CRASH CUSHION WITH IMPROVED SIDE PANEL ATTACHMENT
A crash cushion includes a number of spaced-apart supports or bulkheads; energy-absorbing modules positioned between the supports; overlapping side panels that interconnect the supports; front and rear fixed anchors; and reinforcing cables extending between the anchors. The crash cushion also includes indexing structure that permits each hinge to be selectively mounted in several different positions with respect to its support; angle set structure that allows the hinges to pivot relative to the supports up to a defined pivot range.

TRAILER WITH REAR IMPACT GUARD
A trailer comprises a pair of opposed side walls, a floor, and a roof. A pair of opposed lower side rails extend generally parallel to a longitudinal axis of the trailer and having aft ends. The floor has an aft end edge forward of the aft ends of the lower side rails. A plurality of transverse frame members span between the lower side rails and underlie and support the floor. A crash plate assembly is secured to the lower side rails and transverse frame members and has a threshold plate, a pair of inboard supports, and a pair of outboard supports, the threshold plate extending from the aft end edge of the floor to the aft ends of the lower side rails. A rear frame assembly is secured to the crash plate assembly, side walls, and roof, the rear frame assembly having a pair of opposed vertical side members, a lower cross member, and an upper cross member. A rear impact guard assembly has a pair of inboard supports, a pair of outboard supports, and a horizontal member secured to lower ends of the inboard and outboard supports of the guard assembly, respective ones of the inboard and outboard supports of the guard assembly secured to respective ones of the inboard and outboard supports of the crash plate assembly.
MULTISTAGE AIRBAG IMPACT ABSORPTION APPARATUS OF VEHICLE
A multistage airbag impact absorption apparatus of a truck is made of urethane and characterized by an airbag that has a plane shape on one side and an elliptical shape on the other side and has two air perforations attached with a perforated part and air inlet and outlet part, a core part formed with many core perforations attached to the airbag, a base plate formed with plate perforations and attached to the core part that helps the perforated part project out upon collision with the air inlet and outlet part, an air inlet and outlet part attached to air perforations of the airbag, core perforations of the core part and plate perforations of the base plate, a second impact absorption part attached to both sides of the base plate, and a second base plate that is attached to the truck body and supports the second impact absorption part.
Composite Structures for Forming Vehicle Barrier Systems
A reinforcement structure (10) comprising an inner member (14) at least partially secured within a shell (12), wherein the inner member is secured within the shell so that one or more abutment portions (18 of the shell are positioned in receiving portions (20) of the inner member, to create at least a partial press-fit condition between the inner member and the shell.
FRONT STRUCTURE FOR A UTILITY VEHICLE, PREFERABLY FOR A LORRY
The invention relates to a front structure for a utility vehicle, preferably for a lorry, as well as a utility vehicle comprising a front structure of this type. The front structure comprises two lateral longitudinal frame rails, a cooling module (3) arranged between the longitudinal frame rails and supported on the longitudinal frame rail via lateral pivot bearings (6) with a common pitch axis, and a pendulum support (7) secured to the cooling module (3) and supported directly or indirectly on the longitudinal frame rail for absorbing tilting movements of the cooling module. The pendulum support (7) is characterised by a target failure point (8), which is designed to fail in the event of a head-on crash with a crash-related application of force (F), in order to release a tilting movement of the cooling module (3) and/or to no longer absorb same. In this way, in the event of a head-on crash, the backward displacement of a driver cabin mounted on the front structure can be improved and the intrusion of the driver cabin can thereby be reduced and the safety of the occupant improved.

UNDERRUN PROTECTION AND VEHICLE
An underrun protection mounted on a vehicle body frame includes: a main body that is hollow in shape and has a longitudinal direction along the width direction of a vehicle; a connecting part connected to the vehicle body frame; a bracket provided farther toward a distal end in the longitudinal direction than the connecting part, inside the main body. The bracket includes a vertical panel disposed along the vertical direction, and a horizontal panel that is connected to a lower end of the vertical panel and is disposed along the longitudinal direction.
Trailer with rear impact guard
A trailer has a rear floor assembly having a threshold plate and at least a pair of supports extending downwardly from the threshold plate, a rear lower cross member secured to the rear floor assembly, and a rear impact guard assembly having at least a pair of supports and a horizontal member secured to lower ends of the supports, upper ends of respective ones of the supports of the guard assembly secured to lower ends of respective ones of the supports of the rear floor assembly.
