SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR COLLECTING AND SCREENING OF PANCREATIC SECRETIONS
Disclosed here are systems and methods for collecting and/or screening of a pancreatic secretion, using a capsule endoscope comprising an imaging system and a trypsin sensor, and a tether coupled to the capsule endoscope.
Medical devices for use along the biliary and/or pancreatic tract
Medical devices and method for making and using the same are disclosed. An example medical device may include implantable medical device for use along the biliary and/or pancreatic tract. The implantable medical device may include a tubular member having a first end configured to be disposed within the duodenum of a patient and a second end configured to be disposed adjacent to a pancreatic duct and/or bile duct. The tubular member may have a body including one or more wire filaments that are woven together. The tubular member may also have an outer surface with a longitudinal channel formed therein.

Endoscopy system
According to the present invention, there is provided an endoscopy system comprising an endoscope guide and an endoscope. The endoscope of the system comprises a proximal end and a distal end. The endoscope guide of the system comprises a proximal end, a mid-section comprising at least one endoscope entry port, a distal end comprising at least one endoscope exit port, a lumen capable of receiving an endoscope extending from the at least one entry port to the at least one exit port and at least one bend located between the at least one entry port and the at least one exit port. The endoscope guide is capable of directing the insertion of the distal end of the endoscope into a body cavity when the distal end of the endoscope exits the endoscope exit port and the distal end of the endoscope guide is also configured so as to be capable to be retained within the body cavity during a surgical procedure so as to control the positioning of the distal end of the endoscope within the body cavity.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANIPULATING THE SIDE WALL OF A BODY LUMEN OR BODY CAVITY SO AS TO PROVIDE INCREASED VISUALIZATION OF THE SAME AND/OR INCREASED ACCESS TO THE SAME, AND/OR FOR STABILIZING INSTRUMENTS RELATIVE TO THE SAME
Apparatus for accessing a body lumen or a body cavity, the apparatus comprising: a hollow shaft having a proximal end, a distal end and a lumen extending from the proximal end to the distal end, wherein the lumen of the hollow shaft is configured to receive an endoscope, and further wherein the distal end of the hollow shaft comprises an adjustable portion which is configured to be articulated between (i) a straight configuration in which the adjustable portion is parallel to a longitudinal axis of the hollow shaft, and (ii) an angled configuration in which the adjustable portion is disposed at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the hollow shaft, whereby to bend the endoscope disposed within the lumen of the hollow shaft; a sleeve having a proximal end, a distal end and a lumen extending from the proximal end to the distal end, wherein the lumen of the sleeve is configured to receive the hollow shaft and the endoscope disposed therein; an aft balloon mounted to the sleeve; a pair of push tubes slidably mounted to the sleeve; and a fore balloon mounted to the distal ends of the pair of push tubes, such that the fore balloon can be moved relative to the aft balloon.
DIAGNOSTIC ASSISTANCE METHOD, DIAGNOSTIC ASSISTANCE SYSTEM, DIAGNOSTIC ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING THEREIN DIAGNOSTIC ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR DISEASE BASED ON ENDOSCOPIC IMAGE OF DIGESTIVE ORGAN
A diagnostic assistance method for a disease based on an endoscopic image of a digestive organ with use of a convolutional neural network (CNN) trains the CNN using a first endoscopic image of the digestive organ and at least one final diagnosis result of the positivity or the negativity for the disease in the digestive organ, or information corresponding to a severity level, the final diagnosis result being corresponding to the first endoscopic image, and the trained CNN outputs at least one of a probability of the positivity and/or the negativity for the disease in the digestive organ, a severity level of the disease, or a probability corresponding to the invasion depth (infiltration depth) of the disease, based on a second endoscopic image of the digestive organ.
Instrument for accessing and visualizing hollow organs
An instrument for accessing and visualizing hollow organs is provided. The instrument includes a mouthpiece having a perforated mask and a sleeve having a generally cylindrical or ovoid shape extending from the perforated mask substantially perpendicularly thereto and defining a channel. The instrument further includes sucking means having a suction chamber or closed volume that is restrained to the mask on the side where the sleeve is formed. The suction chamber has a plurality of through openings adapted to allow fluid communication with a surrounding environment, an intake opening communicating with the suction chamber formed on the mask, wherein the through openings are formed on the skirt of a dome-shaped member which delimits the suction chamber.
DEVICES, METHODS, AND SYSTEMS FOR ACQUIRING MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION AND PROVISION OF TELEHEALTH SERVICES
The invention relates generally to various systems, tools and methods for acquiring diagnostic information, including medical information, for a user, transmitting the information to a remote location, assessing the information, and transmitting resulting diagnosis and treatment information to the user and/or a third party for subsequent action. The present invention provides consumer and user-friendly telemedicine systems and procedures which enable health services and/or diagnosis to be provided at a distance remotely.

METHOD OF AUTOMATIC IMAGE FREEZING OF DIGESTIVE ENDOSCOPY
A method of automatic image freezing of digestive endoscopy based on a perceptual hash algorithm includes: analyzing a video streaming of digestive endoscopy acquired by digestive endoscopy imaging system into image data; calculating a similarity between an image at t point in time and images of first n frames, to obtain a weighted similarity k of the image; and comparing the weighted similarity k of the image at t point in time with a freezing boundary l, and triggering an instruction of image freezing when the k reaches l to obtain the clear images with the best visual field from the video streaming of digestive endoscopy.
