SYSTEM FOR DETECTING DEFORMATION OF CUSHION PAD AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

The present invention provides a cushion pad with improved durability without feeling of a foreign object.

The present invention thus provides a system for detecting a deformation of a cushion pad, comprising; the cushion pad comprising a matrix layer, in which electroconductive or magnetic filler is dispersed, and a soft polyurethane foam including the matrix layer incorporated therein, and a detecting portion that detects an electric or magnetic change caused by a deformation of the cushion pad, wherein the matrix layer has a hardness lower than the soft polyurethane, and it production method.

A car seat occupant detection system for a car seat installed in a vehicle is provided. The system includes at least one harness sensor for detecting whether connectors of a car seat harness are connected and a weight sensor for detecting the weight of an occupant in the car seat. The system includes a controller in communication with the at least one harness sensor and the weight sensor. The system includes a transceiver configured to selectively communicate with a driver device via a local wireless link and with a third party device via a wide area wireless link. The controller determines whether or not an occupant in the car seat has been abandoned by a driver based on detections of the at least one harness sensor, the weight sensor, and communication range status between the transceiver and the driver communication device via the local wireless link.

VEHICLE SEAT

A vehicle seat includes a seat bottom adapted to slide along a floor, a seat back coupled to the seat bottom, and powered means for rearranging the vehicle seat by sliding the seat bottom along the floor and/or pivoting the seat back relative to the seat bottom.

A method for generating a signal representing an occupation of a vehicle seat of a vehicle including the steps: detecting a signal of a sensor system for detecting a dynamic parameter with respect to the vehicle seat; evaluating the signal, in particular, a progression of the signal; generating a seat occupancy signal as a function of the evaluation of the signal, the seat occupancy signal being suited for indicating whether the vehicle seat is occupied by a person or by an object.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING OUTPUT SIGNALS ON THE BASIS OF SENSORS PROVIDED IN AN OBJECT FOR SITTING OR LYING ON

An apparatus includes an object for sitting or lying on, a plurality of sensors arranged within the object for sitting or lying on, and a signal processing unit connected to the sensors. The signal processing unit is provided to generate, on the basis of the sensor signals, an output signal which describes a posture and/or a movement of a person using the object for sitting or lying on. The generated output signal indicates a center of gravity of the person and/or a physiological process occurring in the person.

Method, device and system for detecting the presence of an unattended child left in a vehicle

A method for detecting the presence of an unattended child left in a vehicle includes receiving acoustic data obtained from inside a vehicle, determining if the vehicle is running or not in response to the acoustic data, determining if all windows in the vehicle are closed when the vehicle is not running, determining if sound volume inside the vehicle exceeds a predetermined threshold when all of the windows are closed, determining if a predetermined high-frequency word is spoken inside the vehicle when all of the windows are closed, and outputting an alert indicating that an unattended child is left in the vehicle when the sound volume inside the vehicle exceeds the predetermined threshold and when the predetermined high-frequency word is spoken inside the vehicle.

Motor vehicle with seat unlocking system

A motor vehicle with a seat unlocking system includes a seat with a seat part and a back part secured to a body at an attachment, an airbag, and an actuator for releasing the attachment of the seat to the body. Following activation of the actuator, the attachment between the seat and the body is disconnected such that the seat is moveable relative to the body. A control unit is configured to activate the actuator following an accident exclusively in the case of an opened airbag and exclusively with the motor vehicle at a standstill.

WIRELESS SWITCHES USING HUMAN BODY AS A CONDUCTOR

Arrangement for controlling a component having multiple states includes a device that generates a signal at a frequency that enables it to be conducted through a human body, and a conductive surface coupled to the device, situated in a position accessible by a part of the human, and which enables proximity or contact of the part of the human to the conductive surface to develop a reactive coupling between the human and the conductive surface. The component has multiple, different states and is controlled by the human to change from a first state to a second state upon completion of an electrical circuit including the component, the conductive surface and the device upon developing reactive coupling between the human and the conductive surface when the device is generating the signal conducted through the human. The component may be a vehicular component such as a door or window.

TWO-AXIS SEAT HINGE

A movable seat for a motor vehicle includes a base fixedly attached to a frame of the motor vehicle, a seat frame having a top side and a bottom side, and a seat cushion fixedly attached to the top side of the seat frame. A U-shaped hinge connects the seat frame to the base, a first end of the first U-shaped hinge being rotatably attached to the base and rotating about a first lateral axis, and a second end of the U-shaped hinge being rotatably attached to the seat frame and rotating about a second lateral axis. A wire that connects a first electrical appliance in the seat cushion to a second electrical appliance is included that is attached to the U-shaped hinge from the first end to the second end.

HUMAN PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS USING WAVE OF ELECTRICAL STIMULI

A human body support, such as a chair, has a plurality of electrodes arranged in an array and spaced longitudinally with respect to the human body. The array extends from an inferior position to a more superior position along the body. A sensor measures a parameter of the human body that is capable of indicating the presence of drowsiness. A controller has an input connected to the sensor for receiving a signal representing the sensed parameter and has outputs connected to each of the electrodes. The controller detects whether the sensed parameter is within a range indicating the presence of drowsiness and applies a wave of electrical stimuli against the human body in response to detection of a sensed parameter within the range. The electrical stimuli cause periodic tightening and relaxing of proximate muscles as the wave progresses in a direction from an inferior location on the human body toward a more superior location.
