LIGHTING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR VEHICLE
The lighting device includes a lens unit mounted on a vehicle body and a light source unit embedded in the lens unit and hidden in the lens unit or configured to radiate light to the lens unit.
Vehicle lamp
Provided is a vehicle lamp including: a light source; and a light guide extending in a predetermined extension direction and configured to guide therethrough a light from the light source such that the light is incident from a rear surface and emitted from a front surface. The light guide includes a guide element including a front incident surface formed in a portion of the rear surface facing the light source; a side incident surface formed on a side of the front incident surface on the rear surface, and a reflecting surface formed on a side of the side incident surface on the rear surface and configured to totally reflect the light incident from the side incident surface toward the front surface. A joint portion between the front incident surface and the side incident surface is formed as a curved surface.
VEHICLE HEADLAMP AND VEHICLE USING SAME
A vehicle headlamp includes a plurality of light emitting elements; a plurality of first lenses; and a plurality of second lenses. The first lens includes a first lens entrance and a first lens exit, and is configured to converge light entered the first lens entrance from the light emitting element on the first lens exit. The second lens includes a second lens entrance facing the first lens exit of the first lens and the second lens exit having a projection shape for forming a focal point. The focal point of the second lens is positioned at a side of the second lens ahead the first lens exit of the first lens.
Lighting apparatus and method of alignment
The present disclosure discusses a lighting apparatus. The lighting apparatus includes a housing with a fastening fixture and a pivot fixture, a light bar including a first arm, a second arm and a third arm with an optical marking, and a light guide including a light pipe, a pivot hole, a first slot and a second slot located between the housing and the light bar, wherein the optical marking of the light bar is aligned with the light pipe of the light guide by rotating the light guide and the first arm about the pivot hole and the light bar is fastened to the housing.
Method for unlocking a vehicle door for an authorized user
A method for unlocking a door for an authorized user of a vehicle via a door unlocking system of the vehicle includes providing a control at the vehicle, providing a near field communication device at the vehicle, and wirelessly communicating, via the near field communication device of the vehicle, with a near field communication-enabled smartphone when the smartphone is within a threshold distance from the vehicle. Responsive to the near field communication device of the vehicle communicating with the smartphone, it is determined whether or not the smartphone is an authorized device. The smartphone is authenticated as an authorized device for communication with the near field communication device of the equipped vehicle. Responsive to the smartphone being authenticated as an authorized device, the locking mechanism is actuated, at least in part via the control, to unlock the vehicle door for the user of the authorized device.
Vehicular lighting assemblies and headlamps with condenser lenses configured to prevent solar damage
A vehicular lighting assembly (and methods of making the same) that includes a parabolic reflector; a condenser lens comprising a non-planar rear surface; an outer lens; a bezel between the lenses; and a light source that emanates light that strikes the reflector and exits the assembly through the condenser lens and the outer lens. Further, the non-planar rear surface of the condenser lens refracts ambient light entering the condenser lens away from the bezel. In embodiments, the non-planar rear surface can comprise a convex or a concave surface.
Vehicle exterior lighting systems
A vehicle exterior lighting system includes, among other things, a lens assembly, a light diffusing fiber enclosed within the lens assembly, a light source connected to a first portion of the light diffusing fiber, and a prismatic device connected to a second portion of the light diffusing fiber.
Headlight with a modular projection module for enhancing illumination intensity
A headlight with a modular projection module for enhancing illumination intensity includes a base, a lighting module, a reflective cover, a light-shielding member and a lens assembly. The base has a connection portion obliquely formed on a top of the base. The lighting module is mounted on the connection portion of the base. The reflective cover is mounted on the connection portion of the base with an inner reflective surface facing the lighting module. The lens assembly is mounted on a front portion of the base. The light-shielding member is mounted on a rear portion of the lens assembly. As the lighting module is located below a horizontal center line of the lens assembly and the connection portion of the base is obliquely arranged, the reflective cover can significantly reflect light emitted from the lighting module to enhance illumination intensity of the headlight.
Vehicle lighting structure with first lamp assembly fixed to vehicle body and second lamp assembly fixed to trunk lid that align with one another with trunk lid closed
A first lamp assembly has a first side surface with a first light passage and a hollow interior with a first light dispersing member disposed therein. The first light dispersing member is positioned to receive light emitted through the first light passage and emit light received via the first light passage. The second lamp assembly has a hollow interior with a first lighting device disposed therein, and a second side surface with a second light passage. The first lighting device is positioned to emit light through the second light passage, such that when the second light passage and the first light passage are adjacent to one another with the first and second light passages being aligned, and with the first lighting device operating, the first lighting device emits light through the second light passage into the second light passage illuminating the first light dispersing member within the first lamp assembly.
ILLUMINATION DEVICE
An illumination device includes: an elongated light guide; a first light source; a second light source; and a controller. A first increase beginning time point at which the brightness of the first light source begins to increase from zero is prior to a second increase beginning time point at which the brightness of the second light source begins to increase from zero. A first increase finish time point at which the brightness of the first light source finishes increasing to the first set brightness is simultaneous with or prior to a second increase finish time point at which the brightness of the second light source finishes increasing to the second set brightness. A time from the first increase beginning time point to the second increase finish time point is not more than 0.2 seconds.
