HOLOGRAPHIC DISPLAY SYSTEM
20230051631 · 2023-02-16 ·

A display system for a vehicle includes a display unit mounted to the vehicle and is selectively operable in a first mode as a holographic display and in a second mode as a mirror. Holographic images may include rear view images obtained from a camera or computer generated graphics. Holographic images are displayed at a virtual image plane behind the display to reduce the operator's eyes accommodation.

Aesthetic display unit for a vehicle

A method for providing one or more of a rear or a side view of a vehicle includes generating a video stream of images subsequently captured by at least one camera of the vehicle or of a virtual mirror device of the vehicle, processing the generated video stream, and displaying the generated video stream on at least one screen of a display unit of the vehicle or of the virtual mirror device.

Turn signal lamp for outside mirror

A turn signal lamp for an outside mirror is disclosed. The turn signal lamp comprises a lens and a light source module coupled to one side of the lens. The light source module includes a printed circuit board (PCB), a PCB assembly including a light emitting diode (LED) disposed on the PCB to output light, and a light source module case configured to accommodate the PCB assembly in an internal space. The light source module case includes a recess formed horizontally along a circumference of a surface of the light source module case. The lens includes a lens protrusion in which a part of the lens protrudes in a shape corresponding to the recess. The lens protrusion is inserted into the recess to come into close contact with a front surface of the recess, so that the light source module and the lens are coupled to each other.

Enhanced pointing angle validation

Devices, systems, and methods are provided for enhanced pointing angle validation. A device may generate a collimated beam using a light source emitting a light beam through a fiducial target in an optical instrument. The device may capture an image fiducial target using a camera, wherein the camera is mounted on a mounting datum that is orthogonal to the collimated beam. The device may determine a pointing angle associated with camera based on the captured image of the fiducial target. The device may compare a location of the fiducial target in the image to an optical center of the camera. The device may determine a validation status of camera based on the location of the fiducial target in the image.

Active outside rear view device enclosure

An active outside rear view system for a vehicle includes a support structure mounted to an exterior surface of the vehicle. A rear view device is movably affixed to the support structure. A linkage extends from a first end to a second end, where the first end of the linkage is movably affixed to an aerodynamic enclosure and the second end of the linkage is movably affixed to the support structure. An actuator is engaged with the linkage and moves the aerodynamic enclosure between at least a first position and a second position different from the first position. The aerodynamic enclosure is independently movable relative to the rear view device and the support structure. The aerodynamic first position and the second position provide differing aerodynamic characteristics to the active outside rear view system.
