Seatback-folding device for emergency escape for vehicles

A seatback-folding device for emergency escape for vehicles is equipped with a simply structured mechanism for emergency escape. A locking operation at the time of unfolding of a seatback of a second-row seat and an unlocking operation at the time of folding of the seatback of the second-row seat are performed by ascending/descending of a shaft caused by operation of a lever, thereby not only enabling an occupant sitting on a third-row seat to quickly fold the seatback of the second-row seat and thus to easily secure an emergency escape route, but also reducing the number of components, weight, the number of assembly processes, and manufacturing cost compared to a related art.

A mechanism for reclining the seat back of a seat. The seat back is pivotally connected to the seat base is by a locking fixture that selectively locks and releases the seat back from the seat base. A return spring biases the seat back in the upright position and a handle in the area of the pivot point allows the operator/occupant to selectively control whether the seat back is locked or released. The return spring is mounted on an outside of the seat back and seat base, and is in the form of a coil spring. A stop element connects the handle to the locking fixture. The stop element is arranged radially inward of the coil spring. The stop element preferably has a large diameter portion with lugs interacting with the locking fixture, and has a smaller diameter portion arranged radially inward of the coil spring.

CONVEYANCE SEAT

A conveyance seat capable of ensuring the rigidity of a reclining device and suppressing manufacturing cost includes a reclining device that rotatably connects a seat back to a seat cushion. The reclining device includes rotating shafts disposed on right and left sides in a seat width direction and serving as a rotation center of the seat back, and a connecting member having a plate shape, extending the seat width direction, and connecting the right and left rotating shafts. The connecting member includes a connecting body portion extending long in the seat width direction, and shaft attachment portions provided at extending end portions of the connecting body portion and used for attaching the rotating shafts. The shaft attachment portions have an open cross-sectional shape in which opening portions are formed on upper sides of the shaft attachment portions, and support extending portions of the rotating shafts.

The invention relates to a motor vehicle seat (1) having a seat cushion frame (3) which has seat cushion frame side members (5) and is supported by a four-element linkage with front and rear coupling linkages (9) at a height H relative to a floor, and with a backrest frame (4) which has backrest frame side members (6). A change in the height H of the seat cushion frame (3) is possible via a seat height adjustment device. By means of a backrest inclination adjustment device (17), a change in the inclination of the backrest frame (4) can be effected. A connecting tube (25) connects the two seat cushion frame side members (5) to one another. The connecting tube (25) is also connected to the rear coupling linkages (9). The adjustment axis runs through the cross-section of the connecting tube (25).

An inertial latch includes a swash plate, a swing arm. The swing arm can have a first end and a second end, the first end being configured to pivot on the swash plate so that the swing arm moves between a first position and a second position, and the second end comprising a plurality of teeth. The inertial latch can further include a spring that can connect the swash plate and the swing arm. The spring is configured to apply a force on the swing arm to bias the swing arm in a direction towards the first position. The inertial latch can also include a ratchet ring comprising a plurality of teeth configured to be engaged by the plurality of teeth of the swing arm when the swing arm pivots to the second position due to a high acceleration event.

BACK FRAME

A back frame of a vehicle seat includes: first and second side frames respectively arranged on one end side and the other end side in seat-width directions; a first coupling member extending in the seat-width directions and coupling upper end portions of the first and second side frames; a recliner fixed to a lower end portion of the first side frame; and a second coupling member extending in the seat-width directions and coupling the lower end portions of the first and second side frames. The second coupling member is joined to the first side frame at a front joined area and a rear joined area, and the front joined area is positioned at a location corresponding to a joined area between the recliner and the first side frame.

Vehicle Seat Recliner Assembly Having Cross Rod And Hub

A vehicle seat recliner assembly includes a first recliner heart assembly including a first hub mounted to a first bracket, a second recliner heart assembly including a second hub mounted to a second bracket, and a cross member extending between the first recliner heart assembly and the second recliner heart assembly. The cross member includes a first end section engaged with the first hub and a second end section engaged with the second hub. The second end section includes a groove that is captured by the second hub to prevent inadvertent removal of the cross member from the vehicle seat recliner assembly.
