IMAGE-BASED POSITION DETECTION METHOD, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM

The present invention provides an image-based position detection method, an electronic device, and a readable storage medium. The method includes: driving a capsule endoscope to continuously capture a group of images at an interval of a first preset time t1, where each group of images comprises at least one image; obtaining at least one image from each group of images, and calculating a determination index according to grayscale values of at least two channels of the image; determining whether the capsule endoscope reaches a preset detection position according to a value of the determination index; if yes, adjusting the capsule endoscope to a corresponding working mode according to a current position of the capsule endoscope, and if no, continue monitoring. The present invention can determine whether the capsule endoscope reaches the preset detection position, which greatly save battery power, and improve work efficiency of the capsule endoscope.

Cannula with proximally mounted camera and transparent obturator

A cannula system and method for accessing a blood mass in the brain. The system comprises a cannula with a camera mounted on the proximal end of the cannula with a view into the cannula lumen and the surgical field below the lumen. A prism, reflector or other suitable optical element is oriented between the camera and the lumen of the cannula to afford the camera a view into the cannula while minimizing obstruction of the lumen. The system may also include an obturator with a small diameter shaft and a large diameter tip which is optically transmissive, so that a surgeon inserting or manipulating the assembly can easily see that the obturator tip is near brain tissue (which is white) or blood (which is red).

DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR HOLDING MEDICAL DEVICES

A medical clip for holding a medical device. The medical clip includes a first jaw and a second jaw rotatably coupled to the first jaw, the first jaw and the second jaw being rotatable with respect to each other between a closed position and an open position; an elastomeric insert configured to be positioned between the first jaw and the second jaw. The elastomeric insert defining a proximal cavity having a cavity depth that is receives a medical device between the first jaw and the second jaw. In the closed position, a distal face of the first jaw and the second jaw define a distal opening configured to receive a portion of the medical device through the distal opening; and, a proximal face of the first jaw and the second jaw define a proximal opening configured to receive a second portion of the medical device through the proximal opening.

Mask For Use In Endoscopic Procedures
20210338363 · 2021-11-04 ·

There is provided a mask for use in endoscopic procedures that includes a unitary concave and bowl-shaped body portion having an inner surface and an outer surface with the body having a first opening for receiving an instrument, where the first opening in the body is defined by an edge, and the outer surface radially extends from the edge with a unitary curved wall having a peak and extending from the peak to a rim. The rim defines a second opening that is wider than the first opening and having a diameter of sufficient width to cover a patient's nose and open mouth. The mask has at least one filter positioned on the body portion to permit air to pass through the body portion, and a seal is positioned around or over the first opening to secure the instrument hermetically when received through the first opening. The filter is of a size to prevent known viruses and microbials, including coronavirus, from transmitting into the air external to the mask.

CONTROL DEVICE FOR A STEERABLE MEDICAL DEVICE

A control device for use with a steerable medical device comprises a steering shaft rotatable about a longitudinal axis thereof, a first steering cam is affixed to the steering shaft to rotate in unison therewith. A second steering cam is mounted on the steering shaft and freely rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the steering shaft independent of the steering shaft. A latch assembly is operatively connected to the first steering cam and the second steering cam and operable in an inactive configuration in which the first and second steering cams are positioned to maintain first and second steering wires in an un-tensioned or reduced tension state, and further operable in an active configuration in which the first and second steering cams are positioned to maintain the first and second steering wires in a tensioned state. A rotary knob assembly is also disclosed.

BRONCHOSCOPY STAND

A bronchoscopy stand usable for holding and supporting a bronchoscope is provided. The bronchoscopy stand includes a base plate and a first tower extending vertically from a first edge of the base plate. A second tower extends vertically from the same edge of the base plate as the first tower. The first tower and the second tower are substantially parallel. A first receptacle groove is formed at an opposite end of the first tower from the base plate and a second receptacle groove is formed at an opposite end of the second tower from the base plate. A method for supporting a bronchoscope on scope stand is also provided.

Internal seal for biopsy cap

Biopsy caps and seals, and methods for making and using the same may be provided in conjunction with an endoscope assembly. A seal may include a main body including a circumferential outer wall surrounding a central lumen. The seal may include at least one support wall extending radially from the outer wall towards a center of the lumen, and at least one helical flap extending from the support wall helically downward along an inner surface of the outer wall, where the at least one helical flap defines an opening at the center of the lumen. The seal may alternatively include a plurality of projections extending radially inward from the outer wall towards a center of the lumen, where the plurality of projections are arranged in a series of circumferentially and angularly offset layers.
