Ear ailment diagnostic device and method
An ear ailment diagnostic device generally comprises a pair of earpieces, which both further comprise a light source, a magnification lens, an air conduction channel and a miniature camera. The earpieces may optionally comprise a thermometer and/or tympanometer. Each earpiece is coupled to an air conduction tube, an insufflator and an electrical wiring/data tube which is coupled to a computer. The insufflator may be manually, electronically, or battery powered. In the preferred embodiment the computer comprises a smart phone with data processing capability and wireless communication capability. Any data sent from the device can then be interpreted and diagnosed in a remote location so that an accurate treatment is prescribed.
Apparatus and method for providing improved health care
A system for acquiring physiological data from a patient, the system comprising: a smartphone configured for wireless communication; an adapter for releasably mounting to the smartphone; a sensor module for releasably mounting to the adapter, the sensor module comprising at least one sensor for acquiring physiological data from the patient; and a software app running on the smartphone for (i) wirelessly controlling operation of the sensor module and wirelessly receiving the physiological data from the sensor module, and (ii) wirelessly communicating with a remote location.

Systems and methods for treating hearing loss
Systems and methods can be employed for trans-tympanic membrane access to the middle ear for delivery of a therapeutic agent, for example, to the round window niche adjacent to the cochlea under direct visualization. The systems and methods can also be used to improve accessibility and visualization for various otological surgical procedures, such as, but not limited to, cholesteatoma removal, tympanic membrane repair and ossicular chain repair.

DEVICE FOR INTRODUCING A SEAL INTO AN EAR AND A METHOD FOR REPAIRING A TYMPANIC MEMBRANE
The present invention relates to a device for repair of a region within an ear via a natural orifice, the device comprising a body. The body comprises a first port for visibly identifying the region to be sealed, the region being inside the ear; and a second port through which a seal can be introduced into the ear through the device. The region comprises a perforation of a tympanic membrane of the ear and the device is a speculum. The present invention also relates to method for repairing a perforation in a tympanic membrane using the same device.
