ENHANCED COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE HAZARD LIGHTS
A system for implementing strobing of existing vehicle hazard lights including an interface to a vehicle wiring harness configured to receive input to an existing vehicle flasher module, and a strobing circuit that responds to an activation signal from the vehicle wiring harness that is indicative of a hazard flasher deployment event by producing an electrical output through the interface to the vehicle wiring harness that causes a strobing of existing vehicle hazard lamps.
Vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly with blind spot indicator module
A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror reflective element sub-assembly having a mirror reflective element, a mirror reflector, a mirror back plate, a heater pad and a blind spot indicator module. The heater pad is disposed between the mirror reflective element and the mirror back plate and has a light transmitting portion that is aligned with an aperture of the mirror back plate. The blind spot indicator module includes a body portion and a connector portion extending from the body portion. Light emitted by at least one light emitting diode of the blind spot indicator module passes through the light transmitting portion of the heater pad and through a light-transmitting portion of the mirror reflector and exits the mirror reflective element to provide a visual icon visible to a driver of the vehicle who is driving the vehicle and who is viewing said mirror reflective element.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING LIGHT SOURCES IN MOTOR VEHICLES
Device for controlling at least a first light source of a motor vehicle, the motor vehicle at least comprising the first light source being configured to provide a first light function and a second light source configured to provide a second light function, the device comprising: electrical means configured to detect activation of the second light source, and to deactivate the first light source after detection of activation of the second light source. Also, method for controlling at least a first light source of a motor vehicle, the motor vehicle comprising the first light source being configured to provide a first light function and a second light source configured to provide a second light function, the method comprising: electrically detecting activation of the second light source; and electrically deactivating the first light source after detecting activation of the second light source.
Warning device for a vehicle
A warning device for a vehicle comprising a number plate support portion for supporting a number plate. The warning device further comprises a warning indicator. The number plate support portion is movably attached to the warning indicator. The number plate support portion is moveable from a first position covering the warning indicator to a second position revealing the warning indicator. Further, the warning device comprises a number plate support portion pivotably attached to the warning Indicator such that the number plate support portion and the warning device fold together and fold apart when the number plate support portion is moved between the first position and the second position.
MATRIX LIGHTING DEVICE WITH TIME OF FLIGHT ESTIMATION
The invention proposes a lighting device for a motor vehicle comprising a matrix light source that performs a lighting function within the motor vehicle. The same source is used, together with a photodiode, to estimate the time of flight of captured light pulses initially generated by the matrix source. It becomes possible to detect objects and/or gestures using light in the visible spectrum, and without having to use specific pulse sources dedicated for this purpose.
CONTROL OF HIGH VISIBILITY VEHICLE LIGHT COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
A system provides for strobing or high conspicuity signaling with vehicle hazard and other lights depending upon inputs and parameters.
Lamp group switching control device
A lamp group switching control device for switching and controlling a first lamp group and a second lamp group is provided. When receiving a first power source for driving the first lamp group, the lamp group switching control device controls that only the first lamp group provides a first light signal regardless of whether a second power source for driving the second lamp group is received. When the first power source is not received and the second power source is received, the lamp group switching control device controls that only the second lamp group provides the second light signal.
Vehicle headlight system and method for controlling at least one headlight of a vehicle
A vehicle headlight system has at least one headlight having low, high and off modes. A controller is electrically connected to the at least one headlight and communicates with a switch. The switch has first, second and third positions. The second position is intermediate the first and third positions, and is biased to return to the second position from the third position. The controller controls the at least one headlight to be: in one of the low beam mode and the high beam mode when the switch is in the first position; in another one of the low beam mode and the high beam mode when the switch is in the second position; in the off mode when the switch is in the third position for more than a predetermined amount of time. A method for controlling at least one headlight of a vehicle is also disclosed.
Lighting System for a Bicycle
Provided herein is a lighting system for a two- or three-wheeled vehicle. The lightning system has at least one light bar each of which has a housing enclosing a support matrix to which a plurality of light emitting diodes are operably attached, a power supply and at least one mount to secure the light bar to the two- or three-wheeled vehicle. The power supply is operably connected to the light bar to operate the light emitting diodes. The power supply may have a driver for operating the light emitting diodes in a sequence.
ELECTRICAL DEVICE CONTROLLER
An electrical device controller includes a processor, and a memory for storing a program executed by the processor. The processor controls the electrical device in multiple operation modes including an automatic mode which automatically changes the operation state of the electrical device and a stop mode which stops the electrical device, controls the electrical device in an operation mode specified with an operating member operated by an occupant when the vehicle is manually driven, controls the operation state of the electrical device in the automatic mode regardless of the operation mode specified with the operating member when the vehicle is autonomously driven, and sets the operation mode of the electrical device at least temporarily to the stop mode when the operation mode specified with the operation member is switched to the stop mode from an operation mode other than the stop mode, when the vehicle is autonomously driven.
