SELF-CONTAINED PROXIMITY SENSORS IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION WITH VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHODS OF THEIR OPERATION
Proximity sensors, e.g., Bluetooth? sensors, are installed in a vehicle. Each sensor determines/estimates approximate distance from itself to a user mobile device. In response to the distance increasing above a predetermined distance departure limit, as the sensors communicate to a vehicle control system (VCS) through Bluetooth? or similar links, the VCS causes predetermined departure actions to be performed, such as locking the doors, turning off headlights, activating the vehicle's security system, and/or others. In response to the distance decreasing below a predetermined distance arrival limit, as the sensors communicate to the VCS through the link(s), the VCS causes predetermined arrival actions to be performed, such as unlocking the doors, flashing the headlights, beeping the horn, deactivating the security system, and/or others. Hysteresis may be applied to the decisions whether to perform the departure/arrival actions.
MOTOR VEHICLE COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE ILLUMINATION DEVICE AND AT LEAST ONE ACOUSTIC DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE
The present disclosure relates to a motor vehicle comprising at least one illumination device, by means of which at least one light signal can be generated which is visible from outside the motor vehicle, and comprising at least one acoustic device, by means of which at least one acoustic signal can be generated which is audible from outside the motor vehicle. The at least one control device of the motor vehicle is configured to check whether at least one output condition is satisfied and, if the at least one output condition is satisfied, to control the at least one illumination device and the at least one acoustic device in such a way that the light signal and the acoustic signal are generated simultaneously. The at least one output condition is at least one get-in or get-out condition relating to a current start-up and/or turn-off situation of the motor vehicle, the satisfaction of which condition depends on at least one control and/or sensor signal which can be generated by means of a system and/or sensor of the motor vehicle relating to the start-up and/or turn-off process of the motor vehicle, and/or at least one maneuver condition relating to a current or imminent reversing or acceleration maneuver of the motor vehicle, the satisfaction of which condition depends on at least one control signal which can be generated by means of a driver assistance system of the motor vehicle and/or on at least one operating signal which can be generated by a user by means of at least one operating device of the motor vehicle, and/or at least one driving state condition relating to a current operating situation of the motor vehicle, the satisfaction of which condition depends on at least one control signal which can be generated by means of the or a driver assistance system of the motor vehicle.

Display system suitable for vehicle and method for operating same
A display system suitable for a vehicle is provided. The display system suitable for the vehicle includes a center console, a processing device, and a display device. The center console is configured to generate a power sequence according to a customization setting, and the power sequence corresponds to content of a data table. The processing device is configured to receive the power sequence and decodes the power sequence through a lookup table to generate a decoding result. The lookup table includes the content of the data table. The display device is coupled to the processing device and is configured to display a display image according to the decoding result.
CAMERA BASED HANDS-FREE POWER LIFT GATE
A method and system for a camera based hands free power liftgate is described herein. The system may power on following a key approach and/or the doors unlocking and then initialize. If there is an approach detected, the lights may be activated and the gesture detection feature of the system may then determine whether a gesture was detected. If a gesture was detected, the liftgate may then be activated. If no gesture was detected, the lights may be activated. For example, if there is a key approach, the system may power and initialize. The system may then determine whether an approach is detected. If an approach is detected, lights of the vehicle may activate and a determination whether a gesture is detected is made. If a gesture is detected, a liftgate of the vehicle may be activated.
VEHICLE PUDDLE LAMP ASSEMBLY
A vehicle puddle lamp assembly is provided herein. The vehicle puddle lamp assembly includes a housing having a housing retainer. A light source is supported by the housing. A cover is removably coupled to a base portion of the housing. An optical member is disposed between the housing and the cover. The optical member may include an image filter thereon. The image filter is configured to form a desired image pattern on a surface proximate the housing.

The cavity is separated from the channel by the first portion. The first and second portions have varied opacities. A light guide is disposed within the cavity. A light source is operably coupled with the light guide.
Illuminable composite pane
A composite pane is presented. The composite pane includes an outer pane and an inner pane that are bonded to each other via an intermediate layer. The composite pane further includes a light-diffusing glass fiber that is suitable for emitting light by diffusion via its side wall along its extension length. According to one aspect, the glass fiber is arranged, in sections, between the intermediate layer and the outer pane, and is arranged, in sections, between the intermediate layer and the inner pane. According to another aspect, the glass fiber is routed through an opening in the intermediate layer.
Lamp device
A lamp device includes a light source, a slide and a projection lens assembly. The light source generates an illumination beam, and the slide is disposed in a light path of the illumination beam. The slide has a profile image layer and a gradient layer, and the profile image layer and the gradient layer are disposed on two opposite sides of the slide. The profile image layer converts the illumination beam into profile image light without gradients, and the gradient layer converts the illumination beam into gradient light. The projection lens assembly receives and projects the gradient light and the profile image light.
Viewing device for vehicle
In a door mirror device for a vehicle, a projector protrudes out toward a lower side from a circuit board, and the projector projects a pattern onto a ground surface. Moreover, illuminating LEDs and guide bodies are fixed to a lower surface of the circuit board. Due to the illuminating LEDs generating lights and the guide bodies guiding these lights, the guide bodies irradiate the lights from lower ends, and the ground surface is illuminated. Here, the lower ends of the guide bodies are disposed further toward a lower side than the projector. Therefore, shadows, which are due to the projector, arising in lights that illuminate the ground surface can be suppressed.
