SEAT BELT DEVICE
A seat belt device includes a webbing and a tongue. The webbing includes a lap belt and a shoulder belt. At least a portion of the lap belt is configured to be disposed to extend in a vehicle-width direction along a front of an abdomen of an occupant. At least a portion of the shoulder belt is configured to be disposed obliquely along a front of a chest of the occupant. The tongue is provided between the lap belt and the shoulder belt of the webbing and is configured to be coupled to a vehicle body when the tongue is to be mounted. The tongue rotates in accordance with a collision or a warning of the collision of a vehicle in a direction in which the shoulder belt is twisted with respect to the vehicle body.
Seat belt test apparatus
A seat belt test apparatus for testing a safety restraint system for a vehicle comprises a first, a second, and a third test stand, an impactor apparatus, and a resistor apparatus. The first, a second, and a third test stand are selectively fixed to a test bench. The first, second and third test stands each comprises a pulley disposed proximate a top end of each of the first, second, and third test stand. The first test stand further comprises a first pretensioner mount. The third test stand further comprises a second pretensioner mount.
Occupant restraint system and related methods
An occupant restraint system including a seat having a head rest where the seat has a seat belt anchor, a seat belt retractor and a seat coupling member each coupled with the seat. The system further includes a seat belt assembly including a first seat belt portion and a second seat belt portion. At least one deployable restraint is stored on or within at least one of the seat belt assembly or the seat, where the at least one deployable restraint has a deployed position and a retracted position that is deployed by a deployment member.

OCCUPANT RESTRAINT BELT WEBBING, SEAT BELT, AND SEAT BELT DEVICE
An occupant restraint belt webbing forms an occupant restraint belt to restrain a vehicle occupant, and includes a plurality of warp yarns and a plurality of weft yarns. The plurality of warp yarns and the plurality of weft yarns are woven so as to extend orthogonally to each other. The warp yarns include an infrared light absorption yarn, and a thickness of the infrared light absorption yarn differs from a thickness of each yarn of the plurality of wrap yarns other than the infrared light absorption yarn.

Safety Device
A pretensioning lapbelt apparatus where the pretensioning of the lapbelt is performed by the rapid inflation of an airbag that is integral to the lapbelt itself. A preferred embodiment of the pretensioning lapbelt apparatus would include a length of seatbelt webbing with a latch fixed on one end and a cinching anchor slidable on the opposite end. Integral to the lapbelt and attached to each end of the webbing is an airbag. The airbag, as is known in the art, is configured to be flat and folded in a compact uninflated state, and then quickly inflate to its inflated state upon the introduction of an inflation gas triggered by a crash event. The design of the airbag, including the attachment locations of the ends of the webbing are chosen such that, upon inflation of the airbag, the free end of the webbing—the end of the webbing that is passed through the cinching latch—is pulled taught, thereby reducing the effective length of the lapbelt (the length between the latch and the cinching anchor). The anchor is designed to be a cinching anchor such that once the airbag deploys and pulls the webbing through the anchor (thereby pretensioning the lapbelt) a sliding pin in the anchor “cinches” the webbing, effectively locking the webbing in the pretensioned state.
PASSENGER SAFETY SYSTEM
Disclosed is a system and method for passenger safety. A sensing unit, remote device, and/or fob may interoperate to provide various alerts and other indications representative of aspects of a context environment proximate to a sensing unit. In this manner, passenger safety may be enhanced.

Wearing detection apparatus, imaging apparatus, restraint device, and wearing detection program
According to one embodiments, a wearing detection apparatus includes a restraint device, an imaging device, a control unit, and an output device. The restraint device is to restrain a passenger seated in a seat, and includes a strap an exposed area of which changes when the strap is being worn and not worn. The imaging device captures an image of the restraint device including the strap. The control unit detects from the image captured by the imaging device, a recognition image corresponding to a recognition member provided in an area that is exposed when the strap is worn. The output device outputs a result of detection of the recognition image.
