A system for disposing waste in a transportation system includes a collection device for collecting waste in the cabin of the transportation system, a separate receptacle device for receiving collected waste from the collection device, and a connection device for selectively connecting the collection device to the receptacle device in order to deliver collected waste from the collection device into the receptacle device. The receptacle device is arranged in a lower deck region underneath the cabin floor. The connection device extends into the receptacle device from the cabin floor and includes a closure that is arranged on or in the cabin floor. The collection device is mechanically couplable to the connection device, and includes a closable output opening aligned with the closure of the connection device in the coupled state. The closure and/or the output opening can only be opened when the collection device is coupled to the receptacle device.

SEAT CONSOLE ASSEMBLY

A seat assembly is provided with a seatback having a forward surface to support an upper body of an occupant and an upper console portion formed on a rear surface of the seatback. The seatback pivots at a seatback pivot axis to a use position where the seatback extends generally horizontal. A bottom cushion has an upward surface to support a lower body of the occupant. The cushion pivots at a cushion pivot axis to an access position to access a lower console formed along an interior surface of the seat bottom cushion.

SEAT CONSOLE ASSEMBLY

A seat assembly is provided with a seatback having a forward surface to support an upper body of an occupant and an upper console portion formed on a rear surface of the seatback. The seatback pivots at a seatback pivot axis to a use position where the seatback extends generally horizontal. A bottom cushion has an upward surface to support a lower body of the occupant. The cushion pivots at a cushion pivot axis to an access position to access a lower console formed along an interior surface of the seat bottom cushion.

ARM REST TRASH COMPARTMENT

The present application relates to an arm rest trash compartment. An arm rest assembly includes an arm rest body having an A-surface with a trash cavity defined therethrough; and a trash compartment corresponding to the trash cavity. The trash compartment includes a movable member releasably secured at the A-surface, and a flexible member which forms the trash cavity. The trash compartment has a stored position and an extended position, where, in the stored position, the movable member is flush with the A-surface, and in the extended position, at least a portion of the flexible member is positioned below the A-surface such that a trash cavity volume in the extended position is greater than a trash cavity volume in the stored position.

ARM REST TRASH COMPARTMENT

The present application relates to an arm rest trash compartment. An arm rest assembly includes an arm rest body having an A-surface with a trash cavity defined therethrough; and a trash compartment corresponding to the trash cavity. The trash compartment includes a movable member releasably secured at the A-surface, and a flexible member which forms the trash cavity. The trash compartment has a stored position and an extended position, where, in the stored position, the movable member is flush with the A-surface, and in the extended position, at least a portion of the flexible member is positioned below the A-surface such that a trash cavity volume in the extended position is greater than a trash cavity volume in the stored position.

Cupholder assembly

A cupholder assembly for storing waste in a vehicle. The cupholder assembly includes a cup compartment having a cup supporting surface configured to support a cup stored in the cup compartment. The cup supporting surface includes an opening area which provides access to a storage compartment for waste. The storage compartment is slidably stowable beneath the cup compartment. The storage compartment can include a waste bag attachment mechanism for convenient storage and removal of waste. The cupholder assembly may be integrated with a vehicle center console.

A shaped elongate strap enables a plastic grocery bag to be used for trash disposal in a vehicle. It has a shaped headrest post-gripping top portion at one end and forward and rearward grocery bag handle grips at the other end. The ends are connected by a flexible corrugated strip. The orientation of the corrugations and the spacing of the grips keep the strap from twisting and the grips forward of the back of the seat.

Restraint cooperating elements such as protrusions or recesses of an accessory are configured to cooperate with laterally spaced accessory motion restraints such as recesses or protrusions of the channel element to inhibit lateral movement and rotation of an accessory body. An accessory including laterally spaced restraint cooperating elements and a pivotally mounted spring-biased clasp, as well as an attachment method, are further provided.
