Systems and methods for adapting various autonomous vehicle settings to protect personal information based on the composition of passengers in a vehicle. In particular, sensitive user information is intelligently parsed out or generalized based on user preference and the presence of unknown passengers. In some examples, sensitive user information is routed to more secure channels such as a mobile device application or a personalized display. In some implementations, the position of passengers within a vehicle is determined to identify which displays are in each passenger's field of view. Additionally, pick-up and drop-off locations can be scrambled to nearby destinations to obscure a home address, work address, or other identifiable address information.

In-seat experience system

An in-seat experience system includes: a seat which includes a seat body, a sensor, and a seat controller allowed to acquire a measurement value from the sensor; an experience instruction device connected to the seat controller, configured to notify an occupant seated on the seat body a motion instruction and to store user identification information; and a server capable of communicating with the experience instruction device. The experience instruction device makes a determination based upon a measurement value of the sensor as to whether or not a first condition is satisfied, and to transmit a result of the determination to the server when at least the first condition is satisfied, and the server is allowed to increase a point score stored for the corresponding user identification information with a condition that the result of the determination that the first condition is satisfied is received from the experience instruction device.

The seat system includes: a seat which includes a seat body, and a sensor provided in the seat body and configured to acquire information for use in identifying a physical state of an occupant seated on the seat body; a server having pieces of advertising information stored therein; and a terminal capable of acquiring the information from the sensor and communicating with the server. The terminal or the server is configured to choose, based on the information or an evaluation value based on the information, a piece of advertising information related to the information or the evaluation value from among the pieces of advertising information, and notify the occupant of the piece of advertising information.

System and method for deciphering and mapping signals from an electronic control unit for use in occupant safety

A system and method for deciphering signals and messages from a control unit, and mapping those signals to the associated sensors to create a map of the sensor status. The map of the sensor status is then used in conjunction with a dongle and software application to interface with the control unit, able to receive messages from the control unit to monitor the status of the sensors, and to send messages to the control unit to manipulate the sensors. The system and method can further be used to interface with the electronic control unit of a vehicle to detect unattended access of the vehicle and ensure no passengers are left abandoned in the vehicle, such as by sending alerts to a mobile device of the user, triggering alarms in the vehicle, or sending alerts to emergency services.

A child safety device and system is disclosed that alerts one or more authorized users when a caregiver walks away from a child in a car seat or similar location, when leaving a child alone is dangerous or otherwise undesirable, such as in a hot car. Detailed logging enables a review of all times that the caregiver was detected as moving too far from the child in a monitored location. The device includes at least one pressure sensor to detect the presence of a child in a location, a Bluetooth Low Energy beacon to provide a signal when energized, and a battery electrically connected to both the Bluetooth Low Energy beacon and the at least one pressure sensor, the Bluetooth Low Energy beacon being energized when pressure is applied to the pressure sensor, and the Bluetooth Low Energy beacon being deactivated when no pressure is applied to the pressure sensor.

A system and method for child car seat safety detection and notification are disclosed. A particular embodiment is configured to: provide at least one sensor to measure a condition present in an environment in which a child is restrained in a child car seat in a vehicle; determine, based on sensor data from the sensor, if the condition requires a notification to be sent to a user; generate a notification message including at least a portion of the sensor data and information indicative of a location of the child car seat; send the notification message to a mobile device application; and send the notification message to a vehicle subsystem application.
