11066011 · 2021-07-20 ·

A modular light bar, for mounting on an emergency vehicle, is configured for changing of a portion of its external shape for changing a corresponding light directional capability thereof using interchangeable lighting modules. The lights thereon cast light in multiple lighting directions without using any rotating elements. The modular light bar includes: a base member with a first light bar end section and a second light bar end section interconnected by a support portion configured to provide a gap between the first and second light bar end sections. Various different center section lighting modules may be interchangeably received in the gap between the first light bar end section and the second light bar end section, and be latched thereto.

Mold-in cable, wire harness and component retainer

The present invention relates to wire harness and automotive component retention devices, and particularly to a mold-in retention feature in the automotive field for securing a wire harness to a light-signal housing comprising: first and second longitudinal flexible arms with engagement portions protruding from a flexible indentation or membrane on the housing where the first arm is juxtaposed opposite the second arm and where the associated arms are spaced away from each other in an open position and mate together in a closed position. The arms are configured to move from closed to open when a force is applied on the housing's backside so that depression of a flexible indentation or membrane causes associated arms to spread open and receive harness components. Furthermore, arms may move from open to closed position when an applied force is released on a flexible membrane so that a received harness component becomes secured between arms.

Vehicle grille assembly

A vehicle grille assembly includes a body panel and a housing coupled to the body panel. The housing includes a front surface and a rear surface. The rear surface defines a cutout. A display assembly is disposed adjacent to the housing and aligned with the cutout. The display assembly includes a light source disposed on a circuit board and a heatsink coupled to the circuit board. The light source emits light towards the front surface of the housing. A deflector is disposed adjacent to the display assembly and includes a base and a guide wall extending vertically from the base. The deflector includes a first surface and a second surface. The deflector defines a first airflow path and a second airflow path.

A multi-light control module assembly for controlling multiple lamps on a motorized vehicle includes a circuit board module having a first end, a second end, a first side, and a second side. The board has a length defined between the first end and the second end and a width defined between the first side and the second side. A diode assembly is coupled to the module towards the second end thereof, and a connector assembly is coupled to the module adjacent to the diode assembly. The connector assembly is electrically coupled to the diode assembly. A first channel is defined between a first arm and a main portion of the module, and a second channel defined between a second arm and the main portion of the module. A cap is removably coupled to the connector assembly configured for partially housing a pair of wires receiving in the connector assembly.

Vehicle Modular Accessory Mounting System
20210188155 · 2021-06-24 ·

A modular vehicle accessory mounting system which includes one or more extruded rails designed to attach along a edge of the installation vehicle, one or more modular accessory modules that attach to the extruded rail as well as one or more communication modules that provide power to the accessory modules and serves as a communication bridge between the system and the vehicle or outside world. Generally speaking, these components may be structured to provide a low-profile mounting system for auxiliary illumination and other accessories along the edges of vehicles.

MOTOR VEHICLE HORN AND LIGHT SYSTEM AND METHOD
20210197719 · 2021-07-01 ·

A motor vehicle horn and light system accommodating sounding a vehicle horn and illuminating one or more vehicle exterior lights when a user-operated button is pressed. The electrical circuit includes a battery electrically connected to a horn and light system computer. The system computer includes a processor and an input/output interface. The system circuit further includes a user-operated button electrically connected to the battery, to a vehicle horn, and to an input port of the system computer. The system computer is electrically connected to a light relay module via an output port, and the light relay module is connected to a vehicle exterior light. The system computer processor can be programmed to illuminate or flash the exterior light as desired. The system may further include a horn and light system switch and may also include a vehicle main computer electrically connected to the light relay module.

Glazing with detachable light device

The invention relates to a glazing having a first anchoring support being configured to engage with an electrical connector that is part of an electrically actuated device comprising at least one electrically actuated component and first and second electrical connectors that are connectable with an electrical power supply. Upon electrically connecting the first and second electrical connectors to the power supply, the electrically actuated component has electrical power supplied thereto and is in an energized state. When the first electrical connector is engaged with the first anchoring support, the electrical device is releasably fixed to the glazing. Connecting the power supply to the first anchoring support and the second electrical connector causes the electrically actuated component to switch from an unenergized state to the energized state. Mounting arrangements and vehicle lights to be mounted to a component of the structure of a vehicle are also described.
