A composite material structural member including a core member, composite material members, and at least one composite material sheet. The members are disposed around the core member and are adhered to each other to form a hollow space. The composite material sheet is disposed between the core member and the members so as to overlap the bonded portion between the members. The composite material sheet forms a hollow composited structure together with the members.

A side underride system configured to be coupled to a trailer may comprise a first skirt wall coupled to the trailer, positioned below a first side wall of the trailer, and extending along a first length of the trailer between a skirt wall front end and a skirt wall rear end and a cable system including a first cable coupled to the trailer, positioned below the first side wall, and extending along a second length of the trailer between a cable system front end and a cable system rear end, the skirt wall rear end being positioned forward of the cable system rear end.
Rear underrun protection system for a vehicle
An underrun protection system for arranging on a rear of a vehicle includes a crossmember and two support arms for supporting the crossmember and for mounting on a mounting structure of the vehicle. The underrun protection system further includes two connecting devices for mounting the crossmember on the support arms. The connecting devices serve as reinforcing parts for the partial reinforcement of the crossmember and/or the connecting devices are designed for adjustability along the crossmember.

An underrun protection system for arranging on a rear of a vehicle includes a crossmember and two support arms for supporting the crossmember and for mounting on a mounting structure of the vehicle. The underrun protection system further includes two connecting devices for mounting the crossmember on the support arms. Rear impact guard assembly for trailers
A semi-trailer has a rear impact guard including an elongated horizontal member that attaches to a trailer by a pair of vertical guards. The horizontal member may have a top surface, a bottom surface, and a leading edge from which a surface of the guard member extends rearward to the top or bottom surface. The rear impact guard may include a pair of gussets that extend from the vertical guards. Each gusset may include a main generally planar portion, a first stiffening flange perpendicular to the main portion, and a second stiffening flange perpendicular to the first stiffening flange.

Underrun Protector
Underrun protector including an inner member having an inner face portion extending along a vehicle width and height direction, a lateral face portion extending from an end on a first side in the vehicle height direction of the inner face portion to a rear side, and a longitudinal extension portion extending from a rear end of the lateral face portion to a second side in the vehicle height direction. An outer member has an outer face portion extending along the vehicle width and height direction and disposed on the rear side of the longitudinal extension portion and a lateral extension portion extending from an end on the first side in the vehicle height direction of the outer face portion to a front side and overlapping the lateral face portion on an outside in the vehicle height direction. A connection part connects the lateral face portion and the lateral extension portion.
Underrun Protector
Underrun protector including an inner member having an inner face portion extending along a vehicle width and height direction, a lateral face portion extending from an end on a first side in the vehicle height direction of the inner face portion to a rear side, and a longitudinal extension portion extending from a rear end of the lateral face portion to a second side in the vehicle height direction. An outer member has an outer face portion extending along the vehicle width and height direction and disposed on the rear side of the longitudinal extension portion and a lateral extension portion extending from an end on the first side in the vehicle height direction of the outer face portion to a front side and overlapping the lateral face portion on an outside in the vehicle height direction. A connection part connects the lateral face portion and the lateral extension portion.
Vehicle protection assembly
Vehicle side protector is disclosed. The vehicle external side protector vehicle external side protector has at least two 2-piece vertically moveable guards of a height from bottom of wheel to desired height up the vehicle and a connecting guard stretching from the first to the second vertically moveable guard. The 2-pieces of a vertically moveable guard are connected by a lever; and the length of the vehicle external side protector is less than the distance from the outer perimeter of a front wheel to the outer perimeter of a back wheel of a vehicle side to deploy and retract from underneath the vehicle and be stored underneath the vehicle in parallel plane to the vehicle's undercarriage. The vehicle external side protector rests on a track with an end point block; and connected to an actuator. Also disclosed are vehicle external front and back protectors.
REAR IMPACT GUARD
A trailer includes front and rear ends spaced in a longitudinal direction to define a cargo area. A frame includes a rear bolster extending in a transverse direction across the rear end below a bottom rear edge of the cargo area. Spaced rear frame posts extend upwardly from respective distal ends of the rear bolster. A rear impact guard includes a bumper extending transversely and spaced below the rear bolster, a pair of outboard posts extending between the bumper and the rear bolster adjacent the respective distal ends of the rear bolster, and at least one inboard post. Each of the outboard posts has a rearward-extending horizontal first flange and an upward-extending vertical second flange spaced forwardly of the first flange, these flanges including multiple apertures aligned with apertures in the trailer frame, each of the apertures accommodating a removable fastener securing the rear impact guard to the trailer frame.
