Convertible vehicle interior
A vehicle passenger compartment that defines a vehicle interior delimited in part by a floor, the interior having at least one front row of seats that includes at least two front seats, and at least one rear row of seats that includes at least two rear seats. The front and rear rows of seats are arranged behind one another in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle passenger compartment, each front seat being rotatable around a rotation axis substantially perpendicular to the floor. Each rear seat is translatable in a transverse direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and to the rotation axis such that the rear seats can be moved away from or closer to one another in the transverse direction.
Controlling vehicle orientation
A computer is programmed to predict, based at least in part on a stored road topology for a predetermined vehicle route, a vehicle body orientation based on lateral, longitudinal, and vertical accelerations predicted for the route. The computer is programmed to, based on the predicted vehicle body orientation, adjust at least one of an orientation of the vehicle body and an orientation of an object in the vehicle as the vehicle traverses the route.
ROTATABLE SEAT CONFIGURATION WITH MULTI-USE TABLE
A vehicle includes a vehicle seating system including at least two seats individually mounted to an outer track. The vehicle seating system may include a display device selectively positionable in one of a horizontal table orientation and a vertical screen orientation. The display device mounted to at least one inner track that is at least partially enclosed by the outer track. The vehicle seating system includes a controller configured to transition the seats and the display device among at least two preconfigured arrangements.
RETROFITTABLE VEHICLE EXTENSION TABLE
A table for use with a vehicle tailgate, including a base member having a top surface and a bottom surface wherein the bottom surface of the base member is operatively arranged to be removably secured to the tailgate of a vehicle; a sliding mechanism having a sliding portion and a guide, wherein the guide is fixedly secured to the top surface of the base member; a center panel having a top surface, a bottom surface, a right edge, and a left edge, wherein the bottom surface of the center panel is fixedly secured to the sliding portion of the sliding mechanism and operatively arranged to allow for translational movement of the center panel relative to the base member; left wing and right wing panels, each having a top surface, a proximal end, and a distal end, wherein the proximal end of the right wing is pivotably secured to the right edge of the center panel such that the top surface of the right wing is substantially parallel to and resting atop the top surface of the center panel when in a closed configuration and is exposed and substantially parallel to the top surface of the center panel when in an open configuration, and wherein the proximal end of the left wing is pivotably secured to the left edge of the center panel such that the top surface of the left wing rests on the top surface of the center panel when in a closed configuration and is exposed and parallel to the top surface of the center panel when in an open configuration; and, a fastener to removably secured the right wing panel and the left wing panel against the top surface of the center panel when in the closed configuration.
Vehicle with individual compartments
The vehicle (1) is provided with a pair of front compartments and a pair of rear compartments that are inclined to a first lateral side toward rear parts thereof. A front part (23B) of the rear compartment (23) on the first lateral side is positioned between rear parts (21B, 22B) of the front compartments (21, 22) while a rear part (22B) of the front compartment (22) on a second lateral side opposite from the first lateral side is positioned between front parts (23B, 24B) of the rear compartments (23, 24).
Set of seats with chairs in a staggered arrangement
A set includes seats, each seat includes a chair and a lateral pedestal arranged laterally on one side of the chair. The chairs and the lateral pedestals are arranged in a staggered configuration in two parallel rows. Each seat has a covering shell determining a rear surface in a rear zone of the chair and determining a front surface in a front zone of the lateral pedestal. A space between a rear surface of a front seat and a front surface of a rear seat forms a passage for an occupant of the rear seat. In a vertical cross section the rear surface and the front surface have convex profiles facing one another, a width of the passage increasing in the direction of decreasing heights from a height of minimum width, and increasing in the direction of increasing heights from the height of minimum width.
PORTABLE MULTIPLE GRILL ASSEMBLY
A portable multiple grill assembly includes a trailer that is towed behind a vehicle. A fire pit is coupled to the trailer for containing an open flame. A plurality of cooking grills is each coupled to the trailer. A table is coupled to and extends outwardly from the plurality of cooking grills. A plurality of chair units is each slidably coupled to the trailer. Each of the chair units is slidable into a deployed position to have a user sit thereon. A venting unit is coupled to the trailer to vent smoke from cooking grills thereby inhibiting the user from being exposed to the smoke. A display is coupled to the trailer and the display is elevated above the fire pit and the cooking grills to be visible to the user when the user is seated on the one of the chair units.
Vehicle furniture system
A vehicle furniture system having an article of furniture and a carriage configured to carry the article of furniture between first and second positions within a body portion of a vehicle when the carriage is coupled to the body portion of the vehicle, the vehicle furniture system comprising a first actuator configured to deploy the article of furniture from the carriage when the carriage is in at least one of the first and second positions.
Storage for seating assembly
A vehicle seating assembly includes a seatback. The seatback includes a rear portion and a substantially horizontal strap including first and second ends fixed to the rear portion. The substantially horizontal strap further includes an intermediate attachment area fixed to the rear portion between the first and second ends.
Retractable table
A retractable table assembly (5) for an automobile has a housing (6) located between the rear seats (2,3). Two tabletops (17a, 17b) are stowed in the housing and deployed on rotatable arms (12a, 12b). The arms are resiliently biased to the deployment position and when stowed, the tabletops are kept in place by push-push latches. A secondary link (16) between the tabletops and the pivot-point of the arms is provided, which maintains the relative disposition of the tabletop in relation to the housing during deployment. The tabletops can be deployed side-by-side so as to provide an expanded surface for working on.
