Methods for harvesting corn using combine harvesters
A method for producing seed corn from the corn plants, for use in growing subsequent corn plants, includes measuring a moisture content of corn kernels on ears of the corn plants in the field and removing, by a combine harvester, the ears of corn from the corn plants when the moisture content satisfies a threshold moisture content. The method then includes separating the corn kernels from cobs of the ears of corn onboard the combine harvester and collecting the separated corn kernels for use as seed corn, whereby one or more subsequent corn plants can be grown from the collected corn kernels.
AGRICULTURAL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING FEEDER THROUGHPUT OF A HARVESTER
An agricultural system for monitoring throughput of a feeder configured for use with a harvester performing a harvesting operation within a field includes a feeder housing and a feed assembly supported within the feeder housing, with the feed assembly directing a flow of harvested materials through the feeder, and with the feed assembly including a plurality of carriers spaced apart and driven about a loop. Moreover, the agricultural system includes a sensor configured to generate data indicative of the flow of harvested materials through the feeder. Additionally, the agricultural system includes a computing system communicatively coupled to the sensor, with the computing system being configured to monitor the flow of harvested materials based at least in part on the data generated by the sensor and a position of the plurality of carriers relative to the sensor.
Grain elevator paddle for combine harvester
A paddle for a grain elevator of a combine harvester includes a plate and a leg. The plate is configured to be coupled to a chain at a first location on the chain. The plate has a top side for carrying grain, a bottom side opposite the top side, and a lip that extends along a perimeter of the top side of the plate for retaining the grain on the top side. The leg extends from a bottom side of the plate for releasably contacting the chain at a second location that is spaced from the first location.

Feeder Having Lateral Tilt for an Agricultural Harvesting Combine
Disclosed is a lifting assembly for a crop severing assembly forwardly carried by a tractor having a frame and front a frame and an axle assembly carrying front wheel assemblies. The crop severing assembly has a forward end and a rear end, and includes a pair of bracket assemblies located at the forward end and atop the crop severing assembly. A pair of lift cylinder assemblies each have a lower end and a top end. The lift cylinder lower ends are located at either side of the rear end of the crop severing assembly to bottom brackets extending from the tractor frame forward of the tractor axle assembly and are attached between each cylinder lower end and each cylinder top end to trunnions carried by the crop severing bracket assemblies for pivotally raising and lowering of the forward end of the crop severing assembly.

Cover plate for a clean grain auger in a cleaning system of an agricultural harvester
An agricultural harvester includes a chassis, a threshing system carried by the chassis, and a cleaning system carried by the chassis and positioned below the threshing system. The cleaning system includes one or more sieves, a clean grain auger positioned below at least one sieve, and a cover plate positioned above the clean grain auger. The cover plate has a front edge and a rear edge which each extend generally parallel to a lateral axis of the clean grain auger. The front edge and rear edge are each open to allow clean grain to pass therebelow to the clean grain auger.

MULTI-FAN AGRICULTURAL HARVESTER CLEANING SYSTEM
A cleaning system for an agricultural harvester includes a first and second cleaning systems. A plurality of fans of a substantially similar diameter are fluidically coupled to the first and second cleaning systems. A controller generates and sends control signals to the fans to control the speeds of the fans.
Grain Pan for a Combine Harvester
A grain pan for a combine harvester comprises a plurality of grain pan members with a closed surface grain contacting surface adapted to engage the harvested crop. More than one of the grain pan members are grain pan members comprising a first connection element and a second connection element, the first connection element being adapted to effectuate a detachable connection with the second connection element of another grain pan body member and vice versa. The grain pan members are detachably connected to each other, one behind the other via their respective first and second connection elements, in a direction substantially parallel to the main direction of grain transportation.
