SECOND ROW PRIORITY SEATING FOR VEHICLES
Aspects of the disclosure relate to vehicles capable of autonomous driving. These vehicles may include seats for accommodating different numbers of passengers. In some cases, the seats may be reconfigurable. For instance, a vehicle may include a first row of seating having a first, passenger use configuration. The first row may allow a passenger to sit in a seat of the first row of seating and access user input controls for the vehicle. The first row of seating may also have a second, folded configuration where the first row is in a folded configuration and no longer usable for passenger seating. The vehicle may also have a second row of seating. When the first row of seating is in the second, folded configuration, the second row of seating may still be usable for seating and may include additional legroom for the passenger as compared to when the first row of seating is in the first passenger use configuration.
FOLDABLE PEDAL APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
A foldable pedal apparatus for a vehicle, turns into a pop-up state in which a pedal pad protrudes to the interior of the vehicle to be exposed toward a driver in the manual driving mode in which the driver is actively engaged in driving and a hide state in which the pedal pad is pushed behind a center fascia panel so that exposure toward the driver is blocked in the autonomous driving mode in which the driver is not actively engaged in driving, wherein a pressure-operated or liner motion signal generating portion generates a signal relating to a pedal function during manipulation of the pedal pad.
Occupant posture adjustment device and pedal device
An occupant posture adjustment device and a pedal device include a pedal adjustment mechanism that changes the inclination of a pedal with respect to a floor panel between a first driving state and a second driving state, and a controller that, in the first driving state, controls the pedal adjustment mechanism such that a back face of the pedal and the floor panel are separated from each other, and in the second driving state, controls the pedal adjustment mechanism such that the back face of the pedal and the floor panel come into contact with each other.
Adjustable footrest assembly
Footrest assembly for a passenger seat having a saddle (22) and a post (16) pivotally coupled to a fastener (38) connected to the saddle. A ratcheting mechanism (86) with at least one tooth (88) is positioned on a first end (20) of the post and a pawl (90) is pivotally coupled to a pawl shaft (98) fixedly coupled to the saddle. A cam follower (96) is pivotally coupled to the fastener and positioned within a slot (106) formed in the end of the post in order to prevent the pawl from engaging with a tooth while pivoting in a direction of a fully deployed position of the assembly.
Footrest incorporating means for storing tyre repair equipment
A footrest to be installed between a bulkhead and a floor of a motor vehicle includes a bearing wall to support the foot or feet of a passenger and a sound insulation mat extending opposite at least part of the bearing wall and attached to the floor. The mat includes an insulating layer between the floor and a covering layer attached to the insulating layer. The bearing wall includes a storage compartment and an internal face positioned facing an exterior face of the covering layer at installation of the foot rest. The storage compartment extends between the internal face of the bearing face and the exterior face of the covering layer. The storage compartment has a bottom wall fixed permanently to the internal face of the bearing wall by first, and second connecting members and includes housings the content of which is directly accessible without removing the storage compartment.

FOOT MASSAGE ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLE
A foot massage assembly for a vehicle, may simultaneously provide a foot massage and a heating function and may include a plate mounted on a seatback for a vehicle, a bladder unit spaced from the plate at an interval and provided with a plurality of bladder cells, wherein air is supplied to or exhausted from an inside of the bladder cells for pressurizing passenger's soles, and a heat wire mat positioned to cover the bladder unit and provided with a heat wire.
SEAMLESS SEAT CUSHION EXTENSION ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
An extendable seat base for a seat of a vehicle is disclosed. The seat base includes an outer cushion, a cord, and a motor. The outer cushion forms a top of the seat base and extends, in one unitarily formed piece, down a front of the seat base and back underneath or within the seat base, such that excess material of the outer cushion is positioned underneath or within the seat base. The cord is connected to an end of the outer cushion at the excess material. The motor is adapted to pull the excess material underneath or within the seat base while the seat base is in a retracted position and to release the excess material while the seat base is in an extended position. At least a portion of the excess material is used to form part of an extended seat for a vehicle occupant while the seat base is in the extended position.
INFLATABLE CUSHION DISPOSED BETWEEN FRONT AND REAR SEATS OF A VEHICLE
A vehicle includes a floor, a rear seat, and a front seat rotatable relative to the rear seat from a first position facing the rear seat to a second position facing away from the rear seat. An inflatable cushion is supported by the floor and is disposed between the front seat and the rear seat. A pressure control device is in communication with the inflatable cushion. The inflatable cushion may be used by an occupant of the vehicle as a footrest and/or a bed.
SMART LUGGAGE SYSTEMS
Smart luggage systems are disclosed. A smart luggage system includes a luggage bag including one or more wheels, one or more processors, one or more memory modules, one or more wheel actuators, one or more GPS units, and machine readable instructions stored in the one or more memory modules. When executed by the one or more processors, the machine readable instructions cause the smart luggage system to determine a location of a user, determine a location of the luggage bag based on an output signal from the one or more GPS units, and actuate the one or more wheel actuators to move the luggage bag based on the location of the user and the location of the luggage bag.
