Apparatus and method to visually communicate with a vehicle
A visual communication apparatus affixed to a vehicle. The visual communication apparatus includes a smart key system that detects a key fob of a user within a keyless detection zone, a projector projecting visual indications on a projecting zone lying on a ground surface of the vehicle, a sensor optically capturing gestures of the user of the vehicle, and an electrical control unit capable of actuated key elements of the vehicle. The visual indications include passive visual indications requiring no activation from the user and active visual indications requiring activations from the user. The activations are performed by gestures of the user on the active visual indications.
ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY FOR ILLUMINATING A TARGET AREA MARKING A DETECTION AREA OF A SENSOR
An electronic assembly for a motor vehicle includes a housing, a control and evaluation device disposed in the housing which is adapted to be coupled to a control device of the motor vehicle and an illumination device coupled to the control and evaluation device. The illumination device is adapted to be actuated by the control and evaluation device. A target area characterizing a detection area outside of the housing can be marked by an optical signal. The illumination device is adapted to be activated by the control and evaluation device for emitting light with different colors.
Vehicle light system
A vehicle having a trim housing disposed on the vehicle and partially concealing a latch is provided herein. A light projector is disposed within the trim housing and is configured to illuminate a lighted image pattern on a surface of the vehicle. The image pattern is configured to provide assistance in locating a switch.
System and method for preventing interactions between vehicle and moving object
The disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for preventing doored interactions between a vehicle and moving object. According to one or more embodiments, a method for a vehicle includes detecting that a moving object is approaching the vehicle when the vehicle is stationary, detect that a moving object is approaching the vehicle when the vehicle is stationary, provide an alert within the vehicle of the approaching moving object, prevent an actuation of a door latch from opening a door of the vehicle, and provide a visual alert to notify an operator of the moving object that an occupant of the vehicle is attempting to open the door of the vehicle.
Vehicle illumination system
A vehicle is provided which includes a first panel defining a vent and a second panel positioned proximate the first panel. A lighting assembly is positioned within the vent including a first plurality and a second plurality of light sources. A heat sink is thermally coupled with the first and second plurality of light sources. An optical member is optically coupled to the first and second plurality of light sources. A photoluminescent structure is positioned on the second panel.
LIGHTING DEVICE WITH ORGANIC LIGHT EMITTING DIODE
A lighting device for motor vehicles designed to emit light in a main direction of emission. The lighting device has at least one vane mounted with the ability to move in the lighting device, the vane having a panel on which at least one area light source is arranged.
LIGHTING DEVICE WITH MOBILE VANE
A device for motor vehicle designed to emit light in a main direction of emission (X). The lighting device has at least one mount fixedly mounted in the lighting device, at least one vane, the vane being articulated to the mount and having a panel on which is arranged at least one light source suited to emitting light in a favored direction of radiation (Y), and an actuating device suited to causing the vane to pivot with respect to the mount between a rest position and an emission position in which the favored direction of radiation (Y) of the vane is close to the main direction of emission (X) or corresponds more or less to the main direction of emission (X) of the lighting device.
Vehicle exterior mirror system
An exterior mirror system for a vehicle includes an exterior mirror assembly having a folding portion and a non-folding portion configured for mounting at a side of a vehicle. A reflective element is disposed at the folding portion. The reflective element is mounted to a backing plate that is supported by an electrical actuator operable to move the reflective element. The exterior mirror assembly includes an indicator having at least one light emitting diode that emits an intensity of light when electrically operated. During low ambient lighting conditions at night, the intensity of light emitted by the at least one light emitting diode of the indicator is reduced under photosensor control to a nighttime intensity level. The nighttime intensity level is greater than about 0.3 candela and is less than about 200 candelas. The indicator may include a module and the module may be substantially water impervious.
Wheel well step assembly of vehicle
A step assembly of a vehicle is provided herein. A step pad is pivotally coupled to a quarter panel of the vehicle and is movable between a stowed position and deployed position. At least one light source is provided in the step pad and the step pad transmits light emitted by the at least one light source in an outward direction.
Vehicle rear illumination
A vehicle is presented that includes a lift gate operably connected to a body, a cargo lamp configured to emit light positioned near a rear of the body, a first luminescent structure disposed on a lift gate sill of the body, and a second luminescent structure disposed on an interior side of the lift gate. The first and second luminescent structures are configured to interact with the light from the cargo lamp.
