HINGE MECHANISM, VEHICLE SEAT COMPRISING SUCH A MECHANISM, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD
20200031252 · 2020-01-30 ·

A hinge mechanism having first and second hinge flanges, a control device controlling the relative rotation of the first and second hinge flanges, a closure ring integrally secured to the second hinge flange and retaining the first flange against the second flange, and an external frame integrally secured to the second flange. The second hinge flange is integrally secured to both the external frame and the retaining ring by the same weld.

Reduced-impact-and-recoil headrest
10538186 · 2020-01-21 ·

A reduced-impact-and-recoil headrest that includes a ratchet mechanism, allowing components to incrementally translate with respect to each other. The reduced-impact-and-recoil headrest includes an exterior housing surface that is deformable, providing cushioning for a vehicle occupant's head. The headrest also includes an interior compartment within the housing, with the ratchet mechanism disposed within the interior compartment. The headrest is configured to decrease the force of a collision experienced by the occupant, thereby decreasing the likelihood and severity of traumatic brain injuries resulting from the occupant's head striking a stationary headrest. Instead, the reduced-impact-and-recoil headrest is configured to incrementally move with the occupant's head, providing an incremental cushion for the occupant's head. The ratchet mechanism also prevents the reduced-impact-and-recoil headrest from automatically translating back to its pre-impact position, thereby decreasing the occupant's risk of ligament tear and whiplash.

Conveyance seat
10524578 · 2020-01-07 · ·

A conveyance seat for reducing the degree of rattling includes a link group for switching a state of an ottoman, an advancing/retreating member for moving straight while advancing/retreating for moving each link, and a tip end receiver attached to a tip end portion of the advancing/retreating member and for receiving drive force of the advancing/retreating member to transmit the drive force to the link group, which includes a sub-link assembled to one of two crosslinks via a rivet and for swinging by the transmitted drive force. In a case where a first trajectory upon rotation of a fixing portion of the tip end portion of the advancing/retreating member about the point of support in rotation and a second trajectory upon rotation of a portion of the sub-link about the rivet are projected onto a virtual plane perpendicular to an axial direction of the rivet, both trajectories cross each other.

Linear motion assemblies and bearings for use in linear motion assemblies

A seat track assembly including a first rail and a second rail spaced apart by a distance and extending parallel with respect to one another, wherein at least one of the first and second rails having a first receiver, a second receiver, the first and second receivers longitudinally translatable with respect to each other, and a sliding member disposed therebetween, wherein the sliding member defines an aperture extending at least partially therethrough.

Stepless brake device of vehicle seat
11938847 · 2024-03-26 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a stepless brake device of a vehicle seat. The coupling piece formed on the plate cover disposed on the outermost rear surface is caulked and coupled to the housing cover disposed on the outermost front side. Therefore, the components are firmly coupled, and no axial gap occurs between the components. Also, tolerance accumulation of the components does not occur, so that the tilt of the roller is reduced, and thus, collision noise of the roller during the release operation is prevented.

Vehicle Seat With a Headrest
20240083316 · 2024-03-14 ·

A vehicle seat has a seat base element, a seat back and a headrest that has a headrest mount connected or connectable to the seat back. The headrest mount is connected to an inner headrest structure. At least one mechanical or electromechanical active element is located in the headrest. The active element is fastened to the headrest structure or to the headrest mount by way of at least one elastic mounting element.

Sleeve for headrest
11926250 · 2024-03-12 · ·

A sleeve device for a headrest, the device including a sleeve body for insertion into a vehicle seat, the sleeve body including a tubular wall describing an inner axial passage and a rod-engaging portion which is deformable inwardly relative to the tubular wall, the rod-engaging portion including a flexible pad on its external side, wherein the pad is configured to be urged, in use, to force the engaging portion into the axial passage and/or against a rod received within the axial passage.

Suspension seat

A suspension seat, including: a lower side member that forms a vehicle lower side of a suspension; an upper side member that forms a vehicle upper side of the suspension, and that is configured to support a vehicle seat body from the vehicle lower side; a suspension link mechanism that includes a vehicle lower side portion coupled to the lower side member and a vehicle upper side portion coupled to the upper side member, and that undergoes displacement so as to displace the upper side member along a vehicle vertical direction; a linear displacement section that is provided at the suspension link mechanism and is configured to undergo linear displacement in conjunction with displacement of the suspension link mechanism; and a locking mechanism that immobilizes the linear displacement section so as to immobilize displacement of the suspension link mechanism.

MOTOR VEHICLE LATCH, IN PARTICULAR MOTOR VEHICLE BACKREST LATCH
20240059197 · 2024-02-22 ·

A motor vehicle latch, in particular a motor vehicle backrest latch, which is equipped with a locking mechanism consisting substantially of a catch and a pawl. A latch housing having a recess is also implemented. In addition, a damping means at the end side of the recess, a latch holder entering the recess in the direction of entry transferring the locking mechanism to its closed position, thereby moving against the damping means. In addition, the damping means has a plurality of recesses and at least one web. According to the invention, the web is designed as an arched web and its highest arch is convexly curved against the direction of entry of the latch holder.

Translation assembly for a vehicle

A translation assembly for a vehicle includes a rail assembly that defines a first channel, a second channel, and a central member that extends between the first and second channels. A carriage assembly couples to the rail assembly. The carriage assembly is movable relative to the rail assembly. The carriage assembly includes a first rail engagement structure that extends into the rail assembly and is received within the first channel; a second rail engagement structure that extends into the rail assembly and is received within the second channel; and a carriage housing that is coupled to the first and second rail engagement structures. The carriage housing extends between the first and second rail engagement structures. The carriages assembly also includes one or more drive assemblies that engage with a top surface of the central member of the rail assembly.
