VEHICLE CLEANING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A vehicle cleaning system includes a vehicle having a substantially flat cabin floor from which a plurality of seats of the vehicle extend, and a robotic cleaning device. The robotic cleaning device includes wheels configured to propel the cleaning device along the cabin floor and selectively clean the cabin floor.
Locking harness
A retainer apparatus including a first retainer portion, a second retainer portion, a transceiver, and a sensor comprising a motion detector. The retainer apparatus includes the first retainer portion configured to be slidably attached to a first harness strap and a second retainer portion configured to be slidably attached to a second harness strap. The first retainer portion is removably attached to the second retainer portion. The motion detector is configured to detect movement of the retainer apparatus and transmit a warning signal, via the transceiver, to a controller within a vehicle comprising the retainer apparatus to alert a user in the vehicle if the movement is detected.
Integrated safety seat
An integrated safety seat permanently built into a vehicle. The safety seat may be united with other seats or separated from other seats, or other integrated safety seats. The integrated safety seat is configured to accommodate an occupant from newborn to adulthood in a seat bottom, as well as in a back, whereby the seat bottom, back and a cradle in between may incline upward and downward by an internal mechanism, to a plurality of angles, ranging from rear facing to forward facing. The integrated safety seat includes a headrest and footrests support in the forward facing position, which serve as a footrest and headrest support, respectively in the rear facing position. The integrated safety seat includes harnesses and lap-belts with hasps, armrests, and headrests, footrests, inserts, within that elevate. The safety seat further includes integrated safety controls that operate regardless of whether the vehicle is in operation.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VEHICLE SEAT OCCUPANCY DETECTION
Method and apparatus are disclosed for determining vehicle seat occupancy. An example vehicle includes a vehicle seat, an accelerometer coupled to the vehicle seat, and a restraint control module. The restraint control module is configured to determine a minute of arc measurement for the vehicle seat based on data received from the accelerometer, determine that the vehicle seat is occupied based on the minute of arc measurement, and provide an alert.
Technology and methods of on-board vehicle occupant accurate weighing by a simplified weighing apparatus based on weighing moderator and its applications in on-board occupant weighing systems
An on-board vehicle occupant weighing technology includes a simplified vehicle occupant weighing apparatus based on the discovered horwest effect and weighing moderator. The simplified weighing apparatus utilizes a weighing unit connected to the car seat of the vehicle occupant and a further weighing moderator, which provides convenient weighing of the foot part of the occupant's body by the same weighing unit that is connected to the car seat. The technology employs several methods of the weight measurements provided by different moderator approaches. The technology, methods, and simplified weighing apparatus are employed in on-board vehicle overweight and obesity preventing system wherein a weight trend analyzer provides predicting possibility of the occupant's overweight or obesity in a short predetermined period of time and automatically warning a vehicle occupant and a health care provider of the condition. The technology may also provide an accurate and convenient occupant's weight measurement in the vehicle safety devices such as seat belt and air bag Supplemental Restraint System (SRS system) to improve the Occupant Classification System to prevent possible extra force applied to the occupant's body in case of collision.
Child car seat safety system
The child car seat safety alarm is an alarm system. The child car seat safety alarm is configured for use with a child safety seat and a driver's seat. The child car seat safety alarm is configured to detect the weight of a first individual in the driver's seat. The child car seat safety alarm is configured to detect the weight of a second individual in the child safety seat. If the child car seat safety alarm detects the weight of the second individual in the child safety seat but does not detect the weight of the first individual, the child car seat safety alarm initiates a plurality audio and visual alarms to indicate that the second individual remains in the child safety seat. The child car seat safety alarm comprises a beacon module and a child safety seat module.
Vehicle detection system
A vehicle detection system includes an RFID reader, a detection device, and an ECU. The RFID reader transmits a transmission signal including at least a signal that supplies power. The detection device includes a second antenna unit that mutually transmits and receives a signal to and from the RFID reader, an RFID detection circuit that is activated using the signal that supplies power included in the transmission signal received by the second antenna unit as driving power and that outputs a detection signal to the second antenna unit, and a switch circuit that switches an electrical connection portion between the second antenna unit and the RFID detection circuit to a contact state or to a non-contact state according to a state inside the vehicle. The ECU determines the state inside the vehicle on the basis of the detection signal received by the RFID reader.
Acoustic output through headrest wings
The technology described in this document can be embodied in a headrest of a seat, the headrest including an enclosure for housing one or more acoustic transducers, and an adjustable headrest wing disposed in front of the enclosure. The headrest wing is coupled to the enclosure by a pivot, and configured to be adjusted to one of multiple positions within an angle range around the pivot. The headrest wing is also configured to support the head of a seat-occupant. The headrest further includes a connector disposed between the enclosure and a rear portion of the headrest wing. The connector is configured to provide an acoustic channel between the enclosure and the headrest wing such that audio signals from the one or more acoustic transducers are radiated outward through the headrest wing.
Child safety alarm system
A vehicle having a horn and a light includes an alarm system secured to a ceiling of the vehicle. The alarm system includes a housing secured to the ceiling; a computer carried within the housing and in data communication with a thermal imaging sensor configured to determine if a party is left behind after the driver leaves the vehicle; a transceiver operably associated with the computer; and a mobile device operably associated with the transceiver. The method to notify a driver and/or third party if a party is left behind in a vehicle includes determining if the party is left behind via the thermal imaging sensor; and wirelessly notifying driver that the party has been left behind.
Sensor device and device for checking the operational condition of a harness of a safety seat
A device for controlling the correct operating state of a restraining harness, intended for a safety seat, including at least one retaining strap that is under tension when the harness is in the state of restraining the occupant, the device being intended to be disposed in a predefined area of the latter, the device including: at least one sensor device including an elongate flexible element that is suitable for being positioned on the strap, and in particular rigidly connected thereto in the predefined area, and that is provided with a measuring system to measure, in the predefined area, at least a level of bending and/or tilting of the strap, a device to collect values linked to the level of bending and/or tilting, and internal or external device configured to analyze the values and of communicating with a receiver for receiving information on the operating state of the retaining harness.
