DISPLAY DEVICE

A light guide body in a display device includes a first incident surface on which an image light is incident, and a second emission surface from which the image light is emitted. The light guide body includes a second emission optical element that diffracts the image light to emit a portion of the image light at a predetermined emission angle every time the image light enters the second emission optical element from a predetermined direction. The image light is diverged by being emitted from the second emission optical element such that the predetermined emission angle varies in accordance with a location in one predetermined region included in a plurality of predetermined regions of the optical element. The degree of divergence varies between the one predetermined region and other predetermined region included in the plurality of predetermined regions in accordance with the location of the virtual image.

DISPLAY CONTROL APPARATUS, DISPLAY CONTROL SYSTEM, AND DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD

The present disclosure facilitates providing a display control apparatus, a display control system, and a display control method. The display control apparatus includes: a first OS that controls execution of a first application for generating a first display image displayed on a first display apparatus mounted on a vehicle; a second OS that controls execution of a second application for generating a second display image displayed on a second display apparatus mounted on the vehicle; and a hypervisor that is executed on a processor and controls execution of the first OS and the second OS.

PUSH-BUTTON ACTUATED REAR LATCH HOOK MECHANISM

An apparatus for mounting within a vehicle, an object having at least one receptacle in a first main surface. The apparatus comprises a base having a mounting surface. A latch and a frame are movable between latched and unlatched positions and are biased toward the latched position by a first biasing element. One or more push buttons are movable between extended and depressed positions and are biased toward the extended position by a second biasing element. A lower portion of the push button blocks and allows movement of the frame toward the latched position when the push button is in the extended and depressed position, respectively. The first main surface pushes the push button to the depressed position, thereby enabling the first biasing element to move the latch and the frame to the latched position, in which the latch engages with the at least one receptacle.

A display and an adjustment device are included in a display adjustment system for an instrument panel of a vehicle. The adjustment device adjusts the display from an original position in the instrument panel into a central position in a passenger compartment of the vehicle. The adjustment device moves the display from the original position of the display in the instrument panel along a central longitudinal axis of the vehicle in the direction of a rear part of the vehicle and transversely with respect to the longitudinal central axis of the vehicle in the direction of a driver's seat so that the display is adjusted into the central position in the passenger compartment of the vehicle.

VIRTUAL IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE AND DISPLAY SYSTEM

A virtual image display device includes: a switching mechanism for switching a position of a view angle including a first position and a second position; and a display control unit for displaying the virtual image in response to a switching of the position of the view angle by the switching mechanism. When the display control unit displays a specific content within the view angle at the second position after the switching mechanism switches the view angle from the first position to the second position, the display control unit starts displaying a related content preliminarily associated with the specific content before the switching of the view angle to the second position is completed.

DISPLAY APPARATUS AND VEHICLE INCLUDING THE SAME

A display apparatus includes: a first sub-pixel having a parallelogram shape including a first side extending in a first direction and a first width in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction; a second sub-pixel having a parallelogram shape including a second side extending in the first direction and a second width in the second direction; a third sub-pixel having a parallelogram shape including a third side extending in the first direction and a third width in the second direction; and a plurality of light-blocking lines extending in the first direction and spaced apart from each other with a first distance in the second direction, wherein each of the first width, the second width, and the third width is an integer multiple of the first distance.

VEHICLE MOUNTED VIRTUAL VISOR SYSTEM WITH OPTIMIZED BLOCKER PATTERN
20230009396 · 2023-01-12 ·

A virtual visor system is disclosed that includes a visor having a plurality of independently operable pixels that are selectively operated with a variable opacity. A camera captures images of the face of a driver or other passenger and, based on the captured images, a controller operates the visor to automatically and selectively darken a limited portion thereof to block the sun or other illumination source from striking the eyes of the driver, while leaving the remainder of the visor transparent. The virtual visor system advantageously updates the optical state with blocker patterns that including padding in excess of what is strictly necessary to block the sunlight. This padding advantageously provides robustness against errors, allows for a more relaxed response time, and minimizes frequent small changes to the position of the blocker in the optical state of the visor.

Clamping mount for vehicle dashboard

A removable mounting device configured for mounting accessories to an air vent in a vehicle and methods for installing such a mounting device. The mounting device includes a coupler disposed on a front plate that has a profile sized such that the front plate will overlay a frame surrounding an air vent in the vehicle; and a back plate configured to clamp the frame to the front plate. An elastomeric compression strip is disposed in a groove in a back side of the front plate, and the elastomeric compression strip has a non-uniform thickness including a thicker portion in a region of the groove adjacent to an end of the groove and thinner portions in regions of the groove not adjacent to the end of the groove.
