VEHICLE VISUAL ELEMENTS
A vehicle visual element includes a substrate defining a lamp cavity. A light source is positioned within the lamp cavity which is configured to emit light. A film defining at least one of a holographic and a diffraction grating is disposed over the lamp cavity.
VEHICLE DISPLAY DEVICE
A vehicle display device includes a liquid crystal display unit, a temperature sensor that detects a temperature of the liquid crystal display unit, another ECU that acquires vehicle information including a detection result of an external temperature sensor, a heater that heats the liquid crystal display unit, and a microcontroller. The microcontroller controls a heater drive circuit such that the heater is driven at a predetermined first electric power level in cases in which an external temperature at or below 0 C. has been detected by an external temperature sensor and a smart key has been detected by a smart key detector, and such that the heater is driven at a second electric power level greater than the first electric power level in cases in which a door has been opened or a door lock has been unlocked and a temperature at or below 5 C. has been detected by the temperature sensor.
Vehicle systems and methods
A vehicle includes an interior cabin and a plurality of modular docking stations fixedly disposed in the interior cabin. Each modular docking station is configured to removably receive one or more modular components. The one or more modular components interchangeably connect to the plurality of modular docking stations to enable relocation of each modular component of the one or more modular components in a desired modular docking station of the plurality of docking stations.

Component for vehicle interior
A component for a vehicle interior may comprise a light guide to allow light transmission from a light source for a user interface, and a cover to cover the light guide. The user interface may be presented at the cover. The cover may comprise a depression in an inner surface of the cover and the light guide may comprise a projection comprising a light-transmissive resin fit within the depression. The projection may comprise an icon to be presented at the user interface when illuminated, and to be hidden by the cover when not illuminated. The user interface may comprise a light display and an input device connected to a sensor. The icon may comprise an image. The cover thickness may be greater than the projection height. The component may comprise a steering wheel, console, floor console, center console, instrument panel, door panel, dashboard, display, armrest, or cockpit.

MODULAR FLEXIBLE LIGHT BAR
Light bars, and lighting systems and vehicles that include light bars. The light bars include a plurality of light emitting modules coupled together at flexible joints to allow a single light bar to be affixed to surfaces of varying curvatures, such as an interior window surface of a vehicle. The size of the light bar is easily customizable due to its modular nature. In some examples, a controller or other electronic element is adapted to detect a number and/or configuration of modules in a given light bar.
LIGHTING DEVICE
A lighting device includes a first light source portion, a light guide that includes a light guide body with an elongated shape, guides light incident from the first light source portion in a longitudinal direction of the elongated shape, and emits a first light including the guided light to illuminate an illuminated object, and a second light source portion that emits a second light to illuminate the illuminated object. The second light source portion is provided independently of the first light source portion and the light guide.

Illuminated vehicle cup holder with grating film
A vehicle cup holder includes a console substrate defining a well for receiving cup; a light source provided within a lamp cavity positioned below the well; a film provided between the well and the lamp cavity, such film defining a grating for projecting a desired image when illuminated by the light source.
