The power management system (200; 300; 400) includes a battery unit (240; 340; 440) electrically connected to the transport refrigeration unit (150); and a generator (230; 330; 430) mechanically connected to the engine (110), the generator (230; 330; 430) being configured to be mechanically driven by the engine (110) and to supply electrical power to the battery unit (240; 340; 440). The power management system (200; 300; 400) is configured to supply electrical power to the transport refrigeration unit (150) from the battery unit (240; 340; 440) responsive to a power demand of the transport refrigeration unit (150).

The air conditioning system includes a charge display device configured to display a charge related to a use of the air conditioner; and a controller configured to control an air conditioning operation. The controller includes: a load calculation unit that calculates an air conditioning load of the air conditioner; a charge calculation unit that calculates a usage charge based on the air conditioning load; and a charge display unit that displays the usage charge on the charge display device.

An air conditioning system includes an air conditioner mounted on a mobile body having a cold storage. The air conditioner includes a compressor, a condenser, a decompression device, an evaporator, and a blower. The air conditioning system includes a charge display device configured to display a charge related to a use of the air conditioner; and a controller configured to control an air conditioning operation. The controller includes: a load calculation unit that calculates an air conditioning load of the air conditioner; a charge calculation unit that calculates a usage charge based on the air conditioning load; and a charge display unit that displays the usage charge on the charge display device.

An air-conditioning system includes: an air conditioner mounted on a mobile body having a cold storage; an internal temperature sensor configured to measure an internal temperature inside the cold storage; a notification device configured to notify an error of the air conditioner; and a control unit configured to control an air-conditioning operation. The control unit includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire the internal temperature, a setting unit configured to set an appropriate temperature range of the cold storage, a determination unit configured to determine whether the internal temperature is within the appropriate temperature range, and a notification control unit configured to control an error notification using the notification device and perform a temperature error notification when the internal temperature is out of the appropriate temperature range after a pre-cooling by the air conditioner is completed, and does not perform the temperature error notification before the pre-cooling is completed.

Disclosed is a transportation unit comprising: a plurality of roadway wheels including wheel, a plurality of continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) including a first CVT and a second CVT, the plurality of CVTs receiving rotational input from the wheel, and a generator that is rotationally driven by rotational output from the plurality of CVTs, and wherein each of the plurality of CVTs is engaged over one of a corresponding plurality of discrete wheel rotational speeds.

A mobile generator includes a housing having a top portion, a first side portion, and a second side portion, wherein the first side portion includes an energy-receiving component. The mobile generator also includes an arm pivotally coupled to the housing at a first pivot point and to the first side portion at a second pivot point. A first motion controller is configured to drive rotation of the arm about the first pivot point, and a second motion controller configured to drive rotation of the first side portion about the second pivot point.

A transportation refrigeration system including: a transportation refrigeration unit comprising a motor; a power conversion unit configured convert an amplitude, a frequency and a phase of an input electrical power signal, wherein the power conversion unit comprises a first power bridge, a DC link and a second power bridge; an energy storage device configured to supply electrical power to the motor via the power conversion unit during a road mode; a first switch configured to selectively connect the first power bridge to the energy storage device or the motor; and a second switch configured to selectively connect the second power bridge to the motor or a power grid; wherein the first switch and second switch are positioned to connect the first power bridge and second power bridge to specified sources and outputs during each of the road mode and the standby mode.
