RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS REMOVAL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A raised pavement markers removal vehicle system and method for the removal of raised pavement markers from a roadway. As the vehicle is driven along a roadway, a grinder unit alongside the forward portion of the vehicle grinds away the raised pavement markers to be removed. A sensing unit senses the relative lateral positions of the grinder unit and the upcoming raised pavement markers to be removed. A controller receives position information from the sensing unit and sends appropriate commands to an alignment adjuster to match the lateral position of the grinder unit to the lateral position of the upcoming pavement markers to be removed. After removal by grinding, the debris from the removed raised pavement markers is swept from the roadway into a sweeper-hopper unit for transport to a suitable unloading place. A warning board mounted at the rear of the sweeper-hopper unit provides a visual warning to other users of the road.
METHOD TO INCREASE THE SAFETY FOR PEOPLE AROUND VEHICLES
A method of increasing awareness of vehicles and pedestrians passing by a vehicle. The method embodies a vehicular signage system incorporating a signage indicia and lighting movable between a low-profile position and one or a plurality of high-profile positions as well as a downward-emitting roadway light incorporated in the vehicular signage system. The vehicular signage system is placed along an upper portion of said vehicle to increase the awareness of drivers of other vehicles through the visibility of the signage indicia and lighting as well as the downward-emitting roadway light that illuminates the workspace along the road or ground.
Method for operating a self-traveling floor treatment apparatus
A method for operating a floor treatment apparatus that travels by itself within an environment, wherein a control and evaluation unit monitors the operating status of the floor treatment apparatus, detects an error condition of the floor treatment apparatus and initiates the output of an information signal in case an error condition occurs. In order to locate the floor treatment apparatus in a particularly simple and convenient fashion during an error condition, it is proposed that an optical signal output device of the floor treatment apparatus emits an optical information signal, which generates a light projection that represents a directional indicator, wherein the directional indicator points from a projection site within the environment in the direction of the current position of the floor treatment apparatus.
WORKSITE CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A worksite classification system and method for classifying persons at a worksite is disclosed. The worksite classification system can include a sensor system configured to capture images of persons located at the worksite. An electronic data processor communicatively coupled to the sensor system and comprising a computer readable storage medium having machine readable instructions that, when executed by the electronic data processor, cause the processor to: determine an identity of the persons based on one or more identifying characteristics associated with the persons; determine if the persons have authorization access to enter to one or more operational zones at the worksite based on the identity of the persons and an associated access level; and generate an alert notifying an operator when persons without authorization access enters the one or more operational zones.
TFT LCD automobile light fixture
A light bar has a circuit board positioned within a housing and having a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) or a thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display (TFT LCD) is configured to transmit light. The housing has wiring electrically connected to a controller. The controller is configured to receive signals from the electrical system of the vehicle, interpret the signals received from the electrical system of the vehicle, and in response automatically control illumination of independently controllable segments of the vehicle light bar. The controller is initially programmed to perform specific function(s) and/or strobe according to specific patterns and is thereafter at least partially restricted from being reprogrammed by a user to serve other function(s), either by restricting the emission of light in at least one color and/or preventing specific strobing pattern(s).
ROAD WORKING MACHINE WITH EGRESS LIGHTING SYSTEM
A road working machine includes an operator's station that is adapted to be occupied by an operator of the road working machine. The road working machine also includes a controller and a safety light circuit that is operatively attached to the controller. The safety light circuit includes a plurality of downwardly directed safety lights that are located so as to provide lighted egress from the operator's station.
ASPHALT RECEIVING VEHICLE WITH GUIDANCE LIGHTS FOR SUPPLY TRUCKS
An asphalt receiving vehicle includes a receiving hopper that is adapted to receive a load of asphalt paving material from a supply truck, and a conveyor that is adapted to convey the asphalt paving material received from the supply truck out of the receiving hopper. A plurality of guidance lights are mounted on the asphalt receiving vehicle so as to illuminate the roadway adjacent to the receiving hopper to provide a landing pattern to assist a driver of the supply truck to properly maneuver the supply truck as the supply truck is backed into position adjacent the receiving hopper. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the plurality of guidance lights may also be used individually as directional signals.
PORTABLE LIGHT TOWER
A portable apparatus for mounting lights is described. The portable apparatus may include an attachment frame configured to removably mount to and be supported by a 3-point hitch connection of a tractor, a generally vertical main post having an upper end and a lower end, where a lower portion of the main post is rigidly coupled to the attachment frame, and a generally horizontal mounting beam rigidly coupled to the upper end of the main post at a center portion of the beam, and where the mounting beam includes a plurality of vertical light mounting bars, where each light mounting bar is coupled to the mounting beam.
Safe driving assistance device
A safe driving assistance device includes a region setting section that sets a collision risk determination region used for determining presence or absence of a collision risk of a host vehicle, and a determination section that determines a collision risk between the host vehicle and another vehicle using a host vehicle collision risk determination region, another vehicle collision risk determination region, and environment data. The host vehicle collision risk determination region of the host vehicle is set based on travel data of the host vehicle, a vehicle specification of the host vehicle, and the environment data obtained by the host vehicle. The other vehicle collision risk determination region is obtained by a vehicle-to-vehicle communication device. The other vehicle collision risk determination region is the collision risk determination region of the other vehicle as a collision risk determination target with the host vehicle set by the other vehicle.
Light System, Method of Forming Tunnels of Light, a Mobile 360° Light System, and a Method of Cleaning the Mobile 360° Light System
A light system comprising: (a) a plurality of light sources connected to a vehicle and creating light that radiates away from the vehicle so that the light substantially surrounds the vehicle; and (b) one or more sensors that detect light from another light source; and wherein one or more of the plurality of light sources are turned off in a direction of the another light source while some of the plurality of light sources remain on so that a tunnel having a reduction or absence of light is formed in the direction of the another light source between the plurality of light sources that remain on.
