A multifunction lamp unit for a vehicle includes a housing, at least one light pipe together with at least one light source disposed at least partially within the housing, and a clear lens substantially enclosing the housing, the at least one light pipe and the at least one light source, the lens having an inner surface, an outer surface disposed opposite the inner surface and at least one of a continuous transparent and translucent coating on the outer surface.
Illuminated vehicular emblem
An illuminated vehicular emblem for a means of transportation includes a housing unit, a lighting unit and a light dimming unit. The housing unit includes a bottom case, a top case disposed on the bottom case, and an emblem member disposed above the top case. A receiving space is defined between the top and bottom cases to receive the lighting unit. The lighting unit includes a light guide plate, light emitting components and a first light shielding film disposed on the light guide plate. The light emitting components are disposed at the light guide plate such that the light guide plate receives light emitted from the light emitting components. The light dimming unit changes the direction of propagation of the light and includes a first dot portion distributed on the light guide plate and along a projection of an outline of the emblem member.
Vehicle lamp with reflashing access and method of flashing a vehicle lamp
A vehicle lamp assembly includes, a lamp housing defining an interior cavity and an exterior surface, a circuit board disposed within the interior cavity, the circuit board including a memory device, microprocessor and a connector for establishing a communication link with the memory device and the microprocessor. A vent opening within the lamp housing aligned with the connector on the circuit board and a permeable membrane is attached over the vent opening. Alignment of the vent opening with the connector provides access for reflashing upon removal of the permeable membrane.
Warning light device for a backview mirror
A warning light device for a backview mirror has a backview mirror and a warning unit. The backview mirror has a casing and a mirror corresponding to each other. the mirror comprising a translucent region allowing the warning unit disposed in the casing to be aligned with the translucent region on the mirror. The warning unit has a lighting device, an illumination cover and a circuit board. The lighting device has a containment space and an opening connected to the containment space, the circuit board disposed in the containment space through the opening. The circuit board further comprising a plurality of illuminating members behind the opening; the illumination cover having a translucent plate configured to cover the opening; a plurality of illumination rods disposed in the containment space and in front of the translucent plate facing the illuminating members.
Device combining stop lamps and cargo lamps
A lighting device for a motor vehicle, the lighting device including a vehicle stop-lamp assembly and a cargo-lamp assembly. The lighting device includes a common lens that is configured, on the one hand, to form at least one stop-lamp light beam and, on the other hand, to form at least one cargo-lamp light beam. It furthermore includes a first group of light sources that are configured to emit stop-lamp light beams and a second group of light sources that are configured to emit cargo-lamp light beams, the light sources of the first group and of the second group being arranged on a common electronic holder.
VEHICLE LIGHTING ASSEMBLY WITH LENS HEATING DEVICE AND RECEPTACLE CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY FOR SAME
A lighting assembly is presented herein. The lighting assembly includes a receptacle terminal having a connection portion defining an aperture configured to receive a corresponding plug terminal along a longitudinal axis and an attachment portion configured to attach the receptacle terminal to a wire, a terminal housing defining a first oval-shaped opening and an oval-shaped cavity in which the connection portion of the receptacle terminal is disposed, and a terminal housing cover defining a second oval-shaped opening attached to the terminal housing, thereby enclosing the connection portion. The connection portion is sized, shaped, and arranged within the cavity to be movable along a lateral axis that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.
Information processing apparatus, information processing method, photographing apparatus, lighting apparatus, and mobile body
The present technique relates to an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, a photographing apparatus, a lighting apparatus, and a mobile body which enable accuracy of image recognition processing to be improved. The information processing apparatus includes: a recognizing portion configured to perform image recognition processing with respect to an image photographed by a photographing portion and calculate, for each recognized area being an area based on a recognition result of an object, a reliability of the recognition result; and an irradiation control portion configured to control an irradiation pattern of visible light in a photographing direction of the photographing portion so that the reliability with respect to at least a part of the recognized areas increases. For example, the present technique can be applied to a vehicle control apparatus.
Car lamp capable of sound output and communication system using the same
A car lamp capable of sound output and a communication system using the same, and in particular, a car lamp capable of sound output by installing a piezo speaker-type actuator on an inner surface of an outer lens of the car lamp and a communication system that may synchronize and output a video signal and an audio signal using the same.
VEHICULAR BACK-UP CAMERA SYSTEM
A backup camera system integrates various capabilities in a common housing to deliver enhanced safety and convenience functions for less cost and improved utility. Apparatus such as an inertial measurement unit (IMU) may be used to automatically detect when the vehicle is moving in reverse, such that no signal is required from the vehicle to determine that the vehicle is moving in reverse. The IMU may further detect a crash situation. A sound or light generator may provide an alert to an area surrounding the vehicle. Integrated communications capabilities provide for remote control of various functions and the exchange of signals and information to remote devices facilitating vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-infrastructure or infrastructure-to-vehicle communications. The system may further integrate proximity detection, imaging and computer-readable code interpretation, and GPS location.
