Cleaning device with tail swab
A cleaning device with tail swab having a plurality of soft elongated strips.
Apparatus and methods for lubricating devices introduced into a body of a patient
Apparatus and methods are provided for lubricating a medical device, such as a colonoscope, being introduced into a patient's body. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a housing including a proximal surface, a distal surface, a channel extending between the proximal and distal surfaces; and a lubricant within an interior of the housing surrounding the channel such that a scope or other device inserted through the channel receives lubricant on its outer surface before introduction into a patient's body.
Medical cleaning valve
A medical valve may comprise a valve stem and an operation portion. The operation portion may include a stationary portion, a movable portion which is movable relative to the stationary portion and fixed relative to the valve stem, a seal disposed between the stationary portion and the movable portion, and a biasing member. Movement of the movable portion in a first direction may cause deformation of the biasing member, such that a restorative force of the biasing member urges movement of the movable portion in a second direction opposite the first direction. A frictional force between the seal and one of the stationary portion and the movable portion resists the movement of the movable portion in the second direction.
Detachable endoscope
A detachable endoscope includes an insertion unit including an illuminating and image pickup unit, an operation unit configured to bendingly operate a front end of the insertion unit, and a detachable unit configured to detachably couple the insertion unit and the operation unit to each other, wherein the detachable unit comprises: a first detachable module disposed at the insertion unit in such a manner as to be connected to respective one ends of first and second operating wire and third and fourth operating wires juxtaposedly arranged in the insertion unit; and a second detachable module disposed at the operation unit in such a manner as to be connected to respective both ends of upper and lower chains wound around upper and lower sprockets of the operation unit.
Devices and systems for use in laparoscopic surgery
An access device for a minimally invasive procedure can include a port body defining an instrument channel for a medical instrument, a radial extension extending at least partially outward from the body in a radial direction. The radial extension can extend from a distal end of the port body. The radial extension can define an imaging device cavity defined therein spaced from the port body and opening distally from the radial extension. The imaging device cavity can be configured to receive an imaging device therein for providing images within a field of view that is at least partially distal of the port body.
VISUAL LARYNGEAL MASK
The present invention provides an improved visual laryngeal mask comprising a tube, an end of the tube is provided with a fixing seat. The fixing seat is provided with an airbag, and the fixing seat has a recess which is provided with an airway opening. An imaging cavity extends longitudinally inside an inner wall of the tube. The imaging cavity has a built-in imaging device, and the imaging cavity protrudes forward relative to the airway opening to form a stopper which prevents an epiglottis from blocking the imaging device. A front end of the stopper is concaved to form a recess, and an opening of the imaging cavity is located at a low point of the recess.
ULTRAFINE NEEDLE ENDOSCOPE APPARATUS FOR DEEP INTERSTITIAL EXAMINATION BY WHITE LIGHT IMAGING, AUTOFLUORESCENCE IMAGING AND RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY
Endoscope apparatuses for generating at least one image of a portion of an object are described herein. The endoscope apparatus includes an ultrafine needle adapted for insertion into the object; a fiber probe that is slidably disposed in the ultrafine needle, the fiber probe including a plurality of optical fibers or cores that act as illumination optical fibers and collection optical fibers; an optical assembly that is coupled to the fiber probe, the optical assembly including: at least one transmission optical pathway to provide at least one excitation light signal to the portion of the object to be imaged during use; and at least one return optical pathway that is adapted to transmit reflected light signals from the portion of the object when it is illuminated during use with at least one sensor for generating at least one image via at least one set of optical elements.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THERMAL MANAGEMENT OF IMAGING DEVICES
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for thermal management of an imaging device that is placed within a body of an individual during a medical procedure or a surgical procedure. In an aspect, the present disclosure provides an imaging device configured for use in a medical procedure or a surgical procedure while the imaging device is within a body of an individual undergoing the medical procedure or the surgical procedure. The imaging device may comprise a coating on at least a portion of an exterior of the imaging device, wherein the coating comprises a high thermal emissivity. The imaging device may comprise a set of thermal fins disposed on an exterior of the imaging device. The imaging device may comprise an endoscope.
Colon cleaning devices and methods
There is provided a colon cleaning device comprising: a tube through which liquid and fecal matter are removed from a colon of a patient, the tube having a longitudinal axis; a cleaning head positioned at the distal end of the tube, the cleaning head having at least one opening coaxial with the longitudinal axis, the at least one opening sized for fecal matter to enter the interior of the cleaning head from the colon; at least one disassembly element disposed within the cleaning head; and an actuating mechanism which actuates the disassembly element to perform sweeping displacement inside the cleaning head so that the at least one disassembly element rotates around the longitudinal axis to slice through the fecal matter; wherein the cleaning head and the tube are sized and shaped to be displaced along the colon of a patient.
