Truck bed extender integrated to end gate

An end gate for a vehicle includes a body having a first surface, a second, opposing surface, a first lateral side, a second opposing lateral side, and a first end. The first end is pivotally mounted to the vehicle and a second end extends between the first and second lateral sides spaced from the first end. A plurality of guide members is secured to the first surface of the body. Each of the plurality of guide members includes a guide passage. A selectively deployable bed extender is integrated into the body. The bed extender includes a plurality of post members slidingly received in the guide passage of corresponding ones of the plurality of guide members. At least two of the plurality of post members is pivotally attached to the body. At least one cross member is connected to each of the plurality of post members.

TRAILER-BASED CONSTRUCTION PLATFORM

A support tube end element provides a structure allowing support of trailer platform support tubes to form expansive, stable base useful in house construction. Additionally, the support tube end element has a feature allowing for jack support of a platform support tube on the periphery of the base. A trailer for forming the base includes a frame, a plurality of stationary platform support tubes and a plurality of moveable platform support tubes received, at a first end, within the plurality of stationary platform support tubes. Each moveable platform support tube has, at a second end, the support tube end element. A construction method involves moving the trailer to a job site, extending the moveable platform support tubes, affixing a jack post to the support tube end element and extending the jack post to contact a substrate such that the jack post supports the moveable platform support tube.

Mitigation of booster-induced effects

An improved articulated heavy haul trailer combination comprises a trailing accessory vehicle such as a booster coupled to a main trailer by a coupling. The coupling includes a horizontal hinge, a vertical hinge that allows the trailing accessory vehicle to yaw in a horizontal plane, a spreader extending between the hinges and a hydraulic piston and cylinder. A turn sensor mounted on said combination detects yawing, and a controller reduces the piston and cylinder's downward biasing force on the coupling.

Tailgate ramp apparatus

An apparatus for use with a vehicle tailgate includes a base, a first attachment member, a second attachment member and a ramp. The first attachment member and second attachment member are spaced apart from each other and extend from the base. The ramp is irremovably secured to the base. The attachment members are configured to be received in a latch of the vehicle tailgate.

Modular tailgate

A modular gate combined with multiple functions which can be easily employed with existing tailgates without any hardware or mounting modifications to existing truck beds. There is provided a modular tailgate system having a tailgate portion in combination with a plurality of functions. The modular tailgate system integrates any combinations of at least two of the plurality of features without affecting existing body sides and/or existing truck beds. Integrated features include a multi-functional gate (e.g., swing, drop, etc), storage (e.g., normal, sealed, refrigerated, heated, etc), step(s), lighting (e.g., ingress/egress, bed interior, removable, trailer hitch, parking, etc), bed extension(s), power (e.g., 12 v and/or 110 v), tie downs (e.g., ratchets, anchors, etc), sawhorse, magnet(s), table(s), bench(es), seat(s), net(s), any other predetermined desired function, etc., and combinations thereof.
