COLLAPSIBLE FOLDING TRUCK TRUNK
A collapsible trunk for use with a vehicle having a wheel well. The trunk comprises a base wall and a side wall pivotally connected thereto. The side wall extends from the base wall and terminates at an upper edge. The side wall and base wall collectively define a storage cavity. The base wall and the side wall each have an expandable portion conformable to the wheel well in response to placement of the base wall and the side wall over the wheel well. The trunk is selectively transitional between a collapsed configuration and a deployed configuration. In the collapsed configuration, the base panels overlap each other, and in the deployed configuration, the plurality of base panels are co-planar to each other. The upper edge of the side wall moves away from the base wall as the trunk transitions from the collapsed configuration toward the deployed configuration.
EASY-TO-CLEAN STORAGE DEVICE FOR A CHARGING CABLE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A storage device (20) is provided for a charging cable that can charge an electrically drivable motor vehicle. The motor vehicle has a trunk (10) with side wall (16). A recess (22) for receiving the charging cable is formed in the side wall (16) and a receiving unit (24) is fastened detachably in the recess (22). The receiving unit (24) can be moved from a closed position, in which the receiving unit (24) is received in the recess (22), to an open position, in which the receiving unit (24) is positioned at least partially out of the recess (22). A receiving opening (26) of the receiving unit (24) is covered by the side wall (16) in the closed position and is accessible for the charging cable in the open position. The separate and detachable receiving unit (24) permits simple storing of a charging cable in an easy-to-clean storage device (20).
Storage or Tool box lift assembly for an automobile tow hitch receiver
A frame that plugs into the tow hitch receiver of a vehicle that has two pivot arms used for the raising of a storage/tool box onto the frame for transport or lowered for placing the storage/tool box on the ground surface shared by the vehicle, at which point the storage/tool box can be disconnected from the frame and later re-attached for lifting and transport. The aforementioned pivot arms of the frame can be activated into motion via a driving force such as but not limited to a gas strut, hydraulics, cable or other means for pivoting the arms in the process of lifting a storage/tool box onto the connected frame for transport, or lowering a storage/tool box for disconnection after transport.
Storage system for a vehicle and interior compartment of a vehicle having same
A storage system for a tire repair kit for a vehicle can be located at the front end of a rear cargo space of the vehicle. The storage system can include a front panel and a lid. The front panel can be located at the front end of the rear cargo space and include an outer surface facing the rear cargo space and a storage space recessed from the outer surface. The storage space can be configured to contain the tire repair kit. The lid can be connected to the front panel such that the lid is selectively placed in a closed state and an opened state, the lid conceals the storage space from the rear cargo space when the lid is in the closed state, and the storage space is opened to the rear cargo space when the lid is in opened state.
