OPENING AND CLOSING UNIT AND ENDOSCOPE AND ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM INCLUDING THE SAME
An opening and closing unit includes a body that has a first hollow part penetrating through both ends thereof and an opening part communicating the first hollow part with an outside, and an opening and closing part that is inserted into the first hollow part to selectively open and close the opening part, has second hollow part formed therein, and has a through hole communicating with the second hollow part on one side thereof.
Medical device inspection system
A medical device inspection system may include a base, a medical device holder on the base, a fiber scope holder on the base, a moveable roller moveably attached to the base such that it is free to rotate around an axis and move from a first position to a second position along the base, and a feeder coupled with the base for feeding a flexible portion of the fiber scope into a lumen of the medical device. During use, the flexible portion of the fiber scope may extend from the handle, around the moveable roller, and through the feeder to enter an opening in the lumen of the medical device.
Rigid endoscope cover and endoscope unit
A cover 20 for covering a circumferential portion of an outer circumferential surface of a rigid endoscope 10 having an observation window portion 14 provided at a tip thereof includes a flexible outer cover member 22 covering the circumferential portion of the circumferential surface of the rigid endoscope 10 and a tubular member 26, provided inside the outer cover member 22, through which a cleaning fluid to be supplied from a base end of the rigid endoscope 10 to the observation window portion 14 of the rigid endoscope 10 flows inside, and the outer cover member 22 is attached to the outer circumference surface of the rigid endoscope 10 by flexing the outer cover member 22.
METHOD FOR RECONDITIONING AN ENDOSCOPE IN A RECONDITIONING APPARATUS, AND RECONDITIONING APPARATUS
A reconditioning apparatus for an endoscope including a controller configured to: supply an interior of the endoscope with a fluid at a predefined pressure; supply one or more channels of the endoscope and an exterior of the endoscope with a rinsing liquid to carry out a reconditioning process using the rinsing liquid; concurrently with the supplying of the rinsing liquid, determine a temperature and a pressure in the interior of the endoscope during the reconditioning process; and when the determined pressure decreases lower than a predetermined pressure: identify the endoscope as not defective, when the decrease in the determined pressure is preceded by a corresponding decrease in the determined temperature, and identify the endoscope as defective, when the decrease in the determined pressure is not preceded by a corresponding decrease in the determined temperature.
Information processing method, information processing device, and information processing system
A device, system, and method that: acquires information that a sterilized endoscope, having reusable and non-reusable parts, is used; outputs an instruction for collecting the used endoscope from a medical institution; acquires information on the number of endoscopes scheduled for inspection, a predetermined number of endoscopes not scheduled for inspection, and the number of endoscopes in an endoscope inventory; outputs an instruction for delivering a non-used replaceable endoscope to the institution in response to the collection instruction; and outputs an instruction for delivering a non-used endoscope to the institution when equation (2) is not satisfied, equation (2) being: endoscope inventory quantity>number of endoscopes scheduled for inspection+predetermined number.
Multi-shield spinal access system
An access device for accessing an intervertebral disc having an outer shield comprising an access shield with a larger diameter (˜16-30 mm) that reaches from the skin down to the facet line, with an inner shield having a second smaller diameter (˜5-12 mm) extending past the access shield and reaches down to the disc level. This combines the benefits of the direct visual microsurgical/mini open approaches and the percutaneous, “ultra-MIS” techniques.
ENDOSCOPE, ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM, AND OPERATION METHOD OF ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM
An endoscope includes an insertion section, a channel, a raising base and a sterilizing device. The insertion section includes a distal end portion, and the distal end portion includes a recess. The channel is disposed in the insertion section, the channel communicating with the recess and the channel configured to receive a treatment instrument. The raising base is disposed in the recess, the raising base configured to guide the treatment instrument to protrude from the recess. The sterilizing device is disposed in the distal end portion, the sterilizing device configured to sterilize one or more of the channel and the recess and the raising base.
Digital-based medical devices
A skin measuring microscope includes a housing, an electronic imager disposed along an imaging axis, and an illumination system. The illumination system includes a plurality of LEDs disposed in a ring-like configuration adjacent a distal end of the housing.
Remote pathogen eradication
A method and device for the remote eradication of pathogens comprising a light source for emitting UV light in the pathogen killing wave length range, and a tangible transmission medium, which is at least initially resistant to degradation by the UV light. An optical interface between the UV light source and the tangible transmission medium is provided whereby the emitted UV light is collected from the light source and transmitted through the tangible transmission medium, whereby UV light emitted from the tangible transmission medium and directed against a pathogen in proximity thereto is at a power level sufficient to substantially effectively kill the pathogen within a reasonable period of time. The device is used for sanitization of biopsy channels of endoscopes and for treating of pathogens within humans and animals.
