectively decreased, and by decreasing the pressure in the second bladder when the pressure in the first bladder is selectively increased.
Foaming die device adapted to effect foaming in trim cover assembly integrally to form headrest, and foaming process for forming headrest by effecting foaming in trim cover assembly integrally, using the foaming die device
A foaming die device for forming a headrest is provided, which comprises a lower die having a first protrusion and an upper die having a second protrusion. The lower and upper dies are used for accommodating a trim cover assembly with a headrest stay portion extending outwardly through a stay passage hole formed in the trim cover assembly. The first and second protrusions are adapted to press and turn over a projected area created about the stay hole into the inside of that trim cover assembly. Also, a foaming process for forming the headrest, using this foaming die device, is provided, in which the projected area is turned over by the first and second protrusions into the trim cover assembly when placing the trim cover assembly in the dies. Hence, conventional preliminary steps using cylindrical stick to turn over the projected area into the trim cover assembly are eliminated.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat includes: a seat cushion having a seat cushion body and a seat cushion front portion, the seat cushion front portion being provided in front of the seat cushion body and configured to be in contact with and distanced from the seat cushion body, and the seat cushion being configured to be rotated so as to be set to a traveling position facing a front of a vehicle and an ingress and egress position facing a side door; and an expansion and contraction mechanism configured such that the seat cushion front portion is brought into contact with the seat cushion body as the seat cushion rotates from the traveling position to the ingress and egress position, and the seat cushion front portion is distanced away from the seat cushion body as the seat cushion rotates from the ingress and egress position to the traveling position.
Vehicle seat assembly having a surface texturing intrusions
In at least one embodiment, the present disclosure provides a vehicle seat assembly comprising a cushion having an “A” surface and a “B” surface, a central portion, and two bolster areas, with each bolster area being adjacent the central portion, with the cushion having a plurality of intrusions extending from the “A” surface towards the “B” surface to form a hardness gradient between at least one of the bolster areas and the central portion of between 5% to 25%, the plurality of intrusions comprising a plurality of pairs of patterns, each pair of patterns comprising a first pattern spaced apart and opposingly and inversely facing a second pattern.

PASSIVE CONFORMAL SEAT WITH HYBRID AIR/LIQUID CELLS
A vehicle seating assembly includes a conformal seating assembly coupled with a rigid shell and includes a seat base, a seatback base, seat side bolsters, and seatback side bolsters. An air-filled sender panel is disposed in the seat base. An air-filled receiver cell is disposed in one of the seat side bolster and the seatback side bolster. A liquid-filled sender panel is disposed between the air-filled receiver cell and the rigid shell. A liquid-filled receiver cell is adjacent the air-filled receiver cell and disposed in one of the seat side bolster and the seatback side bolster. A first distribution rail system is disposed on a first side of the seat base. A second distribution rail system is disposed on a second side of the seat base. A plurality of capillaries provide fluid communication between the sender panels and the receiver cells. A topper pad extends over the conformal seating assembly.
