Dynamic lighting apparatus and method
The present disclosure relates to a method for selectively highlighting visual zones associated with a vehicle. A point of origin and a gaze direction of a vehicle occupant are determined and a virtual projection plotted corresponding to the gaze of the vehicle occupant. The virtual projection extends from the determined point of origin in a direction of the determined gaze direction. With reference to a three-dimensional model comprising a plurality of pre-defined areas of interest, an intersection of the virtual projection with one of the plurality of areas of interest is identified. The method comprises controlling an illumination source that is associated with the determined one of said plurality of areas of interest so as to highlight a visual zone associated with the vehicle.
System and method for remote activation of vehicle lighting
A lighting system for a vehicle is disclosed. The system comprises a controller in communication with at least one light source and an occupancy sensor. The controller is configured to control an activation emission output from the light source configured to charge a persistent luminescent portion. The controller is further configured to detect an occupancy of the vehicle and charge the luminescent portion by periodically outputting the activation emission. The controller determines the periodicity of the output based on the occupancy.
Light-emitting part for vehicle
A light-emitting part for a vehicle having a light-emitting region is described. The light-emitting part includes an irradiation body which i) includes a dot-shaped light source and a planar plate-shaped light guide body that emits light from the dot-shaped light source, and ii) emits the light toward a front side of the light-emitting region. The light-emitting part includes a curved plate-shaped transmissive body disposed so that the light emitted from the irradiation body is transmitted through the curved plate-shaped transmissive body. The curved plate-shaped transmissive body includes portions which are separated from the planar plate-shaped light guide body by different gaps. Also included is a surface brightness adjusting portion which adjusts a brightness of an outer surface of the light-emitting region in response to a size of the gap and a distance from the dot-shaped light source.
Vehicle interior lighting system
A vehicle comprising a body defining a passenger compartment. The body has a roof and a plurality of support pillars extending proximate to the roof and a plurality of lighting zones comprising a plurality of lighting devices located in an upper portion of the body proximate to the roof and the plurality of support pillars. A user input is configured to allow for the selection of the lighting zones, a color of light output and an intensity of the light output, and a controller responsive to the user input to control the lighting zones to illuminate light in a selected lighting zone at the selected intensity and color with the selected intensity and color.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VEHICLE CONTROL INTEGRATING HEALTH PRIORITY ALERTS OF VEHICLE OCCUPANTS
A method for vehicle control includes receiving data associated with one or more wearable computing devices. Each of the one or more wearable computing devices are associated with one or more vehicle occupants in the vehicle. The method includes determining a health state of each of the one or more vehicle occupants based on the data and determining a location relative to the vehicle of each of the one or more vehicle occupants based on the data. The method includes controlling one or more vehicle systems based on the health state of each of the one or more vehicle occupants and the location relative to the vehicle of each of the one or more vehicle occupants.
VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR ILLUMINATING A PASSENGER COMPARTMENT OF A VEHICLE WITH DISTRIBUTED AMBIENT LIGHTS
A method for illuminating a passenger compartment of a vehicle with lighting devices which each contain one or more diffuse and/or indirect light sources. The intensity and color of the light emitted by the light sources being set automatically as a function of specific operating parameters which are influenced by a vehicle occupant. The lighting devices which are respectively spatially assigned to an area of the passenger compartment of the vehicle in which there is a vehicle component with an operating parameter which can be set separately by the driver and which can act on a general operating mode selected by the driver, are actuated in such a way that their intensity and color indicate to the driver whether the current setting of the separately settable operating parameter has a positive or negative effect on the general operating mode selected by the driver.
IN-VEHICLE PRODUCTION LIGHTING SYSTEM
An in-vehicle production lighting system includes: an acceleration sensor configured to detect an acceleration of a vehicle; light emitters arranged at a prescribed position in a cabin of the vehicle and capable of changing light intensity and light color in a prescribed lighting pattern; and a controller configured to generate or select the prescribed lighting pattern depending on a detection result obtained by the acceleration sensor and control the light emitters.
System and method for vehicle control integrating health priority alerts of vehicle occupants
A method for vehicle control includes receiving physiological data from one or more wearable computing devices, where each of the one or more wearable computing devices is associated with one or more vehicle occupants in the vehicle, and determining a health state of the one or more vehicle occupants based on the physiological data. The health state describing a current condition of each of the one or more vehicle occupants. The method includes determining a priority level for the health state of each of the one or more vehicle occupants. Further, the method includes controlling one or more vehicle systems of the vehicle based on the health state of each of the one or more vehicle occupants and according to the priority level of the health state of each of the one or more vehicle occupants.
Rotating garment hook
A multi-purpose assembly for a vehicle is disclosed. The assembly comprises a rotational assembly comprising a first surface rotationally interchangeable with a second surface. The assembly further comprises a housing configured to pivotally engage the rotational assembly. The first surface comprises a hanger and the second surface comprises a task light.
LIGHTING DEVICE INDICATING A CONFIGURATION STATE OF A VEHICLE SEAT
Lighting device indicating a configuration state of a seat of a motor vehicle, the lighting device being arranged to illuminate at least one part of the seat as a function of at least one datum relating to the configuration state of this at least one part of a seat relative to a configuration instruction for a given user.
