VIEWING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
20170334345 · 2017-11-23 ·

In a door mirror device for a vehicle, a projector protrudes out toward a lower side from a circuit board, and the projector projects a pattern onto a ground surface. Moreover, illuminating LEDs and guide bodies are fixed to a lower surface of the circuit board. Due to the illuminating LEDs generating lights and the guide bodies guiding these lights, the guide bodies irradiate the lights from lower ends, and the ground surface is illuminated. Here, the lower ends of the guide bodies are disposed further toward a lower side than the projector. Therefore, shadows, which are due to the projector, arising in lights that illuminate the ground surface can be suppressed.

To provide a lamp unit in which rattling of a light-emitting element is prevented, a lamp unit includes: a holder member attached to an attachment object, a base board provided with a light-emitting element coupled on a main surface thereof; a retaining member that engages the holder member to sandwich the base board between the retaining member and the holder member such that the base board is retained at a prescribed position on the holder member; and a cover member that is at least partially light-transmissive and is attached to the holder member such that the cover member cooperates with the holder member to define a housing chamber for housing the base board and the retaining member.

VEHICLE LIGHTING ASSEMBLY

A vehicle is provided herein. The vehicle includes a panel having a light-producing assembly including a plurality of light sources arranged therein and attached to the panel. A photoluminescent structure is disposed on the light-producing assembly and is configured to luminesce in response to excitation by the plurality of light sources. A vehicle sensor is configured to initiate an illumination sequence of the plurality of light sources based on a change in vehicular movement. A controller for illuminates the plurality of light sources based on predefined events when an electronic device is disposed proximately to the vehicle and is in communication with the controller.

DYNAMIC LOGO PROJECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME

A system for dynamically projecting a logo onto a surface includes a light source, moveable lenses, and an actuator. The light source emits light toward the surface. The lenses are positioned with between the light source and the surface, with each lens having multiple transparent portions configured to permit some of the emitted light to pass through the lens in a corresponding light pattern. Each corresponding light pattern forms a different part of the logo. The actuator moves the lenses with respect to the emitted light in response to a control signal to thereby cause projection of the logo onto the surface. A vehicle includes a body having a door, road wheels in contact with a road surface, and the system which projects the logo onto the road surface proximate the door. The controller may be programmed to execute a method for projecting the logo.

Vehicle body structure

A vehicle body structure includes a first surface, a closure panel, an interactive display panel and a controller. The first surface has a first edge extending along an exterior portion of a vehicle and a second edge opposite the first edge extending along an interior portion of the vehicle. The first surface at least partially defines a door opening. The closure panel is movably coupled for movement between an open position exposing the first surface and a closed position covering the first surface such that a closure panel surface overlays the first surface. The interactive display panel is disposed along the first surface and is covered by the closure panel with the closure panel in the closed position and is exposed with the closure panel in the open position. The controller is in communication with the interactive display to display user inputted data on the interactive display panel.

Visible light manipulating emblem for a vehicle

An emblem for a vehicle comprises: (a) a light source configured to emit visible light; (b) a cover assembly disposed over the light source, the cover assembly having an inner surface, an outer surface, and a transparent portion that is transparent to the visible light, the visible light being incident to the inner surface, and the visible light that the light source emits transmitting through the transparent portion out of the outer surface to an external environment beyond the emblem; and (c) one or more surface relief patterns disposed on the cover assembly, the one or more surface relief patterns configured to manipulate (i) the visible light that the light source emits, (ii) visible light from the external environment, or (iii) both (i) and (ii).
