DETECTING AND RESPONDING TO AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE INCIDENTS
Methods and systems for assessing, detecting, and responding to malfunctions involving components of autonomous vehicles and/or smart homes are described herein. Autonomous operation features and related components can be assessed using direct or indirect data regarding operation. Vehicle collision and/or smart home incident monitoring, damage detection, and responses are also described, with particular focus on the particular challenges associated with incident response for unoccupied vehicles and/or smart homes. Operating data associated with the autonomous vehicle and/or smart home may be received. Within the operating, an unusual condition indicative of a likelihood of incident may be detected. Based on the unusual condition, it may be determined that the incident occurred. Accordingly, a response to the incident may be determined. The response may be implemented by the autonomous vehicle and/or smart home.
Autonomous vehicle retrieval
Methods and systems autonomously parking and retrieving vehicles are disclosed. Available parking spaces or parking facilities may be identified, and the vehicle may be navigated to an available space from a drop-off location without passengers. Special-purpose sensors, GPS data, or wireless signal triangulation may be used to identify vehicles and available parking spots. Upon a user request or a prediction of upcoming user demand, the vehicle may be retrieved autonomously from a parking space. Other vehicles may be autonomously moved to facilitate parking or retrieval.
ADAPTER ASSEMBLY FOR LIFTING A VEHICLE
An adapter assembly for lifting a vehicle includes an adapter defining a first pin aperture, a second pin aperture, and an adapter aperture, a first pin, a second pin, and a cross member removably received by the adapter aperture. The first pin is configured to be removably received by the first pin aperture and a first aperture defined by a frame of the vehicle to selectively couple the adapter to the frame. The second pin is configured to be removably received by the second pin aperture and a second aperture defined by the frame of the vehicle to selectively couple the adapter to the frame.

COMPONENT DAMAGE AND SALVAGE ASSESSMENT
Methods and systems for assessing, detecting, and responding to malfunctions involving components of autonomous vehicle and/or smart homes are described herein. Autonomous operation features and related components can be assessed using direct or indirect data regarding operation. Such assessment may be performed to determine the condition of components for salvage following a collision or other loss-event. To this end, the information regarding a plurality of components may be received. A component of the plurality of components may be identified for assessment. Assessment may including causing test signals to be sent to the identified component. In response to the test signal, one or more responses may be received. The received response may be compared to an expected response to determine whether the identified component is salvageable.
BOOM ASSEMBLY EQUIPPED WITH AN EXTENDABLE WINCH ASSEMBLY
A boom assembly includes a boom housing having a longitudinal, internal cavity. A telescoping boom moves in an axial direction relative to the boom housing and has a first end positioned within the longitudinal, internal cavity and a second end positioned outside the longitudinal, internal cavity. A winch assembly moves with the movement of the telescoping boom. A winch cable extends from the winch assembly and is guided by a pulley. A portion of the winch cable extends over the pulley in an outward direction from the pulley. The extending portion of the winch cable has a length, and the length of the extending portion of the winch cable remains the same regardless of the axial movement of the telescoping boom relative to the boom housing.
Attachment device
An attachment system for attaching an external component to a chassis of a vehicle, such as components for performing snow clearance, road measurements, road surface marking assemblies, transport of vehicles or gear, including salvaging work and transport of heavy-duty vehicles is disclosed. The attachment system includes a connection element for interconnecting with the external component, a cross-bar fastening element for fastening a cross-bar to the attachment device, and a cross-bar support element arranged to support the cross-bar when fixated to the attachment device.
Harness assembly for towing a vehicle
A harness assembly for towing a vehicle having a sling-like configuration that encloses an end of a towed vehicle and which is connected to a towing vehicle by elongated straps. Elongated towing straps have a first looped end attached to the cover and a second looped end attached to the towing vehicle. First and second flexible straps extend through the first looped end of the towing straps for releasably connecting the cover to the towing straps. First and second rope networks are part of the cover and consist of a plurality of ropes which merge at their ends to form a cord member and a loop through which the flexible straps extend. The towing straps are flexible and have a length greater than the length of the towed vehicle. The towing straps; the flexible straps; and the cover are made of a strong, durable material.
Detecting and responding to autonomous environment incidents
Methods and systems for assessing, detecting, and responding to malfunctions involving components of autonomous vehicles and/or smart homes are described herein. Autonomous operation features and related components can be assessed using direct or indirect data regarding operation. Vehicle collision and/or smart home incident monitoring, damage detection, and responses are also described, with particular focus on the particular challenges associated with incident response for unoccupied vehicles and/or smart homes. Operating data associated with the autonomous vehicle and/or smart home may be received. Within the operating data, a divergence between sensor data from one or more sensors and control data from one or more autonomous operation features may be identified. Based on the divergence, it may be determined that an incident has occurred. Accordingly, a response to the incident may be determined. The response may be implemented by the autonomous vehicle and/or smart home.
Autonomous vehicle sensor malfunction detection
Methods and systems for assessing, detecting, and responding to malfunctions involving components of autonomous vehicles and/or smart homes are described herein. Malfunctions may be detected by receiving sensor data from a plurality of sensors. One of these sensors may be selected for assessment. An electronic device may obtain from the selected sensor a set of signals. When the set of signals includes signals that are outside of a determined range of signals associated with proper functioning for the selected sensor, it may be determined that the selected sensor is malfunctioning. In response, an action may be performed to resolve the malfunction and/or mitigate consequences of the malfunction.
