ILLUMINATED AIR CATCHER PASSAGE
20170313236 · 2017-11-02 ·

An automotive vehicle includes a headlamp housing mounted to a body of the vehicle. An airflow opening extends through the headlamp housing. A light guide coupled to the housing forms a portion of an airflow passage extending from the airflow opening into an interior of the body of the vehicle. A surface of the light guide is etched with a design extending along a length of the airflow passage. An LED light generating unit is positioned adjacent an end of the light guide to pass light from the light generating unit through the light guide that illuminates the etched design.

A courtesy lighting system is provided for a door of a motor vehicle. That courtesy lighting system includes an audio speaker, a light source, a network interface connected to the audio speaker and the light source and a control module. The control module is connected to the network interface. The control module includes a controller configured to operate in (a) an ambient illumination mode, (b) a footwell illumination mode when the door is closed and (c) a puddle illumination mode when the door is opened. A method of lighting a door of a motor vehicle is also provided.

Heater and Heated Vehicle Illumination Assembly
20170327028 · 2017-11-16 ·

A heated light enclosure having an adaptable heating system is provided with a controlled heating system to deliver enough heat to a lens on a lamp assembly to remove snow, frost, and/or condensation without overheating the lens. By heating the lens using a combination of one or more of PTC heaters, heat sinks and heat pipes, accumulation of snow, ice, or vapor is mitigated or eliminated from a surface of the lens, thereby enabling light to transmit through the lens. Applications include lamps and bulbs on conveyance devices, including vehicles, boats, planes, and trains, as well as sedentary structures, such as lamp posts, street lights, railroad crossing markers and lights, and airport ground and runway lighting systems.

Lighting and/or signaling light-emitting device for vehicles
09776554 · 2017-10-03 · ·

A light-emitting device, notably a lighting and/or signaling device for a motor vehicle, including at least one first light source intended to emit a first modulated light beam coding information; at least one second light source intended to emit a second modulated light beam coding information; a control device adapted: to determine, on receiving information to be transmitted via the light-emitting device, if a first light beam intended to be emitted by the first source should be modulated to code the information to be transmitted and/or if a second beam intended to be emitted by the second source should be modulated to code the information to be transmitted, the determination depending on information relating to the local solar illumination; as a function of the determination, to modulate the first light beam and/or the energization second light beam to code the information to be transmitted.

VEHICLE LAMP HEATER AND VEHICLE LAMP
20170240093 · 2017-08-24 ·

This disclosure refers to a vehicle lamp heater, comprising a PTC heating resistor, a metallic cooling body fixed to the PTC heating resistor, and a holder holding the PTC heating resistor and the metallic cooling body. Also disclosed is vehicle lamp comprising a plastic housing with a transparent cover and such vehicle lamp heater.

Headlamp Assembly with a Housing and Heat Sink Structure

A headlamp assembly for a vehicle includes housing for coupling the headlamp assembly to a vehicle and a heat sink structure having a first side, a second side, a first edge, and a second edge. A first light emitting diode assembly and a second light emitting diode assembly are each electrically connected to a circuit board. The second edge of the heat sink structure directly contacts an inner surface of the housing, such that the housing is separated into first and second sections by the heat sink structure. Illumination of the first light emitting diode assembly results in a low beam and illumination of both the first light emitting diode assembly and the second light emitting diode assembly results in a high beam.

Image projection apparatus

Based on information about a vehicle, the information can be projected and displayed onto a road surface or the like. An image projection apparatus, which projects an image, includes an acquisition unit that acquires the information about the vehicle, and an image projection unit that projects the image based on the information acquired by the acquisition unit.

HEADLIGHT SOCKET WITH ANTENNA
20170317410 · 2017-11-02 ·

A headlight socket with an antenna includes a base, cover, first antenna device and connection stand. The base includes a mounting portion. The cover is mounted on the base through the mounting portion and has a sidewall for annularly defining a receiving space. The first antenna device is received in the cover and includes a conductive end. The connection stand is coupled to the sidewall. The connection stand includes a connection port in contact and connection with the conductive end. The headlight socket is mounted on a vehicle. The first antenna device for receiving signals is disposed at the front of the vehicle, thereby enhancing the quality of signal reception. Conventional vehicular antennas are integrated into the headlight socket to manifest advantages of modularization so that an automobile assembly process is simplified, allowing internal circuits to be readily integrated.

LIGHTED VEHICLE STEP PAD AND VEHICLE LIGHT SOURCE
20220203914 · 2022-06-30 ·

A lighted vehicle part includes a vehicle step pad attachable to a vehicle. The step pad has a stepping surface configured to permit a user to step on the stepping surface when loading objects into a vehicle on which the step pad is attached. A downturned lip extends downwardly from the stepping surface. A light source is mounted to the step pad in such a way that the light source can emit light from the lip.

Component arrangement

A component arrangement includes at least one basic component in which at least one additional component is integrated, the additional component forming at least one visible joint with the basic component. A holding device for the additional component is integrated in the basic component.
