Vehicle exterior door handle system with light module
A vehicular lighted exterior door handle system includes a lighted exterior door handle assembly and a light module disposed at the door handle assembly. The light module includes at least three illumination sources linearly arranged at a circuit board and individually operable to emit light. With the door handle assembly mounted at a door of a vehicle, the individual illumination sources are operated responsive to a user input that is actuatable by a driver of the vehicle to activate a turn signal indicator system of the vehicle. With the door handle assembly mounted at the door of the vehicle, and when the illumination sources are operated to emit light responsive to actuation of the user input, an operation sequence of the individual illumination sources is varied between at least a first operation sequence and a second operation sequence based at least in part on movement of the vehicle.
Projection apparatus and control method
The invention provides a projection apparatus configured to be disposed on a vehicle door, and a control method of the projection apparatus. The projection apparatus includes an illumination source, a projection display apparatus and a controller. The illumination source is configured to provide an illumination beam. The projection display apparatus is disposed on a transmission path of the illumination beam, and is configured to convert the illumination beam into a projection beam. The controller is coupled to the projection display apparatus. The controller determines whether the vehicle door is a first vehicle door or a second vehicle door according to an opening operation of the vehicle door, and correspondingly causes the projection beam to display an image.
Puddle lamp
A puddle lamp including a light source composed of a single light emitting body, a lens set, a projection film with a fixed image and a projection lens is provided. The lens set is disposed at a light path downstream side of the light source. The projection film is disposed at a light path downstream side of the lens set. The lens is disposed at a light path downstream side of the projection film. An optical axis of the light source is substantially parallel to an optical axis of the lens set, and an optical axis of the projection lens is not perpendicular to an image plane of the puddle lamp. Furthermore, another puddle lamp is also provided.
Method and Device for Performing a Welcoming Illumination
The present invention relates to a method and a device for performing a welcoming illumination in a motor vehicle. Therefore, the problem addressed by the present invention is that of providing a method and a device that allow a welcoming illumination which seems human. According to the invention, a method for performing a welcoming illumination by means of the headlights of a motor vehicle is proposed, each headlight having a pivotable illumination module, the shape of which illumination modules imitates human eyes at least when the illumination modules are illuminated, the method comprising the following steps: —defining an authorization zone having a predefinable radius around the motor vehicle; —registering whether at least one authorized user is within the authorization zone; —starting a first illumination sequence of the welcoming illumination, in which first illumination sequence the illumination modules pivot, with respect to a vehicle coordinate system, from an idle position directed downward to a horizontally oriented driving position; —determining the position of the authorized user within the authorization zone with respect to the vehicle coordinate system; —starting a second illumination sequence of the welcoming illumination, in which second illumination sequence the illumination modules first pivot toward the registered authorized user and subsequently pivot back to the driving position oriented horizontally and forward.
Lighting apparatus for vehicle and control method thereof
A control method of a lighting apparatus for a vehicle may include: sensing, by a sensing unit, a distance between the vehicle and a pedestrian; determining, by a control unit, whether the distance between the vehicle and the pedestrian falls within a first distance; determining, by the control unit, a walking direction of the pedestrian when the distance between the vehicle and the pedestrian falls within the first distance; and indicating, by the control unit, the walking direction to the pedestrian by operating a plurality of flap units.
Automotive lighting device
The invention provides an automotive lighting device with a circuit support, an optics support, a holder support and a microlenses support. The optics support includes optical elements, each one being arranged in front of one of the solid-state light sources of the printed circuit board. The optics support further includes positioning protrusions configured to fit the positioning housings of the circuit support. The holder support includes a plurality of opaque walls, a first coupler and a second coupler. Each opaque wall is located between two optical elements. The microlenses support includes a plurality of groups of microlenses, each group having a plurality of microlenses arranged to receive the light projected by one optical elements. The first coupler is configured to couple the holder support to the circuit support. The second coupler is intended to retain the microlenses support.
External cladding component of or for a vehicle and vehicle comprising such an external cladding component
An external cladding component of or for a vehicle, by which information can be displayed, is disclosed. The cladding component has a base body with a first surface and a second surface, the second surface facing to the exterior of the cladding component, and an aperture running through the base body, and a light source providing a beam of light, wherein the light source is at least partially arranged within the aperture and protrudes the second surface, or the beam of light is running through the aperture, wherein the beam of light at least partially impinges on an illumination section provided by the second surface.
Automotive lamp
Multiple light sources are arranged in an array. A light guide member receives light emitted from the multiple light sources on its back face, and outputs the light thus received from its front face. The light guide member has a base portion such that its back face faces the multiple light sources and such that it extends in the array direction of the multiple light sources. Multiple back-face protrusions and multiple front-face protrusions are formed such that they protrude from the back face and the front face of the base portion. The front-face protrusion has multiple continuous faces in the circumferential direction along the front face of the base portion.
Integrated guidance system of vehicle and method for controlling the same
An integrated guidance system of a vehicle, may include a sensor configured to collect vehicle information of the vehicle; a lamp configured to selectively light a point including a door or a seat in an internal space of the vehicle when emitting the light; a projector configured to display guidance information on a projection surface of the internal space of the vehicle; and a controller connected to the sensor, the lamp and the projector and configured to control whether the lamp emits the light and the lighting point according to the vehicle information, generate the guidance information for guiding a passenger of the vehicle, and provide the guidance information to the projector, and a method for controlling the same.
ILLUMINATION-BASED ASSISTANCE DURING EXTRAVEHICULAR ACTIVITY
A device is configured to provide assistance during extravehicular activity. The device obtains and operates on first data indicative of one or more objects in a detection space. The device is configured to process the first data for determination of one or more properties for the object(s); evaluate, based on the one or more properties, the object(s) in relation to a set of rules to determine one or more user instructions, and cause an illumination arrangement to provide the one or more user instructions by selective projection of the light in relation to the one or more objects. The device thereby reduces the reliance on cognitive processing by user(s) to take decisions on how to proceed in a situation, and instead the cognitive processing of information about the surroundings in relation to the task at hand is offloaded to the device.
