Applicator for a speculum accessory sleeve and use thereof
An applicator for positioning a sleeve accessory on a medical speculum, and a method for using the applicator, is provided. The applicator has a flat, oblong shape with a distal end and a proximal end, the proximal end being broader than the distal end. The distal end of the applicator includes a first prong and a second prong. At least a portion of the distal end of the applicator is configured to slide into a lumen of a sleeve accessory to facilitate positioning of the sleeve accessory on a medical speculum.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING VAGINAL LACERATIONS DURING CHILDBIRTH
A vaginal dilation device is provided that may include any of a number of features. One feature of the vaginal dilation device is that it is configured to dilate vaginal tissue during labor to prevent tissue damage. Another feature of the vaginal dilation device is that it can be manually controlled to dilate vaginal tissue, or can be automatically controlled to dilate vaginal tissue. In some embodiments, the vaginal dilation device is configured to measure a force applied by the device to tissue. In other embodiments, the vaginal dilation device is configured to apply a constant force to tissue. In other embodiments, the vaginal dilation device is configured to expand at a constant rate. Methods associated with use of the vaginal dilation device are also provided.

SCREENING APPARATUS USING MULTI-CHANNEL ARRAY ELECTRODE PROBE AND METHOD OF OPERATING SCREENING APPARATUS
Disclosed are a screening apparatus using a multi-channel array electrode probe and a method of operating the screening apparatus, wherein the screening apparatus includes a probe inserted into the inside of the human body and including a plurality of electrodes in contact with any one portion of the inside and an endoscope camera for photographing the portion; a location identifier for identifying a location in contact with the electrodes in an image photographed by the endoscope camera; an electrical property measuring device for measuring the electrical properties of the identified location; a mapping processor for mapping the measured electrical properties to an electrical model for the internal tissue; and a visualization information generator for, based on the mapping results, generating visualization information for visualization of the degree of deformation of the tissue with respect to the measured electrical properties.
INTEGRATION OF ROBOTIC ARMS WITH SURGICAL PROBES
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide improved methods and apparatus for coupling a probe to an instrument device manipulator (e.g., robotic arm). In some embodiments, a probe, which may be carried by a handpiece, is configured to couple to the end of a device manipulator of a robotic arm. A transmission can be provided that is configured to couple to the probe and also couple to the instrument device manipulator. The transmission can be configured to receive motion input from the instrument device manipulator and transfer the motion input into motion of the probe. The transmission can provide improved movement of the probe. By decreasing the number of components on the handpiece and probe, the handpiece and probe can be provided as a sterile, single use consumable device and the transmission can be reused.
CANNULA STABILIZER FOR EMBRYO TRANSFER
The embryo transfer cannula stabilizer is a device attached to a vaginal speculum, which allows the sliding, placement, and secure fixing of a cannula to perform an embryo transfer. The embryo transfer cannula stabilizer prevents fine movement of the user's hand to reduce tremor at the intracervical level and avoid injury to the cervical canal, rupture of blood vessels, and the production of detritus.
Medical devices and methods of placement
The present invention provides medical devices comprising at least one visualization device sealed to, attached to or otherwise combined with at least one of the following second devices: an oral airway, ventilating mask, urinary catheter, trocar, a tool tube, and a medical glove. The present invention also provides methods for rapid and accurate placement of a medical device in a patient and continuous real time monitoring, including a remote monitoring, of the patient after the placement.

ENDOSCOPE WITH A MULTIPLE DIAMETER WORKING SECTION
An endoscope having a multiple diameter working section is disclosed. The endoscope includes a housing, a working section, and a rod-lens optical system. The housing is at a proximal end of the endoscope. The working section is integral with and extends from the housing. The working section includes at least a first section and a second section. The first section is contiguous to the housing, and the second section is at a distal end of the endoscope. The rod-lens optical system is positioned at least partially in the first section of the working section and at least partially in the second section of the working section. The endoscope is defined such that the outer diameter of the first section is larger than the outer diameter of the second section.
