A movable link arrangement for an active exterior component on a vehicle. The movable link arrangement has several links that are connected together and rotate about a composite bushing. The composite bushing has a body with an aperture formed there through. The body is formed of a continuous fiber and resin material that circumscribes an inner layer of friction reducing material that forms a bore through the body of the composite bushing. A rotatable pin is positioned through that aperture of the body and extends through the bore so that the rotatable pin is in contact with the inner layer. The composite bushing with the friction reducing material provides reduced noise and eliminates unwanted corrosion that occurs when other bushing materials are used.

Each base of a pair of bases is coupled to a respective one of each back corner of a pair of back corners. A pair of hinges of a plurality of hinges is coupled to a respective one of each of the bases. A folding support of a pair of folding supports is coupled to a respective one of the pair of hinges of the plurality of hinges. Each of the folding supports has an aperture and a hook. The aperture is circular and provides a space where a bolt can be inserted through to secure to a recreational vehicle stairs. The hook attaches to the recreational vehicle stairs to provide stability to the frame.

TECHNIQUES FOR ADJUSTING VEHICLE RUNNING BOARD POSITION

A motor vehicle according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a running board assembly including a deck, and a linkage assembly configured to guide movement of the deck. The vehicle further includes a motor configured to move the linkage assembly to adjust a position of the deck, and a sensor configured to obtain information indicative of activity adjacent an exterior of the motor vehicle. Additionally, the vehicle includes a controller configured to interpret the information from the sensor to determine a length of at least a portion of a leg of a person. The controller is configured to instruct the motor to adjust the position of the deck based on the determined length.
