MULTIFUNCTION LAMP UNIT AND REAR VIEW DEVICE THEREWITH
A multifunctional lamp unit includes a side turn indicator including a housing for at least one light conductor with at least one illuminant, and a projection unit. A rearview device including the multifunctional lamp unit, a method of operating the rearview device, and a vehicle including the rearview device are also described.
Lighting device with organic light emitting diode
A lighting device for motor vehicles designed to emit light in a main direction of emission. The lighting device has at least one vane mounted with the ability to move in the lighting device, the vane having a panel on which at least one area light source is arranged.
Machine learning systems and techniques to optimize teleoperation and/or planner decisions
A system, an apparatus or a process may be configured to implement an application that applies artificial intelligence and/or machine-learning techniques to predict an optimal course of action (or a subset of courses of action) for an autonomous vehicle system (e.g., one or more of a planner of an autonomous vehicle, a simulator, or a teleoperator) to undertake based on suboptimal autonomous vehicle performance and/or changes in detected sensor data (e.g., new buildings, landmarks, potholes, etc.). The application may determine a subset of trajectories based on a number of decisions and interactions when resolving an anomaly due to an event or condition. The application may use aggregated sensor data from multiple autonomous vehicles to assist in identifying events or conditions that might affect travel (e.g., using semantic scene classification). An optimal subset of trajectories may be formed based on recommendations responsive to semantic changes (e.g., road construction).
VEHICLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY
A light assembly is provided herein. The light assembly includes a pair of light assemblies disposed on opposing sides of a rear portion of a vehicle. Each light assembly includes a housing and a lens. A light source is disposed in the housing and is configured to create a first predefined illumination pattern. A controller is configured to selectively activate the first illumination pattern from one of the pair of housings corresponding to a direction of a vehicle steering wheel rotation.
Vehicle puddle lamp assembly generating moving image and method
A vehicle puddle lamp assembly is provided that includes a plurality of light projectors located on a vehicle and configured to illuminate different lighted image patterns on a ground surface adjacent to the vehicle. The vehicle puddle lamp assembly includes a controller for sequentially activating the plurality of light projectors to generate an animated lighted image on the ground surface. The animated image moves in a location based on a door position.
Rearview mirror assembly for vehicle
A mirror reflective element assembly for a vehicle includes an electrically variable reflectance mirror reflective element that includes front and rear substrates with an electrochromic medium disposed therebetween and bounded by a perimeter seal. A perimeter layer is disposed at a second surface of the front substrate proximate a perimeter edge of the front substrate that conceals the perimeter seal from view by a driver of a vehicle. At least a portion of the mirror reflector extends from under the perimeter seal outward towards at least a portion of the perimeter edge of the rear substrate. The mirror reflective element includes a more curved outboard region and a less curved inboard region. A laser-etched demarcation may demarcate the more curved outboard region of the mirror reflective element from the less curved inboard region of the mirror reflective element.
AUTOMOTIVE LAMP CONTROL
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for configuring automotive lamp illumination control are provided. One example method includes, at a computing device, generating a graphical user interface for configuring at an automotive lamp illumination pattern. The graphical user interface includes user input elements and is displayed by way of a display device. An input command is received by way of at least one of the plurality of user input elements. The input command corresponds to the at least one of the user input elements. A message is transmitted to an automotive lamp control device by way of a communication path including a first communication port of the computing device and a second communication port of the automotive lamp control device, based on the received input command. The message is received at the automotive lamp control device, and an action is performed in response to receiving the message.
AUTONOMOUS SECURITY DRONE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A drone aircraft for personal assistance or protection. When a driver's car is located in a parking lot at night, the driver can summon a drone stored in the vehicle which flies to the driver and leads the driver to the vehicle by projecting a spot of light onto the ground. The drone makes a video recording of events occurring at this time and transmits the recording to a remote storage location.
Installation device
In a camera device, light is emitted from a turn lamp, a caution lamp, and a welcome lamp. Here, the turn lamp, the caution lamp, and the welcome lamp are provided in a lamp unit. Thus, it is possible to reduce a space between the turn lamp, the caution lamp, and the welcome lamp and reduce the arrangement space of the turn lamp, the caution lamp, and the welcome lamp.
Surroundings illumination device for a motor vehicle
A surroundings illumination device for illuminating the ground in the surroundings of a motor vehicle contains a controller for controlling the illumination of the ground and a projection module which includes a light device having a plurality of illuminants and an array of projection optics, a respective projection optic containing an associated object structure and an associated projection lens. The array of projection optics includes a plurality of sub-arrays which can be separately illuminated with an illuminant of the light device allocated to the respective sub-array, as a result of which, a partial graphic is generated on the ground in the surroundings of the vehicle by projection of the associated object structures of the projection optics of the respective sub-array.
