Safety belt device in a motor vehicle
A belt fitting for a safety belt device in a motor vehicle, the fitting having a base portion and an adjoining insertion tongue, in which base portion a belt eye is provided, through which a belt strap is guided and which subdivides the belt strap into a shoulder belt portion and a lap belt portion when the belt is fastened, and additionally having a clamping element that is freely movable between a release position, in which the belt strap is run freely movably through the belt eye, and a clamping position in which the belt strap is clamped tightly with a clamping force between the clamping element and a clamping stop. According to the invention, the clamping element and/or the clamping stop has a clamping contour, with which the belt strap can be clamped tightly in the clamping position over a belt strap width in a non-linear and/or uneven clamping force distribution.

Seat
A seat for use in a passenger vehicle, e.g. for prisoner transport, comprises a molded piece having at least one first contact zone at a periphery of the molded piece and at least second contact zone located inward of the periphery of molded piece. The second contact zone may comprise a multi-surface formation that is configured to engage a multi-surface formation of a vehicle body. The molded piece may comprise one or more recesses designed to accommodate the body of a passenger. The at least one second contact zone may be disposed in an area of the seat that receives the buttocks of a passenger, thereby providing additional support in a load bearing area of the seat.
Tongue assembly
A locking tongue assembly for a seatbelt system includes a body having a belt webbing opening through which a belt webbing is passable and in which a cinch bar is locatable for cinching the belt webbing, the cinch bar having a main body portion and first and second end portions, the belt webbing opening being defined by axially spaced apart first and second sidewalls, each of which is adapted to receive a respective end portion of the cinch bar, and a stop portion in the belt webbing opening for urging against the main body portion of the cinch bar.

Extendable arm assembly
An extendable arm assembly includes an extendable arm structure defining a first axis, a second axis perpendicular to the first axis, and a third axis perpendicular to the first axis and the second axis. The extendable arm structure is configured to be actuated between a stowed configuration and an extended configuration in which the extendable arm structure extends along the first axis. The extendable arm structure includes a main body having a plurality of recesses and a plurality of hinge portions, and a first bladder disposed on the main body delimiting the recesses formed in the main body. The extendable arm assembly is configured to apply vacuum to the recesses to fold the main body along the hinge portions.

Bayonet coupler and vehicle occupant restraint system for use therein
A bayonet connector device including a female coupler including an annular wall defining a female coupler opening and a central axis, and a plurality of female coupler engagement structures extending radially inward from the annular wall toward the central axis, and a male coupler sized to be received within the female coupler opening and including a plurality of male coupler engagement structures shaped to mesh with the female coupler engagement structures. The female coupler engagement structures and the male coupler engagement structures define an inner length in an axial direction parallel with the central axis, and an outer length in the axial direction at a position radially farther away from the central axis than the inner length. The outer length is greater than the inner length.
