Multi-part vehicle floor cover with lap joint
A multi-part vehicle floor cover has a first part with a lateral edge and a second part with a lateral end that mates with the lateral edge of the first part and has a lap panel that extends from the lateral end to a lateral edge of the second part. A plurality of fastening systems join the first part to the lap panel of the second part. Each fastening system has a button, a first hole made in the first part and a second hole made in the second part. The top surface of the button is sloped, and the lower diameters of the holes are greater than the upper diameters thereof. The lap joint makes the manufacture of large floor covers by injection molding practical, while offering an effective method of assembly by the end user.
Floor Mat with Hidden Base Component
This invention relates to a washable multi-component magnetic floor mat with a hidden base component. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by magnetic attraction. The magnetic attraction is provided by incorporation of magnetic particles in both the textile and base components. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.
MOTOR VEHICLE FLOOR COVERING, BOOT OR TRUNK COVERING OR LOAD COMPARTMENT COVERING HAVING A STRUCTURALLY NEEDLE-PUNCHED CARPET SURFACE
The object of the invention is a method of manufacturing a three-dimensionally shaped floor paneling, luggage compartment paneling or load floor paneling for motor vehicles, the carpet surface of which has a needled structure on the visible side, as well as the panelings themselves.
Hook and Loop Fastener Connector
A hook-and-loop fastener connector having a plurality of hooks (7) arranged on a base plate (16). The hooks (7) exhibit a hook foot (8) and a hook head (9). The hook foot (8) and hook head (9) are arranged within one plane. The plane (10) and the base plate (16) are angled to each other at an angle (β) greater than 90°.
Vehicle lower portion structure
A vehicle lower portion structure is provided with electromagnetic wave emitting components that are disposed at a rear surface side of a floor panel provided in a lower portion of a vehicle, and a carpet component that has a backing layer in which is dispersed a magnetic material, and a carpet pile that is provided on a front surface side of the backing layer, and that is disposed at a front surface side of the floor panel.
ELASTOMER COMPOSITION
An elastomer composition including (a) an elastomer blend component; (b) at least one first odor-reducing component; and (c) at least one second odor-reducing component; the elastomer component (a) including a hydrogenated block copolymer, a propylene polymer, a maleic anhydride grafted polymer, a mineral oil, and a filler, and/or a nucleating agent. The elastomer composition can be particularly suitable for fabricating injection molded non-carpet vehicle flooring with a reduced amount of undesirable odor.
Car Mat Structures
The present invention discloses car mat structures used to set on the floor compartment area in a car to contain water drops or debris fallen or brought into the car. One car mat structure includes a bottom pad with plural sidelines; and plural dams, each being raised from one said sideline, wherein two opposite members of the dams are dual slop walls each being built with two inclined surfaces with different inclined angles. Another car mat structure includes a bottom pad; plural dams raised from the sidelines of the bottom pad; and plural triangle shutters formed to cover bottom corners each formed by two adjacent dams and the bottom pad. A third car mat structure includes a bottom pad; plural dams raised from the sidelines of the bottom pad, wherein two opposite members of the dams each being built with two inclined surfaces with different inclined angles; and plural triangle shutters. With the implementation of the new design dams and triangle shutters of the present invention, molding is easier when forming and producing mat structures; cleaning becomes easier since no hidden corners existing on the mat structures; and deformation or collapsing of mat structures being effectively prevented. When further build an inclined cover pad to cover the junction area between a dam and the bottom pad, molding for production and cleaning the mats become even more convenient and efficient.
CLIP FOR ATTACHMENT OF FLOOR CARPET
A clip for attachment of a floor carpet includes a male member having a lower flange portion, and a shaft portion projecting from the lower flange portion; and a female member having a cylindrical portion to which the shaft portion is inserted, an upper flange portion projecting around an outer periphery of the cylindrical portion, and an engaging portion at an inner periphery of the cylindrical portion. The male member also includes a hole portion penetrating through the lower flange portion and the cylindrical portion, engaging projections formed around an outer periphery of the shaft portion, and a regulation member inserted into the hole portion. In case the male member is inserted into the female member to engage the engaging projections with the engaging portion and the regulation member is inserted into the hole portion, the regulation member prevents the engaging projections from being disengaged from the engaging portion.
FLOOR MAT FOR A VEHICLE
A floor mat for a vehicle includes a first panel, a second panel pivotably coupled to the first panel, and an actuator operably coupled to and positioned beneath the first panel. The actuator is operable to move the first panel in a vehicle-forward direction from a first position to a second position. Movement of the first panel toward the second position causes the second panel to pivot relative to the first panel from a lowered position to a raised position. In the lowered position of the second panel, the vehicle-uppermost portion of the second panel is positioned at a first vehicle-elevation. In the raised position of the second panel, the vehicle-uppermost portion of the second panel is positioned at a second vehicle-elevation that is greater than the first vehicle-elevation.
