DECORATIVE COMPONENT FOR VEHICLE
A garnish includes a heating element, a base member, and a circuit board. The heating element is configured by stacking first and second sheet materials and interposing a heater wire in between. The circuit board includes a power source line and is fixed to a back surface of the base member. The heating element includes a main body portion and an extending portion. The extending portion includes a power source connection portion for connecting the heater wire to the power source line and extends to the back surface of the base member. The main body portion of the heating element is fixed to a laying surface of the base member by fixing the second sheet material to the base member. The heater wire is exposed in the power source connection portion without stacking the second sheet material on the first sheet material.
MASCOT RETRACTION MECHANISM
A mascot retraction mechanism has a support (6) movably mounted to a track (5) for movement between a mascot deployed position and a mascot stowed position. A drive mechanism (7, 34, 35) may be arranged to drive the support along the track via a releasable latch (30). The releasable latch may be released by tilting of a mascot able to enable the support to move along the track free of the drive mechanism.
MASCOT RETRACTION MECHANISM
A mascot retraction mechanism has a mascot base 10 with a non-circular outline shape which extends over and conceals a contact area with a substantially circular edge. A support 6 comprising a support surface 22 is biased into contact with the contact area of the mascot base permitting the mascot base to pivot relative to the support about the substantially circular edge. Such pivoting may operate a release mechanism causing retraction of a mascot.

Radar transparent decorative plate for the front grille of a motor vehicle, of the monobloc type with a first layer of PMMA transparent to light, like a smooth lens with decorative elements in relief on the back, and an overmoulded second layer of opaque ABS-PC or opaque ABS that compensates for the height thereof simultaneously realizing a support with integrated fastening elements and a masking background. On the back is a particular decorative treatment having an ultra-thin metallization layer with a thickness of less than 0.05 micrometres, on which a shadowing layer with an anti-transparency effect is superimposed. Embodiment variants are provided in which the decorative elements have a three-dimensional appearance obtained from a mould by means of cavities in the head or with a shading optical effect.
Cover element
A cover element is provided for a radome in a vehicle, which has an at least partially metallised film which is over-moulded on a front side with a layer of a first plastic and back-moulded on a back side with a cover layer of the second plastic, wherein a heating element is provided on the back side or front side of the at least partially metallised film.

Provided is a receiving/transmitting device for vehicle that inhibits applied cleaning liquid from spoiling an outer appearance of a vehicle. A receiving/transmitting device for vehicle of the present invention includes: a receiver/transmitter configured to receive and/or transmit a radio wave; a transmissive cover positioned so as to be fixed relative to the receiver/transmitter; a receiver/transmitter moving unit configured to cause the cover and the receiver/transmitter to reciprocate between a receiving/transmitting position and a cleaning position; and a nozzle device configured to eject cleaning liquid toward the surface of the cover when the receiver/transmitter is at the cleaning position.

An ornament includes a base material; and a silver particle layer containing silver particles and disposed on the base material, wherein the silver particle layer has surface resistivity of 10.sup.4Ω/□ or more, and the silver particles are stacked in the silver particle layer in a thickness direction of the silver particle layer.
Personalized product modification
An apparatus and method for personalized product modification is disclosed. The personalized product modification may be applied to various different types of vehicle components. For example, a lid covering may be placed on the top exterior portion of a particular vehicle component, such as an air intake system. The lid may have certain structural characteristics which provide for aesthetic features, such as colors or various other designs, to be subject to varying degrees of user customization. On the underside of the lid covering may be additional customizable components which provide for even greater user customization of the aesthetic appearance of various vehicle components. For example, various colors and designs may be placed on the exterior of the vehicle component, with the lid acting so as to safely and securely cover the customizable components.
Light source including modified multi-layer lenses
Disclosed is a multi-layer lens arrangement for a vehicle light. The lenses include printed ink or other deposited materials at each level of lens, and can, in some versions, create a three-dimensional effect for a graphic.
VEHICLE EXTERIOR PART
A vehicle exterior part includes a decorative body, a heater sheet, a connector pin. The decorative body includes a base material, and a transparent resin layer. The heater sheet includes a heat generating body, and an extending portion. A part of the heater wire in the extending portion is joined to the connector pin inside an outer periphery of the base material by a joining portion made of a conductive material. The outer periphery is formed with a window configured to join the heater wire to the connector pin by the joining portion in a state where a joining position is exposed to an outside of the outer periphery. The window is provided with a waterstop portion configured to restrict water from entering the joining position. The waterstop portion is formed by filling the window with a potting material.
