AUTOMOBILE CONSTRUCTION WITH AIRPLANE REPRESENTATIVE FEATURES
An automobile with a construct and components with an appearance of an airplane. The back seats, and optionally the front seats, are bench style, with armrests that may be rotated out of position and located at opposing sides of the seat when the seat is a two-person bench. For a three-person bench, there are intermediate armrests. The airplane-type seats include headrests integrated into the seat rather than being extendible from the top of the seat. The bench seat is removably affixed to an underlying support substrate, which may be substantially hollow and arranged to enable access to storage within the support substrate. The interior of the automobile of the present invention includes controllable lighting and air located above the passenger's head, either directly or to the side above a window. An instrument and control panel that supplies the driver with information and control expected for an automobile is configured with the appearance and content of an instrument and control panel a pilot would expect to see in an airplane. Controls are positioned sufficiently close to the driver to be accessed and employed as needed. Wheels of the automobile of the present invention are designed to give the appearance of the stators or rotors of an airplane jet engine.
Unitary housing for electronic device
An electronic device having a unitary housing is disclosed. The device can include a first housing component having an open cavity, an internal electronic part disposed within the cavity, a second housing component disposed across the cavity, and a support feature disposed within the cavity and arranged to support the second housing component. The first housing component can be formed from metal, while the second housing component can be formed from a plurality of laminated foil metal layers. The second housing component can be attached to the first housing component via one or more ultrasonic welds, such that a fully enclosed housing is created. The fully enclosed housing can be hermetically sealed, and the outside surfaces thereof can be machined or otherwise finished after the ultrasonic welding.

System and method for controlling moving console of self-driving vehicle
Disclosed is a system and method for controlling a moving console. When a seat of a vehicle is moved forwards or rearwards, a console is automatically moved to a usable position adjacent to the seat, whereby it is possible for a passenger on the seat to conveniently use the console. In addition, when the seat is swiveled, the console is automatically moved to a position at which interference between the console and the seat is avoidable, whereby the seat is swiveled smoothly.

Component tray assembly for vehicles
A component tray assembly for a vehicle. For example, the component tray assembly may be installed between a body of the vehicle and a seat bulkhead of the vehicle. The component tray assembly may include at least a component shelf, a cover disposed over the component shelf, and one or more components. In some examples, the component shelf includes three openings and the one or more components include three speakers respectively disposed within the openings. The component shelf may further include notches located proximate to the side of the component shelf where the component shelf attaches to the seat bulkhead. The positions and shapes of the openings and the notches may create a weakened region of the component shelf that is configured to deform the component tray assembly during a collision. By deforming, the component tray assembly is configured to minimize the amount of force that is imparted to the seat.

VEHICLE SEAT BACKREST AND ASSOCIATED MANUFACTURING METHOD
A vehicle seat backrest having a body, a cover layer designed to be placed at the back of the body and covering at least a portion of the body, a storage apparatus defining a storage volume over a portion of the cover layer, and a fixation device for attaching the storage apparatus onto the cover layer. The fixation device includes at least one fixation support and at least one pin. The cover layer is overmolded onto the at least one fixation support. The at least one pin mates with the at least one fixation support and the storage apparatus so as to attach the storage apparatus to the cover layer.
Vehicle interior component
A track system for providing a movable component in a vehicle interior may comprise a track assembly comprising a track for the movable component and a base comprising a chassis for the movable component to be movable along the track. The track assembly may comprise a track cover. The chassis may move the track cover to uncover the track under the chassis. The track cover may comprise a front section, a rear section and a middle section. The front section and the rear section may cover the track. The chassis may comprise a ramp configured to raise the front section as the chassis moves in a forward direction. The middle section may extend below the front section, the rear section and the chassis. The track cover may slide along a pulley between the front section and the middle section.
Passenger seat with comfort layout
A passenger seat (10) with a sitting area (40), a side ottoman (42), an open space (44) that may be enclosed via use of a bed extension (50), and a backrest (14). The backrest may be divided into an upper portion and a lower portion. The seat may also be provided with one or more storage areas and/or a side console.
