Adjustable driver's side and passenger's side side-facing sliding seat assemblies. Each side-facing sliding seat assembly is adjustable between an original seat orientation to an extended, sleeping surface configuration wherein the two side-facing sliding seat assemblies converge together, forming a flat sleeping surface. The side-facing sliding seat assemblies may also mate with a lay-flat sofa bed assembly for a larger flat sleeping surface. Each of the side-facing sliding seat assemblies may be powered and adjustable using a motor to transform between their two respective configurations.

At least one embodiment of the inventive technology may be a disassemblable platform system in a pickup truck cab, or other vehicle, such as, but not limited to, a SUV or van that (after installation), comprises: a plurality of panels (generally, 40, as installed) relatively positioned to form a flat, raised rigid platform 41 in a pickup truck cab and that is elevated above lower seat cushions, where such panels include two rear panels 1,2 (i.e., in the rear seat area), a driver area panel 3, a passenger area panel 6, and a console area panel 42 between said driver area panel and said passenger area panel. The system further includes horizontal supports 43 that underlie at least some of said panels, such horizontal supports including at least two right-left horizontal support bars 44 (i.e., a horizontal support bar that is installed in a right-left direction defined by the vehicle); and panel-attached horizontal supports 45, each of which is attached to a panel to which it is dedicated.

The present invention relates to a bunk with adjustable attitude for a vehicle cab. The bunk includes a hinge, bunk frame provided with a mattress support surface, a lock insert, and a plurality indexing holes. The bunk frame is pivotably mounted to the hinge about an axis so that at least one of the pitch or roll of the mattress support surface may be selectively adjusted. The lock insert releasably engages the indexing holes to releasably hold the bunk frame at a plurality of selectable pivot angles about the axis.

Occupant Supporting Device and its Temperature Management System

A temperature management system for an occupant supporting device comprising an air-circulating circuit is provided, the air-circulating circuit comprising: an air distributing device; a main power device for circulating the air in the air-circulating circuit; and a temperature adjusting device for adjusting the temperature of the air in the air-circulating circuit, wherein an airflow, which has been temperature adjusted by the temperature adjusting device, out of the main power device comprises at least a first portion which flows into the air distributing device and a second portion which returns back to the main power device after circulating within the air-circulating circuit, and wherein the airflow which returns back to the main power device will be adjusted by the temperature adjusting device and circulated in the air-circulating circuit again. A seat cushion and a seat backrest comprising the temperature management system, and an occupant supporting device comprising the seat cushion and the seat backrest are also provided. The occupant supporting device can be a seat or a bed.

Securing means are provided for securing the stiff frame to roof bars of a motor vehicle. A plurality of rotatable arms is provided, each of which is hinged in a specific supporting element and is rotatable from a rest position into an operating position, and vice versa. Locking means are provided for locking the rotatable arms in an operating position. A cloth, on which said at least one person can be supported has connecting means by which it is connectable to the rotatable arms. The direction of longitudinal extension of each supporting element is not parallel to the longitudinal axis of the stiff frame and each rotatable arm is made of two portions inclined with respect to each other.

The convertible furniture system includes a lift system, attachment hardware, and a convertible furniture piece. The lift system includes a platform movably coupled to a set of rails and movable along a length of the rails. The convertible furniture piece includes a pair of side support frames each pivotally attached to a base frame to pivot between a countertop configuration and a bed configuration, and a countertop attached to the side support frames. In the countertop configuration, the side support frames extend from the base frame to support the countertop above the base frame. In the bed configuration, the side support frames extend from the base frame to define a planar surface. The attachment hardware permits selective attachment of the convertible furniture piece to the platform when the convertible furniture piece is in the bed configuration.

Various embodiments of a lift are disclosed. In some embodiments, the lift is part of a vehicle and includes a guide rail, a carriage coupled to the guide rail, and a mounting bracket coupled to the carriage where the mounting bracket can move vertically relative to the carriage. In some embodiments, the lift can include an electric motor positioned at the top of the guide rail and the mounting bracket can be offset to the side to allow a vehicle accessory that is coupled to the mounting bracket to clear the electric motor when it is raised. In some embodiments, the lift can include a flexible support line extending upward from a lower anchor point to one side of the bed, across the bed to the opposite side of the bed, and upward from the opposite side of the bed to an upper anchor point.

TILTING A HUMAN SUPPORT SURFACE IN A VEHICLE

Various examples of tilting a human support surface in a vehicle are disclosed. A frame is attached to the surface of the vehicle. The vehicle also includes rotation system mounted between the frame and a vehicle surface. The rotation system can be controlled to tilt a human support surface of the frame towards a direction of acceleration associated with a driving maneuver as the driving maneuver is executed.
