An autonomous tilting three-wheeled vehicle comprises a pair of front wheels coupled to a tiltable chassis by a mechanical linkage, such that the pair of wheels and the chassis are configured to tilt in unison with respect to a roll axis of the chassis. An electronic controller of the autonomous vehicle controls a tilt actuator to selectively tilt the chassis. Optionally, a steering actuator is coupled to the front wheels and controlled by the electronic controller to selectively steer the wheels. A sensor configured to measure orientation-dependent information may be coupled to the chassis by a gimbal configured to compensate for vehicle tilt. In some examples, the autonomous vehicle comprises an autonomous delivery robot.

An energy-dissipative pneumatic cushioning system for cushioning heavy loads includes (i) one or more support members that extend beneath at least a portion of at least one pneumatic cushioning element and (ii) at least one connector assembly that communicatively couple the at least one pneumatic cushioning element to a gas supply unit and optionally at least one gas reservoir. The at least one gas reservoir is capable of accepting at least a portion of gas from the at least one pneumatic cushioning element under a force of a load. The at least one connector assembly is further operable to allow a return of at least a portion of the gas to the at least one pneumatic cushioning element upon reduction of at least a portion of the force of the load.

A haul truck dump tray with a pneumatic shock absorption system is provided. The haul truck dump tray includes a first longitudinal body portion and a second longitudinal body portion joined along a center line by an interposing elastomeric link extending along the center line and bonded to and between them. The haul truck dump tray includes a topside support member joined along the center line by the interposing elastomeric link to the first longitudinal body portion and the second longitudinal body portion. The haul truck dump tray includes a bottomside support member joined along the center line by the interposing elastomeric link to the first longitudinal body portion and the second longitudinal body portion. The resulting haul truck dump tray has improved weight, strength, and durability characteristics.

A management system for a work vehicle, includes: a traveling condition data generation unit configured to generate traveling condition data that causes a work vehicle to enter with forward movement, from an entrance of a workplace to a work point of the workplace, and exit with backward movement, from the work point to an exit of the workplace; and an output unit configured to output the traveling condition data to the work vehicle.

A management system for a work vehicle, includes: a traveling condition data generation unit configured to generate traveling condition data that causes a work vehicle to enter with forward movement, from an entrance of a workplace to a work point of the workplace, and exit with backward movement, from the work point to an exit of the workplace; and an output unit configured to output the traveling condition data to the work vehicle.

An electrical vehicle (EV) rescue vehicle includes a mobile platform, which further includes a winch and a ramp. The mobile platform of the EV rescue vehicle is deployable for retrieving a disabled EV (a “rescued vehicle”) thereon with the winch and the ramp and for transportation of the disabled EV. A charging unit is associated with said mobile platform for connecting and charging of the disabled EV, either on a fixed location or during transport. A systems analysis module can be included with the system for testing a functionality of systems and components of the disabled EV and providing results of the testing to customers. The mobile platform can be provided as an EV rescue vehicle in a form of a trailer pulled by another vehicle or integrated with another vehicle (e.g., a truck). The EV rescue vehicle can also carry passengers associated with the disabled EV when the disabled EV is being transported, charged, and/or analyzed by the EV rescue vehicle.

A cart adapted to be attached to and carried by a vehicle with a receiver[define receiver to include attachments], comprising: a cart body; a connector attached to the body; four arms, each pivotably attached at a first end to the body; four wheels, each connected to a second end of one of the four arms; four arm actuators, each configured to pivot one of the four arms such that each wheel can be moved closer to or further away from the body; a controller; and at least two motors, each configured to rotate one wheel, each independently controlled by the controller; wherein the connector is adapted to mechanically engage the receiver; whereby the controller can move the cart and control the yaw of the cart by rotating one or more of the wheels; wherein the controller can adjust the height of the cart, the pitch of the cart, and the roll of the cart by pivoting one or more of the four arms; and whereby the cart is hitched to the vehicle such that the weight of the cart is born by the vehicle is disclosed.

A haulage vehicle includes a body, a load measurement device that measures a mounted load value of the body, a traveling electric motor, and a travel control device that outputs an electric motor command value, the travel control device sets a backward movement limiting set value to ON when it is determined that the haulage vehicle is in execution of either loading work or dumping work, and sets the backward movement limiting set value to OFF when a forward position signal and an accelerator pedal command value are inputted, an electric motor command value formed of a backward movement limiting command value is outputted to the traveling electric motor when the backward movement limiting set value is ON, and an electric motor command value formed of a normal command value is outputted to the traveling electric motor when the backward movement limiting set value is OFF.

A configurable trailer system which includes a chassis supported by one or more axles and any combination of an enclosed trailer, a camper, a livestock trailer, a dump bed and an open-sided trailer. The chassis includes a support surface and, at corners of the support surface, a plurality of locks. Each of the enclosed trailer, camper, livestock trailer, dump bed and open-sided trailer includes a plurality of corner castings configured to selectively and securely couple with the locks. A method for configuring the trailer system includes placing a first one of an enclosed trailer, a camper, a livestock trailer, a dump bed and an open-sided trailer on the chassis and locking to the chassis by engaging the locks with corner castings provided to corners of the first one of the enclosed trailer, camper, livestock trailer, dump bed and open-sided trailer.
