There is provided a vehicular illumination device to be disposed on a ceiling portion in a vehicle passenger compartment includes: a left-row light source unit in which three or more light sources arranged side by side in a front-rear direction of the vehicle is disposed on a left side of a center in a width direction of the vehicle: and a right-row light source unit in which three or more light sources arranged in the front-rear direction of the vehicle is disposed on a right side of the center in the width direction of the vehicle. Optical paths of the light sources are set to be placed in a state where a light irradiation region of the left-row light source unit and a light irradiation region of the right-row light source unit partially overlap with each other on a floor surface in the vehicle passenger compartment.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENHANCING IN-CABIN SLEEP EXPERIENCE IN VEHICLE

Systems and methods for enhancing in-cabin sleeping experience within a vehicle are provided. The method includes determining whether a first occupant, e.g., a passenger, within the vehicle is asleep based on data captured of an interior of the vehicle, e.g., via one or more cameras within the vehicle. The method further includes informing a second occupant, e.g., a driver, within the vehicle that the first occupant is asleep, and adjusting an interior cabin parameter to accommodate the first occupant. The method further may include adjusting the interior cabin parameter to wake up the first occupant when the vehicle is a predetermined time or distance from a target destination. Moreover, the method may include classifying the first occupant such that the inter cabin parameter is adjusted to accommodate the first occupant based on the classification of the first occupant.

INTERFACES AND TECHNIQUES FOR COST EFFECTIVE CONTROL OF LIGHT EMITTING DIODES IN A VEHICLE

A control circuit may be configured to control light emitting diode (LED) driver circuits. The control circuit may be configured to generate a multicast of pixel intensity values based on data in memory or data received from a data source, and output the multicast on an interface, which may comprise a one-wire uni-directional interface. In some examples, a plurality of drivers may receive the multicast, and each of the plurality of drivers may drive different sets of LEDs based on the multicast.
