A wheel cover assembly includes a wheel housing configured to house a wheel mechanism; a neck portion upwardly extending from the wheel housing, wherein the neck portion includes a hollow channel that extends into the wheel housing; a pair of clips configured on the neck portion; and a lip portion extending from a lower portion of the wheel housing. The wheel housing includes a first half wheel cover; a second half wheel cover; and a plurality of tabs connected to each of the first half wheel cover and the second half wheel cover, wherein the plurality of tabs selectively align together upon connection of the first half wheel cover with the second half wheel cover.

VEHICLE FRAME COMPONENT

A vehicle frame component for limiting the movement of the wheel of the vehicle toward the cab of a cab on frame vehicle including a base member welded to openings in the frame side rail and extending outwardly and located proximal the wheel structure. In one embodiment the vehicle frame component is located forward of the wheel and includes a tire puncture device to deflate the tire during an offset front impact and in a second embodiment the vehicle frame component is located rearward of the wheel. The vehicle frame component has particular utility during an offset front impact where the offset is less than approximately twenty-five percent (25%) of the width of the vehicle.

In a vehicle, a first left cover at least partially covers a lower edge of a left lower projection from the left in a left-right direction of a body frame at least temporarily when the body frame is caused to lean from an upright state to the right at a maximum angle, as viewed from the left in the left-right direction of the body frame. A first right cover at least partially covers a lower edge of a right lower projection from the right in the left-right direction of the body frame at least temporarily when the body frame is caused to lean from the upright state to the left at a maximum angle, as viewed from the right in the left-right direction of the body frame.

Wheel rotation blocking apparatus

A tire rotation blocking apparatus is disclosed for preventing a front tire of a vehicle from moving toward a passenger compartment in a small offset rigid barrier front-end collision. In one embodiment, an elongated bar is received by a plurality of guide members that each define an aperture extending in a longitudinal direction and that are fixedly attached to the vehicle. An actuator, such as a pyrotechnic device, is operatively connected to the bar to drive the bar longitudinally between the wheel and the passenger compartment in a front-end collision. In another embodiment, the actuator includes a spring attached to the bar, or blocker, that is released to drive the bar in a forward longitudinal direction. At least one stop engages the bar to hold the bar in the blocking position between the wheel and the passenger compartment.

Telescoping vehicle safety guard

A safety guard for a vehicle, such as a school or transit bus, tractor trailer or the like-type vehicle, includes a guard positioned in front of a wheel of the vehicle that will function to push individuals and other animate objects out of the path of the wheels for safety purposes, while being mounted for movement to protect the guard from damage upon abutting an inanimate object during operation of the vehicle.

FRONT END MODULE

A front end module for covering a front of a front vehicle part of a motor vehicle includes a crossmember that is connectable to longitudinal carriers of a motor vehicle frame so as to absorb loads of a bumper. An upper frame element is connected to the crossmember for supporting an engine hood. A receiving region for receiving a radiator grill is disposed between the crossmember and the upper frame element. Fastening elements disposed on the crossmember and/or the upper frame element are configured to fasten an intercooler for cooling charge air of a turbocharger, with respect to the driving direction, in front of a wheel arch that receives a front wheel. A crash structure is connected to the fastening elements for absorbing impact energy by way of plastic deformation and covers a majority of the front wheel in an installed state of the front end module.

A utility terrain vehicle fender system for reducing debris flying onto a utility terrain vehicle when driving includes a utility terrain vehicle and a plurality of removable tracks is rotatably coupled to the utility terrain vehicle. A fender is removably fastened to each removable track for reducing debris flying off the removable tracks onto the utility terrain vehicle.

Rotatable wheel deflector

A vehicle includes a vehicle frame and a swing arm rotatably coupled to the vehicle frame at a rotatable connection. A track curves along a curved path. The track is fixed relative to the swing arm and spaced from the rotatable connection. An anchor is fixed relative to the vehicle frame. The track is slideably engaged with the anchor along the curved path of the track. A pyrotechnic actuator is between the vehicle frame and the swing arm.
