REVERSIBLE RAMP
20230150781 · 2023-05-18 · ·

A reversible ramp adapted for use with a trailer or truck that has an elongate rigid structure with a hook on one end for a trailer and a lip on the opposite end for a truck. The lip has a curved portion that protrudes beyond the elongate rigid structure and terminates at an edge with a lip plane extending from the edge to a corner of the elongate rigid structure. The hook terminates at an edge with a hook plane extending from the edge to a corner on the other end of the elongate rigid structure. The hook plane is at a larger angle with respect to the elongate rigid structure compared to the lip plane. In use, the hook plane aligns with the ground when the lip end is on the truck. Likewise, the lip plane aligns with the ground when the hook end is on a trailer.

A door operating mechanism displaces a door between a closed position and a deck position relative to a structure including a frame with a side door jamb and a head door jamb. The door operating mechanism includes a motor, and an actuator connected to the motor and disposed within the side door jamb. A cable is connected at one end to the actuator and at an opposite end to the door via a pulley assembly. A wire harness system electrically connects the motor to a plug connector. A control panel is mounted adjacent the door and is coupled with the motor via the wire harness system.

Motor controller and method for loading and unloading tractors on flatbed trailers

A method for driving a tractor on a flatbed trailer. The method includes locating a starting position of the tractor, determining a final position for the tractor, and searching for a ramp attached to the flatbed trailer. A driving path is calculated to drive the tractor from the starting position, along the ramp, and to the final position. The tractor is autonomously operated to drive along the driving path. The method may periodically detect an intermediate position of the tractor and determining if the intermediate position is located on the driving path. The driving path may be updated with a course correction to drive the tractor from the intermediate position to the final position. The tractor is stopped after arriving at the final position.

Ramp deployment system

A ramp deployment system for deploying and securing first and second ramps to the entrance of a container-type vehicle using a ratchet strap arrangement. The ratchet strap arrangement includes first and second ratchet strap devices each having a tightening strap coupled to a respective hook and collar mechanism that includes a closable hook operable to engage a collar to form a loop portion by the tightening strap around the undercarriage of the container-type vehicle. A ratchet mechanism is operatively coupled to the tightening strap for tightening or loosening the tightening strap relative to the first and second ramps when the ratchet strap mechanism is actuated. The ratchet mechanism is also engaged to a fixed length strap having a hook portion configured to engage the cross rungs of the first and second ramps and secure the ratchet strap arrangement securely between container-type vehicle and the first and second ramps. In some embodiments, a pair of connecting bars may be coupled between the first and second ramps to provide structural reinforcement between the first and second ramps.

An apparatus for conveniently loading or unloading objects to and from a cargo bed of a vehicle. The system includes at least one ramp, a bumper, and a tailgate. The ramp includes a retaining member extending therefrom. The bumper has a configuration capable of receiving therethrough at least a portion of the ramp, to store the ramp under the vehicle in a stored position. The tailgate includes a plurality of retaining openings defined therein. The retaining openings have a configuration capable of receiving at least a portion of the retaining member of the ramp, to place the ramp in an in-use position. The ramp can be retained in the stored position by way of engaging ledges, which can be easily disengaged by a user to withdraw the ramp for use in loading or unloading objects from the cargo bed.

Bundle Transport Trailer

A roofing material bundle transport trailer includes a steering assembly and a pair of transport wheels movably supporting a frame upon a support surface. An inner end of a brake pedal grips one of a plurality of frame rollers rotatably mounted to the frame spaced from each other along a longitudinal axis. The brake pedal can be moved by pivoting a handle relative to the frame for sliding a locking pin extending through the brake pedal. A ramp is pivotably mounted to the frame between an unloading position extending to the support surface and an upright position extending away from the support surface and being removably held by a pair of locking plates pivotably mounted to the frame. Rollers are rotatably mounted to the ramp and aligned with the frame rollers.
